Why do i need to give location permission to use the app? Are you kidding that it is to check if connected to unsecure wifi network? I am not using wifi, I am on cellular data, then also why it is required? Please apply some brain and stop that annoying pop up. Immediately on downloading, realised that it is useless for me! The app would not let me use it without Location permission and I’m not giving it.
There are so many banking and finance App which I have been using for years, but this kind of forced permissions are unseen. Does SBI wish to tell it’s customers that RBI has made some different rules for them or the developers are double crossing the incompetent management of SBI by data mining for others?

I have been using SBI card even before the app was there. Was quite happy that app provide liberty to choose various limits, see transactions and many other functions. However when I opened app last time, it requested location in the name of securing wi fi connection! Although there may be legal requirements of doing so but the developers should have flagged a convincing reason. Just imagine a person using his mobile data for logging and this lame excuse pop up, which is mandatory. In fact I am thinking of discontinuing the card then subject me to more privacy intrusion.

Entire SBI CARD APP AND SOFTWARE IS FULL OF BUGS and REQUIRES PROPER TESTING. IT DOES NOT EVEN CHECK FOR CONSUMER STATUS BEFORE PROCESSING ANY REQUEST. EX. if i have to convert EMI of total DUE amount, it directly process that and levied all charges for that ,later customer care person who is totally illiterate about system tells us your bill was generated and you are auto debit customer so all amount will get debited irrespective of what system done already. Means No one knows what will happen. System must have checked wether auto debit is active for this customer before taking and processing request. Needs to fix all bugs also needs recruit educated and qualified persons for customer support as this is banking institution not mobile company customer care. Not even single star for this app/software .but there is no option for zero star

Update: SBI card developer gives standard response about “regulatory guidelines” without specifying source and specific reference. Clearly shows illegal activity of tracking and violating individual privacy. They do not have the courage to name which regulatory authority and what guidelines.
Fraudulently blocking customers from accessing their card info on the app without granting them GPS location. Multiple feedbacks have not resulted in clear sharing of the government guideline which necessitates this. When ICICI and other banks do not ask for it, either they are violating government guideline or SBI cards are. Request everyone using SBI cards to immediately delete their app and rate them 1 star across all platforms. Only when were customers stand together and with each other, can we take on the frivolous and illegal whims and fancies of such companies. 🙏🏻

Why in the world is location permission mandatory?!

I’ve been using the SBI Card for quite sometime now, and it was working well. However, the latest update to Version 7.4.7 has made it so I’m unable to even log in to the app without giving it location permission, for the reason of the app “protect against unsecured Wi-Fi connections”. There is no option to cancel the said “suggestion” from the app and continue. It just doesn’t log in if you cancel the same, and only allows you to continue to log in after you’ve given it location permission by going to settings. This is just not done! Developer, I hope this is a mistake and would be rectified at the earliest. There is no reason location permission should be mandatory for the functional aspect of the app! And please don’t tell me it is a regulatory requirement when it most definitely is NOT! There is absolutely no such requirement from the regulators; and if your response still contains reference to the same, it makes it extremely clear that you do not even read the entire review before you respond! And if you do read the entire review, kindly quote the regulatory circular number including the section, subsection and date of circular for all to see!

Layout is bad and customer unfriendly

Layout was changed and finding one required is difficult. If I want to write a mail after login I have to exit to find mail in first page. If Face ID is enabled one has to do circus to stop login and press mail icon. Once icon is pressed it asks for login and so I don’t find any reason to keep this icon in ore login page. So working on this new layout is cumbersome and unfriendly.
The SBI server is very bad and often getting error message can’t be connected to server try afterwards.
It used to be seamless to work on previous platform but not this. I tried to do BT on emi, it goes through the process, I got confirmation mail with emi schedule but next day the amount is returned to SBI card account and reason is unknown. Then I did BT with EMI calling to call centre but result is same, no transfer. In this process I missed deadline of other credit card and heavy finance charges for late payment too.
Finally it’s a bad experience on new app layout.
Needs urgent upgrade.

Stop asking for location

We will not give up our privacy, let us use the app without location. It goes against Apple privacy guidelines. As you mentioned regulatory guidelines, I want that circular from Ministry of Finance or RBI. If you can provide anything then I don’t mind. We are smart enough to only use secured WiFi networks. We don’t need your help, This App has been reported for Apple’s privacy violations. We will not sign-in until the issue has been resolved. Until then only website will be used. And if you implement such thing on website too, we will close the account and do our business with other banks.

