Hi, I have been using discord for a long time but stopped in between as I got busy now I installed it on my iPhone 12 recently as I needed it for some work however the app is stuck on the loading screen and does not go ahead, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times, even restarted my phone and also deleted a few apps I have tried whatever I could but to no avail. I really have no idea what the issue is but this app was working perfectly fine on my phone in the past so for this issue to occur is quite strange and disappointing, requesting urgent fix of this issue asap. Thank you!!

Using the new UI over the phone and absolutely not enjoying it.
Discord’s previous UI was simpler and much efficient. Less number of swipes and taps. A much more easier functionality in finding server member lists and quicker to navigate.
Separating group DMs and Server notifications now leaves me with more confusion than ever before and sincerely, I don’t think there’s a learning curve it’s an annoying curve. I have to swipe more and navigate around to find my groups every damn time. Whereas previously they just popped up up top above the server icons when there was a notification. Why would someone make something that was so simple and complicate it?
Server channels auto hide themselves when you first update and open the app again once again making you wonder what just happened here?
Overall the smoother design interface is switched for a I don’t know why but slower interface which needs you to navigate more to get to the messages you want to.
I don’t think discord needed this kind of try to make a UI looking closer to other social media apps. It just feels overdesigned and poor now.
I’m simply a long time discord user, not even an expert in UI/UX. the point is, that if a design cannot work for a commoner what’s it value?

I have been using discord since Nov 2017. There was nothing like discord back then, there were things like TeamSpeak, which weren't straight forward. I have loved using this app since then, but I have seen the gradual shift in the company's goals. The corporate greed got to them. You could see changes being made that were only made to extract more money from the users. They added paywalls for things that were free, they removed a lot of things from the Nitro basic, and moved them all to the upper tier, to the point where Nitro basic is basically useless. They also keep making changes just to make changes, with nothing actually being gained. For example, the recent overhaul of the UI. Oh I wish discord mobile app had a different UI said no one. It's soo bad to the point it feels they took a step backwards. Everything used to feel seem less, it all worked and made sense. Now I feel soo much friction while using the app. And it is not even the kind of friction where you get used to it, none of the UI element placements make sense. None of it functions smoothly. It makes me wonder, did anyone at discord even use this before approving it?

I highly doubt there was a need to bring these changes.

I am trying to open account from my mobile phone. Took a lot of time to fill the details and then finish the I am human verification which appears twice. I provided email verification and mobile verification successfully and then they disabled my account. Stupid waste of time. Discord is the best hands down other than the one change. They made to the way you make your discord IDs with not using the number system anymore for multiple people could have the same names but appended by different numbers. It is an exemplary app. No chat app can even come close what I understand why they made that change in order to bring it in line with the systems of other apps and other apps a number is put in front of your name. It just makes things easier, especially for newcomers. Finding the idea and putting in numbers is not exactly intuitive for everyone but other than that Discord is perfect features, functionality and ease of use, including accessibility I am visually impaired and discord works flawlessly. It is optimise perfectly. There are no and labelled buttons. There is nothing that I cannot click on and every thing works smooth

It is an absolute nightmare to use discord on mobile. Half their things doesn't work on mobile.
I will highly suggest you not to link your discord with other applications/websites for login credentials, especially if you plan to use the application from mobile.
Even with your discord app installed and active, those other applications will keep asking you to login to discord from your web browser! Then discord will ask you to verify your location from your email and reenter your login credentials once again! After all these things, it will still have the audacity to ask you are you a human and will harass you even further.

I have been using discord since 2020 and the amount of times they have locked up my account is unbelievable. My account got locked in 2021 as they thought I was a bot. Overall, great app. But i tried to open it this morning but its asking me to login and so i thought, “Oh, its probably just a glitch. I’ll just type in my details and everything will be fine.”
But when i typed in my gmail, it said “Your account is disabled.”

