नरेंद्र के गुरु, श्री रामकृष्ण परमहंस एक अद्भुत इंसान थे। उनकी आध्यात्मिक तपस्या को जाने बिना हम उनके चरित्र को सही आदर नहीं दे पाएंगे। नरेंद्र के जीवन की आगे की कहानी जानने से पहले उनकी नजरों से उनके गुरु, उनके ठाकुर को जानना बहुत ही आवश्यक है। बहुत ही अद्भुत सामंजस्य था इन दोनों का।
