These include, increased PFC activation with sustained focus; the ability to notice and let go of thoughts; decreased amygdala activity related to noticing and letting go of fear reactions; increased insula activity related to interoception; increased grey matter associated with increased neural connectivity across the brain; increased temporal-parietal activity related to ability to take perspective and empathy; and decreased DMN activity related to lower self focus and rumination.