I have received notification regarding changes to my account I haven’t requested
And have been receiving messages from users neither in any of my servers or from my friend group. I recently received a friend request from my own account which I don’t think is possible unless my account has been tampered with. I have changed my password three times since this event and have seen no change. This was not expected of such a usually good app and has disappointed me very much how easily a persons account can be accessed by a third party. I hope to see a solution to this issue as soon as possible.
A discord user by the name of hacker2.0 could also monitor my activity while neither being my friend nor having any previous chat history with him.
I hope users such as them get investigated before more innocent people like me lose their accounts
Issues with split screen on iPad

While the app by itself is well designed and helps to connect with people, for the past few weeks, on iPad I’m not able to use it on modes except full screen mode. When I open it in split screen mode or on the hover mode, only the member list and channel list are displayed and the chat isn’t visible at all. This obviously impacts the extent of multi tasking one can do with this app. So please rectify this soon

This app is like god like! Frickin amazing , I have a small issue but I couldn’t make myself to give it a 4* rating. The issue is sometimes the app suddenly crashes when me playing bots like myuu and dank memer very fast but still not that frequent :). Also I am a app/game critic so if me saying this apps good, this appp isssssssss amazinggggggg!!

I have been trying to verify myself. I have done all the steps but now I have doing this verification process for 3-4 hours. It says that a email will come to do . I have not received it at all. I have even used the resend option multiple times. I have given the correct email ID and am still not able to receive the verification email at all. I tried so many times now. I will still try but I will not change this rating until I have managed to receive I have verified my account.

Anytime i try to upload a file it says that the file size is too big and that is a big problem because my friends and i are constantly sending photos to each other.

If you upload anything not matter how small the file, when you try to send message, a pop-up will remind you about higher file size limit with nitro removing any text you had added as description for the image or file.. and you have to type that all over again!
This occurs over 20times a day for me, it would be fine if this pop up was a one time thing but it constantly shows up… on my server we share screenshots to discuss strategies, meaning every-time we add a long description which has to be typed all over again… needs a fix asap
what I am doing currently is sharing an individual image and pasting the description from a another app right after, which is very frustrating.

Few bugs on desktop like the window is randomly hidden when you want to use it. It will simply not show up.
Audio also hangs up and i need to restart discord. Noise cancellation tools make things worst some times but nothing major on mobile version.

Hi discord devs, i have been using discord from a long time on windows and have been a fan since, I just want to point out that on iOS, the call disconnects very frequently on both my iPhone 11s, so maybe it’s a device specific issue. I just want discord devs to patch this issue as it is quite annoying getting disconnected frequently.

This is a great app and i have been using for a long time. But one day when i started up discord the typing on my phone got all laggy and took a lot of time to register the letter i was typing. Sooo....discord has been blowing up recently because of the huge gaming community, we can chat, vc, or even vid call. Every gamers use discord as it has many types of game settings and it doesnt give any fps lag to us. It has many types of features. We can control our server in our own ways! But the reason I gave a 4 star is because admins and mods should have a proper verification for banning or kicking somebody because they abuse their powers and ban us or kicks us for some childish reason. So I hope u will take my review as a useful one. I would like it soo much if u could add any type of verification for that. It is such a huge community and would be even better with that. Thx

Discord is truly the best messaging app, I love the fact how you can make gaming/school clubs/servers! Set permissions, create roles, make discord bots, add bots to a server e.t.c. Discord is by far and should be the top messaging application. The only problem is that, I wish creating permissions would be a lot more simple for beginners to learn. I have been using discord for a few years now but I still haven’t been able to set permissions. I have not deducted a star because all the other features of discord combined easily overrules this problem for me. But I still hope in the future there is an easier way to set perms. Overall again, great app! 😁🥰😀

So since a few weeks, everybody’s voice in discord has been super laggy for me but my voice to them is just fine. I checked and it’s not connected with my download speed and when I call them their voice are just fine but it’s in the voice channels, and when I start my VPN, the voice become good as well. I saw some more complaints like this and hope the people at discord fix them because it’s quite annoying. Otherwise the app is very good and it’s a 5 star if not for the little glitches. It’s been very helpful to me and my friends, we have used it for a whole year now and I have to say it’s very diverse than other apps like WhatsApp, you have the ability to add the bots for games and moderation too which is very brilliant. Thank You!

