Playing the game is fun, but you could get stuck in sticky situations. That’s the case for me. At a chapter in the first story line, I got in a fight with CULT OBSIDIAN. I thought he would be fine like all other battles before. But, he was the hardest fight yet. 60 attempts and I still didn’t defeat him. And, I Donot like in-game purchases, so nope, I didn’t buy any heroes. I was stuck there and therefore ragequit. I know Kabam very well, MCoc is a good game spoiled by Kabam management... in order to make player base spend unnecessarily they design intentional lags and drops, the lag timings are designed to hamper the performance of players so that they get hit at the crucial moments and spend money on revives. What might come off as a beautiful game at first glance, is actually a cleverly designed gambling game with its core mechanics focussed on gambles, in which the house always wins (yes, the game’s algorithms prevent you from getting the right resources or champions even when it is based on chance). Having spent a fruitless 4 years on this game, I lament my choice of wasted time. The game only adds to your stress, demanding something like a second profession out of you. And soon you’ll realise that completing content becomes nigh impossible unless-

A: you are willing to spend a lot of real life money

B: you are willing to spend almost your entire waking hours on this game (if you are free to play), and still come out disappointed.

That being said, my advice would be to stay away from this game. It will cause you to become addicted to it (because the crystal mechanic is very akin to going into a casino and playing the roulette). Do not download it. There are better games to be found.

But here is what disappoints me a lot; the game currently has become a gambling zone where in you need to shell out a lot of money and even then the rewards are not guaranteed. The higher you spend the more likely you are going to get good rewards. I understand the main motto of any app is to generate money, but here’s what Kabam “not everyone has that kind of money on them”...there are people who have been dedicating a lot of their time to the game, and playing without spending cash on it. You are bound to lose them if you continue this. Just something to think about.

I have been playing this game for over 5 years now. It’s a great game with depth in characters, play styles, usabilities and strategies. There ends the good part!

This game was becoming boring for majority of the community, so they throw us a roadmap. Don’t we consumers deserve a roadmap even without our backlash? No, you wait for the entire community to get frustrated before you come up with a dreamy roadmap - which, honestly, more than half the community (including me) are only hopeful and not confident that Kabam will actually bring in those changes anytime soon.

Few weeks after roadmap, there are innumerable issues that is affecting the entire community. Game is going down regularly and we have no visibility into the “why” except for canned responses/posts from their community team. Let me not start about their internal beta testing team - It’s probably the worst in the world.

To summarise, this game is still great and has the potential to be #1 mobile game, but is in the wrong Dev/beta testing team’s hands. And no amazing offers, dreamy roadmaps or community building will save it unless their dev team get their acts together.

Crashes at startup

The game was working fine in the morning, I played for quite a while but now it just immediately crashes on startup. One thing that oddly works is turning off WiFi and mobile data and then the game starts, shows loading screen and after the main splash screen of the latest update it says WiFi not available and when I turn WiFi on, it instantly crashes. My network speed is fine, did multiple speed tests, other online games are working too (except one other game which shows similar behaviour). I restarted my phone, didn’t help, game still crashes at startup with WiFi enabled. I’m using an iPhone 11 with iOS 13.4.1.

Tried downloading the game on another family member’s phone (iOS 12.1) and same thing, freshly downloaded and doesn’t even open fully once, crashes at startup. Please look into the issue as soon as possible Kabam.

I have played this greedy game for 3 years & tried my level best to cope up with the speed of game by grinding arena for units & other possible way to stay until it went beyond my hands. I quit this game a year back just because there is no value if you don’t spend money here. Im far better player than many out there but noobs always who spend get 6* good characters & level up quickly as they spend. Though im a pro also i was lacking behind just because I couldn’t spend. This game is really good if you can spend thousands of dollars or its waste of playing as its very difficult & time killing for free players. I quit only because for everything it needs money 😀 no value for skilled players vs noobs (who spend loads).

First off your game is great. But the arenas have been tough to complete and get our champion. Why not try a different method?

You can make a quest. Such that reward for that quest is the champion (x) itself. And the quest should be completed by (x). The champion should be playable (temporarily for the quest) and by completing the quest the champion is the reward. I really appreciate the work and effort put into and I hope the game gets better eventually.

I am playing this game since a long time, it was a fun to play game but now this game is only for spenders. Free to play users are playing day and night and their progress goes like a tortoise even if they have superb skills. But spenders are progressing like rabbit and reaching the goal really fast. When 6* champs arrived it was a deep thought that how someone can rank them up. But spenders are ranking them to R3 and almost all their 6* champs are at the current highest level. Plus what I noticed that spenders get the best champs from their openings and f2p users get meme tier champs. These alliance war tactics, champion nerfs, aq donation changes and everything is getting beyond limits. Kabam now wants everything to be purchased with units (new aq pots, aw pots, aq tickets, rankup materials etc etc) so f2p users will now be forced to buy units or grind arena day and night to collect units because the rankup resources and aq aw potions are limited mostly to glory and monthly uncollected event, people are being forced to buy those with real money. Fix it or lose your summoners.

