I was so excited to see an app that can automate the categorization and aggregate my finance! This sound like an App you need? Well it does not work as promised. I kept sharing my inputs to the team for over 15 days, all they kept doing was to direct me to do things. Delete App, Delete Account and whatever they could come up with. None of the suggestions worked. The app has been of no use to me. The two stars is for response time from team. They didn't solve the problem but at least responded to my messages.

New update not only removed a bunch of features on an already feature thin app, the UI has also been changed to become borderline unusable.
Need multiple frustrating clicks to get the most basic stuff done. I would rather use Excel than this to track expenses now.
An AI chatbot has been added because that's what you need in an expense tracker. Brain dead update.

I had quit wally some years ago as the app had become buggy and slow but was able to get an update of this AI run updated version and it makes me come back to wally.. great looking though i miss those exceptional stats but I am sure this works well - some improvements required as well to make it a too class

What I liked the most about this app is I could add individual bill details of what was purchased for how much. The current updated version doesn’t include that. I have been using this app for 3 years only for this feature. Now that it doesn’t support that feature anymore I don’t see a purpose of using this app now. Disappointing update.

Great app for personal finance management. Although I would like more analysis like avg monthly expense estimations, I can live with current features. Only reason I give it 3stars is , app can be buggy after their updates. In the last 2years I have been using, I sort of restart the app when it gets stuck, but their last update in June 2022, completely ruined expense addition, and no fix has been given until now. So I can’t use app anymore, and just noting my expenses in notes. The waiting time for the fix is getting annoying.

I stopped using this app thinking maybe it will take some time to fetch bank transactions. Now today it shows my bank balance correctly but transactions showed are 1 year older.
Even the UI is distorted in many screens.

This app has no customer support or tutorial videos. I paid the yearly subscription fee to I clock all features, but it’s a downhill from there. The auto sync does not work. I tried to delete all data to start fresh, there is no option to delete all data. And though there is an option to reconnect or refresh the synced accounts, both do not work! And there is no place where you can ask for technical support. Do check out their website and you’ll know how serious they are about the app.

I have been using Wally for more than 2 years now, and it has become complex over time, but it has all the features that I need.
One thing I am noticing recently that it is not possible to save a recurring expense. This is a feature I use frequently and now because of this problem I am unable to use it.

I had bought the Premium membership thinking that it is a good way to keep track of all your transactions at one place. But to my surprise its a total waste. Initially it was good but I have been trying to sync my bank transactions since 2 months now and it is not syncing at all. It asks credentials ets takes its own sweet time and then says sync complete but shows no transactions at all. Only updates the balance. That even a message alert can do. What is even the point of paying money to you guys?????To worsen the situation, there is no way to reach these guys other than a feedback. What the hell!! I am paying money to just send feedbacks???

Wally as a tool has been great. Was very happy with Wally Lite and was happy to move to Wally 3.1 as communicated. However, surprised to find basic things missing which allowed one to look at historical expenses. Multiple options are great but everything can not be pushed to premium subscription. Also will be happy to subscribe as needed but currently it’s too confusing and cluttered compared to Lite. E.g. you cannot save a txn without adding a #tag :(

Ease of use: used to be good, now Poor. Interface is cluttered, No 3D touch menu, too many steps to add an entry.
Removing: Unable to remove added Groups and other items.
Purchase plan: The purchased app should be sharable across family at least, I think now it’s purchase per user.
Owed money: If there is a way to mention the owes amount is cleared/paid and added up to the final expense on to an account, it would be great.

The app is pretty good. Has lots of potential.
But it is quite buggy and cumbersome to use. Keeps crashing every time you attach or delete and attachment.
The developers need to iron out these bugs that make using the app a troublesome affair.

1. First of all, I can’t find an option to lock the app. Have a passcode and biometric to the wallet is required.
2. The app is very slow sometimes during type in the store or biller or any name. It get stuck . And when trying to give feedback on the app, it immediately close or crash.
3. Can’t use it in multiple device. And also it is not properly syncing the data sometime. ( i had problem with the foreign account option, its wasn't synced properly or my payments was missing)
There is no other issues I could find till now other than this.
Overall its a nice app, (best app with some probs , that can be fixed if the developer wills)

1. It’s a good application to track your expenses . You can find lot of billers and subscriptions already listed .
But this app has some serious issues.
1. No support on how to use
2. No support through email
3. Even for premium members there is no support
4. Same transaction is listed several times if you have synchronised your bank account with this application. Because of this expense report is totally wrong
5. Cannot remove or change the categories
6. Once you made any change , cannot revert.
Hope you have a support person who can answer few questions or at-least release a how to guide

I am a Premium customer and was using efficiently from last 2 years . Recently they added banking integration, which supposed to minimise the manually entries . But added duplication of data and all of my previous data crashed . At present not at all linking of bank data not working and it’s created confusion and all my chronological data has been gone . Better to look for alternative app .

The app used to be really good I’ve been using it for the past two years, however recently they have updated the UI. After so, not only is the UI not at all intuitive but it also lags, add incorrectly adds dates, crashes from time to time and and makes the user cringe on how much time has to be spend to find basic functions. I was a big fan and now I might just delete the app. Horribly designed Ui, and extremely poorly coded usability.