This app is amazing and everything someone needs for communication but somewhere around the second week of November, it stopped sending any sort of messages. By any sort I’m talking them pictures, links, etc and more. It’s always sayin’ stuff like ‘ Failed to Send message’ and the thought occurred that it might be my net but it’s not because it was happening to my discord peers aswell. So I had to chat by changing statuses ( Ikr) which was really inconvenient. And mind you, it happens only at sun set and it’s not wifi for sure ‘cause if it were, it wouldn’t be happening to all my 67 friends. Please fix this issue. It’s very bothersome.

It has a lot of advanced features and simple features, botsare far more simpler to add, but may be a little complex, at least they work with ease, but what i like the most is skype can prove heavy for simple messaging, where discord is light though i throw how much i do, but last but not least, where skype could prove better, skype is far simpler polls, simpler to quote messages etc. So i would say that if you are going for gaming servers, fan vlubs, etc. Where skype is good for simple family and friends messaging etc

So idk why this is happening but when i try to send a photo to someone it just doesnt show any photos..and when i click on view more option the whole screen goes blank and then i have to open discord again..and when i try to change my profile picture it goes blank as well..and i also made sure i clicked on allow when they asked me to give perms to access photos..and i checked if my account is blocked or something by trying it with another account..it still doesnt work..i hope this is a bug and they fix it as soon as possible..other than the photo problems the app is amazing

Discord is a really good app. While most people use it to communicate with each other for games and such, it can even be used for school competitions and such. But the reason I have given 4 stars is because the moderation is very cringe worthy as most moderators abuse their power, or use it for very small reasons even though this app is 12+. There should be valid reasons and proof for bots to ban people from discord servers, and a strike system should be used instead. I feel that this app should really change its moderation and make it fair for a 12+ app, it just doesn’t seem mature or compulsory, and it is very abusable. That is my review, and this is just my opinion. Someone else might say the moderation is good or outstanding but I don’t think it is. Anyways I hope you found this helpful.

I can’t hear nor others can hear me in vc they hear a static sound or something, a lot of predators so the children who are using the app that are under 12 don’t go somewhere and get...yea so you get it, but the importance is actually they don’t go outside to meet a predators and get the “Coronavirus” so this is what I want improvement in but the app is incredibly beautiful in its own way.

This app is really very helpful and useful. There are so many servers u can join and have fun, so many different roles with different colours,and so many bots in servers where they do work and it’s so fun. It’s not just a chatting app like many think. It has so many more features , especially for games, and it’s so nice and fun that you can’t understand how awesome this app is unless you download and check it out. Yes, discord will be a little hard to u understand 2-3 days after u download it, but in a few days you’ll get the hang of it.....I would recommend everyone to download it, especially gamers!!!

I love discord and apart from a few tiny bugs it’s fantastic! The biggest problem for me is that I keep discord running in the background a lot and open through tapping on notifications. However, around the third time I do this, Discord goes weird. The space where the keyboard is (this glitch only happens on my iPhone) becomes empty and takes up half the screen, and whenever I try to send a message it doesn’t work. It’s great that you keep adding new features, but you should fix the old ones too.
Side note: could you add live streaming to mobile devices? I’d like to stream the games I have that are only available on phone. Thanks!

Overall, the app is good. Superb sound quality & simple UI. The only issue that I while playing pubg mobile was that you can’t differentiate the sound coming from the left and right anymore when connected to voice on discord.

Edit: To make it clear - the problem with this app is you need to switch to Google Authenticator app during the login flow to get the 2FA token. However when you switch to Google Authenticator and then come back to this app, it resets you back to the first step of the login flow instead of staying at the 2FA prompt and you have to restart the whole thing from scratch including the CAPTCHA. The only way to login with 2FA on this app is to read the 2FA token from Google Authenticator first and then start login OR have the 2FA app on another device and read the token from there. This is the only app which I have on iOS that does this.

So I’m an avid gamer n used to be on line for a long time and have used discord as well but 1 huge difference I find is I have in all notifications settings marked all messages but my cell still doesn’t buzz at every message and the notifications are much slower then line. I love the tools and UI of discord but pls find a solution to ur notifications settings. My whole alliance is complaining bout it and wants to move back to Line just because we have reduced our chats by 90% due to notifications. If there exists a solution which I have overlooked do let me know or pls solve this problem.
