After more than a bit of a hiatus, SC and your fearless Galaxy-Brained host, Chairman Bane, are back in the ring with some support from our dearest podcasting Dialectical Pessimist comrades, The Regrettable Century!

We are back in the saddle with our resident Existential Clown™ extraordinaire, Comrade Jeff, to delve into one of the biggest influences of dialectical pessimism and Subjective Conditions/Red Library as a whole, Walter Benjamin! This episode is a long-time coming and we cover a number of Wally B's key concepts like the Angelus Novus, messianic time, social barbarism, and a number of other still relevant and radical ideas that exemplify the warm stream Marxist current.

Description

Subjective Conditions looks at a wide variety of perspectives on how capitalism shapes our own experiences of our lives and senses of self in the world today. We emphasize how to bring in all sorts of different theories and practices on how to engage in collective and individual trauma healing work and community building to help listeners work through the emotional devastation under capitalism today to find a new way to be with themselves and others.
With friends and guests joining us along the way, we take conversational approach to dialogues on how things like attachment theory, psychedelic healing work, spiritual and religious practices, psychoanalysis, and individual approaches to healing must be balanced with a larger critique of capitalism for them to be truly effective and radical in our daily lives.