First I thought its confusing since i was used to the legacy app. But after trying it for one month and migrating the data from old wally app(legacy app), it felt like an upgraded. It has many secret gems and they have taken care of details. Some features are paid, but you can use the app without buying paid add ons and still get your work done.
I would say Go for it, those who are afraid to switch from older version.

Wally looks to have some great features, but the performance is extremely poor. The App hangs for several seconds in between operations, selecting items inside takes 3-4 touches sometimes and the general performance is laggy - I wasn’t able to perform anything without having clicked on it and waiting for a couple of seconds first. It’s a pity, because it seemed to have all the right features for me to use.
I tried using version 1.10.1 of this app on an iPhone XS Max, downloaded on 22nd August, 2019.
Don’t go for other app, this is the one you are lookin for

I have tried millions of app but was not satisfied with any of them. Either they have paid basic services or not mature enough.
This app is easy to use and have all basic needs you want in an finance/expense traker app

Wally was known for its intuitive UI and simple to go app. I have been using Wally lite for 6 yrs now and it’s unfortunate to see that the app is losing its edge. Especially it feels too cramped and many unnecessary features. Simple things are now more complicated and unintuitive. Missing features like one tap entry , feed passwd to open app, easy monthly expenditure review, etc. I really believe in this team and hope it can deliver the best user experience it was known for.

Dear Wally team,
I upgraded to lifetime pro version of your app over a year ago and was unable to login. I have sent about a dozen emails during this period requesting support for the same but I never heard back anything. I gave up due to no response from your end and assumed the company may not be operational anymore. This January I received a promotion email from you and I sent another email but still no response. Please help resolve the issue.

Updating my review: The app has a very basic savings figure. It does not have a feature to create a budget for categories. This I am realising is very important.
Its a great app. Updating my ratibgs to 5stars after the premium purchase.
It needs some probing before you get the hang of all the features it has to offer. I recommend the publishers to come up with a tutorial or they can even ask me 😜
Great app. Perfect evolution of the legacy app. Data entry is still simple, but requires more inputs as it now caters to multiple payment accounts. Insights are strong and in depth. Great work. If i ever made a financial app, i think it would have been on the lines this app takes.

Finally a great app to manage personal finance without sharing any passwords or credit card details and the best part is that it’s completely independent of network connectivity! Though it’s a bonus when you are online because then your Nearby option works wonders!
I would request the developers to come out with a desktop version at the earliest and also some kind of analysis about income too ... at the moment spendings are well analysed ... request look into income now ... while splitting a transaction an option of negative value should also be available eg when one wants to split a transaction at a retail store and a discount is to be recorded, at the moment this can’t be done because the option of a negative value is missing. Similarly when salary is required to be split into various heads at times a transfer field is required.
Apart from these minor issues Wally Next is an awesome app ... Kudos to the team!

I’m a freelancer and this app is LIFESAVER.
I maintain my every transaction in this app. From Tea to Cars Installment.
What I Like :
a) account management saving, credit card, cash
b) auto adjust the amount in each entry
c) simple use
Didn’t like :
a)no category management (need option to create, delete category)
b) wally need to update their website. They no where mentioned about this app.
c) no app tutorials (post some videos)
Overall.
Give a try you’ll never move to anothet app.

Very very difficult to use inspite of multiple facilities and reports it provides..simple things in wally has much complex in wallynext hope all issues to be rectified in coming releases..wondering why they spoiled a best working wally app i was using it more than 2 years..since its getting obselete moving to other app as i cant even use wally next for a day

Wally next is really neat and well designed. It caters to simple expense tracking as well as complicated accounts, loans, subscription management etc..
The UI is clean and intuitive.
If I had one criticism, it’s that some basic features like looking at a year’s expenses at a glance should be made free.

Wally is definitely one of the most important applications to have on your smartphone. Keeping track of your finances has never been easier. Having used the legacy version for years, it’s great to see some really amazing changes in the new version. I’m sure the team are working on making the whole experience even more easier.
Only concern is regarding back-up to iCloud for the new version.

Wally was my favorite app but for very slow updates. I liked it more because it was ad free, iOS exclusive, free and extraordinarily simple.
Wally next is so very complicated to use. It’s a great effort, I will move in when it’s time but for now I can’t use it. Good luck with next updates.

You took a really simple, good and useful app and turned it into this confusing piece of crap. And the sad part is I paid for the premium.
1. The overuse of over drop shadows.
2. Adding expense is now a time taking task when you have to figure out how to categorise an expense.
3. Apparently navigating to sections like Home, Streams, Insights is hard. Good luck with that.
4. Too much of information on home screen. I don’t see why you have put Places nearby on front page. Never used it.
5. Every time you add an expense you have to go through 1 more useless screen which shows information that I never see or can scan easily. There is a tiny done button in the bottom that I need to tap I every time.
6. Adding expense screen also seems confusing with all the tags, value and other stuff. In the legacy app it was so easy to use.
The only thing that I liked about the app is the frequent section, rest is garbage. All this is coming from a person who is really tech savvy. Had I known all this I wouldn’t have paid for the premium and gladly stick to the legacy app.
