Vita e opere di un artista assoluto

Buongiorno cari amici e amanti dell’italiano e benvenuti all’episodio numero 119.

Oggi parliamo di arte e più precisamente di un artista conosciuto in tutto il mondo, una figura iconica del Rinascimento italiano: Michelangelo Buonarroti.

„Sono stato allevato a latte e marmo“ diceva di lui. Infatti pur essendo un eccezionale pittore, architetto, poeta, lui si considerava prima di tutto uno scultore. La sua balia, cioè la donna che lo allattava, che gli dava il proprio latte, quando lui era un bebè, era la moglie di uno scalpellino. Lo scalpellino è la persona che lavora il marmo e quindi Michelangelo era cresciuto in casa di un artista, dove c’era molto marmo.

Michelangelo nasce il 16 marzo del 1475 a Caprese, dove il padre è podestà. La famiglia però è molto impoverita e per cercare di mantenere la famiglia il padre si trasferisce a Settignano, paese di scalpellini dove si estraeva la pietra serena, pietra particolarmente adatta alla scultura e all’architettura.

Quando Michelangelo ha soli 6 anni la mamma muore. Queste vicende famigliari influiscono molto sul carattere dell’artista. Sarà sempre preoccupato per la posizione economica e pessimista. Già da piccolo Michelangelo è bravo nel disegno, ma la sua vena artistica viene ostacolata dal padre.
