They said yes to curiosity. This Gen Z said yes to dressing them accordingly.
For this yesticle, Akumu and Claire flip the generational script and invite a real Gen Z voice into the studio, not just to talk, but to style them, challenge them, and help them rethink what identity, fashion, and power look like today in the teenage and young adult world.
Introducing the youngest guest expert, thus far, Annet Kavata. Kavata is a medical student at Aga Khan University, Founding President of Girl Up AKU, and a climate justice innovator working at the intersection of youth leadership, sustainability, and social change in Kenya.
What starts as a playful Millennial-to-Gen Z makeover quickly becomes a deeper conversation about:
what Gen Z fashion actually representshow young people use style as identity, armour, and expressionthe pressure of being labelled "Gen Z"generational stereotypes and power dynamicsyouth activism, climate justice, and leadership in Africa
This isn't a generational showdown. It's a conversation, curious, slightly chaotic, and surprisingly insightful, about what we miss when we reduce whole generations to memes. It's about putting us in the same room, handing over the reins, and seeing what we learn when we stop judging each other and start paying closer attention.
Expect humour, chaos, cultural commentary, and a few unexpected realisations...all styled in one very Gen Z-approved outfit.