Everything in the game is good, except I don’t like the fact that you can put a lot of money in the game and progress in no time, but, even if you’re a good player, the progress is really slow. The rewards are very less for the amount of time you put in the game. Kabam doesn’t reward people with good playing ability. No matter how well you play, only in game spendings will give you quick overall growth, which is idiotic and greedy according me. They should reward as per how well the match was played, review good players and increase rewards as per merit of a player, being biased towards spenders is too selfish.

This is the best ever Marvel game app created among “Marvel Future Fight” and “Marvel Strike Force”. Very much realistic graphics and even 24 hours is not enough to play it daily. The rewards are huge and superb. However one thing disappoints me that is the cost for buying any special offer with money. The cost for the Summoner’s Sigil and the Bundles are very high. So please look on that and reduce the price money. The app is otherwise FANTABULOUS and EXTRAVAGANT!!!

If you love this game, you'll be forced to play all the time. Yes, 24 hours a day won’t be enough. They’ll bleed you dry. AQs and AWs and alliance events are very stressful. I used to love it when it was just AQs and small events. The alliance people constantly bully you to play if you are a good player. So much pressure. Summoner advancement is hell if you're in big alliances. Hate this game now. Shame, because I loved it and played it for so long daily the last year. Games are supposed to be fun and addictive, not take away your entire life! I deleted the game a few months back because of this. This is what happens when developers are greedy and money hungry. Hate this game. Hate kabam. Bye!

Have been playing this game non-stop for last 6 to 7 months and I am far from getting bored. There’s always enough happening to keep you busy. Amazing graphics and interesting stories.

The recent updates however, have been incrementally frustrating. I am experiencing extreme heating of the phone, sometimes the graphics are choppy and screen is freezing from time to time...and I use iPhone 6s where I have not experienced this with any other game or app.

Kabam team must look into this issue soon or else I will have to stop playing not because I don’t love the game but because I love my phone as well and can’t let it burn out.

After the recent update, i.e., version 19.0.0, the game is heating up the phone very fast and also more battery heavy it has become. It is also causing app crashes and screen freezes sometimes, and this is a performance issue of the app and not of a he phone, because other bigger and heavier apps run fine. I use iPhone 7 and this game, after this new update, is not at all optimised for performance. Such an issue is not expected by a big app developer like this.

Let me start out by saying that I love Marvel and I’ve been playing this game for the past 3 years. Every game has its ups and downs and a game that is free to download naturally has microtransactions. But where I draw the line is when sustaining a business turns to greed. A lot of Kabam’s recent decisions have been motivated by greed. Lack of integrity and proper supervision of high tier gameplay, poor communication with the player base and a degrade in the quality of purchasable offers and content are just some of the problems in this game right now. As it stands right now, a lot of the resentment and anger built up by the player base over the years is starting to pour out. Kabam is a business at the end of the day, but it can’t expect to just hide behind the Marvel name and treat its entire player base as it sees fit. We all love Marvel and a lot of us love this game, which only makes all the more sad to view its current state.

I played the game for 2 Years and some.

The characters are and graphics is really good.

If you play solo then it can remain just another game, in the alliance mode it can be like having another job.

Either way, I’d recommend staying away from this game altogether.

There’s way too many glitches which always leads to the player spending more.

Not much has improved since the disastrous v12.0 update, the game needs to progress but not by creating 6 stars, 7 stars(can go on forever) atleast not in the current model where the lower stars are disadvantaged when up against a higher star.

Player progression in general needs more than 24 hours of your time per day (not realistic), inspite of the amount of money spending one does.

Most importantly everything the developers do is to ensure the player spends more than ever before(a balance is understandable but the reality is skewed where players spending money and time are bled dry): be it due to glitches or with weakening characters you spend you time and money to be able to compete and use less items.

Steer clear: You have been Cautioned.

I would have given 0 rating if it was possible. I'm writing this review from a pay to play perspective. Gameplay is good but that is it, If you play any games by this developers you will know how greedy they are. They will milk your money and you will still have nothing to show for unless you don't care about the money part. Kabam has a bad history of being one of the greediest company and they haven't changed. MCOC is just a copy paste of their other game that is Transformers:FTF with nothing unique between this 2 games, everything feels the same.