I am using SBI credit card and app for more than 10yrs. Now the recent update is asking my GPS location to login the app, which is not acceptable. App is meant for providing support and details of my dues and limit etc and I don’t think it requires my GPS location and access my personal details. Even my Bank has given me option whether I want to provide them my GPS location or not. But in recent update in your app, asking me to allow GPS location to login in the app and it is not allowing me to logged in. It’s really pathetic.

I have been a user of SBI card app since 5 years and I can say old version was way better than the new one. Though not rich in features but it was accurate. New version even with new features is not accurate and customer care is not ready to accept when reported. I request either to look into the gaps of new version or roll back to a previous version. Rolling back to a previous version will be a better prospect if you are to take my opinion.

SBI Card application is by far the best according to my knowledge. But reward points redemption is aweful. That being said I would like to suggest-
1) Reward points redemption page takes you to another site. I think the shopping page should be integrated into the application itself.
2) After successful transaction, the site always crashes and takes you to the starting page where you have to log in again. That means the transaction is cancelled and you have to try again. This is really inconvenient. Try to fix it *PLEASE*.

You have to wait 2 days to check if you have received a cashback or not, and that too not at the transaction level. E-commerce transactions done on e-commerce websites are classified differently as per MCC several days later at which time you realise that no cashback has been credited and you cannot cancel the transaction either.
In an age of information, the app surprisingly is bad at providing it in a transparent manner and seems to benefit themselves through opaqueness.
Support is an endless nightmare where same irrelevant replies are repeated at every level of escalation and only in some cases proper resolution is provided.

The SBI Cards app is incredibly frustrating due to its consistent login issues. I've tried numerous times to access my account, but it repeatedly fails to let me in. It's not just a one-time problem; this app consistently disappoints when it comes to user access. The error messages are unhelpful, and customer support doesn't seem to have a solution. This lack of reliability in such a crucial financial app is extremely inconvenient and makes managing my credit card a hassle. UPI - Only QR and We have to scan the QR. How come we scan from our own phone..! Are they thinking everyone carries another phone or laptop everytime..! Even if we take screenshot and try to pay. UPI apps restrict the amount to 2k. Either the architect who designed it don’t know this..!
One more disgusting thing - if you pay more than 25k. It will be declined at the time of payment but however now it will be declined and your money will get debited from account and credited to card after two days..! Even though you raise complaint no one responds to revert it back..!

It has been more than 6 months I have been following with this team to update my phone number but this management care nothing about its customers. They are asking me to send fresh copy of my documents every time. They are not accepting the photo copy I don’t know how to take the photo copy… they are coping and pasting same emails to me every time.. I have been crying with them this is how the photo copy machine is giving me still they are not finding other way to help me but still sending same copy paste emails…. Emailed their nodal officer their team is more useless.
My issue is I have lost my registered phone numbers now I am not able to login my online account and app also there is no way to call their ass@@l customer service team. Due to this issue first time ever I missed my card payment and got a big hit on my credit score and they charged me late fee..

The promise made during the purchase of the app is not fulfilled… they dont tell u all the deductible during the purchase!! When comes to rewards point its worst!! I had converted my rewards to landmark two months back and still its not showing up in the landmark point! Very disappointing service. I wouldn’t even give 1 star. My due date was 28 may and on that day I paid some amount of my bill and was going to pay the remaining amount by EMIs. So when I tried to convert to EMIs…it gives a long process, have to send request for that and I got a msg that it will take 5 days to process. Why can’t I pay the EMIs in secs like any other credit cards, why making it so complicated or u guys are waiting for crossing the due date to charge interest again. The next day I talk to the customer care and they told me to wait till 31st of May as my maximum due date is 31st . Now my problem isn’t even solve but I got a mail asking for feedback regarding my request no. Kindly please solve this.

Hi Developer team I am currently using 2 cards and both are mapped under my account. I can see both the cards in the drop down menu for card selection but when I switch over the card from the 1st to 2nd the app is showing some loading symbol for long time and app gets restarted. SBI card and this app is quite useful. But I want to suggest one thing. SBI cards should remind about payment before last date of payment atleast 2-3 times. It is quite difficult now these days to keep in mind all payment dates like mobile bills, electricity bill s, gas bills and other so on. Many times I have paid delay charges unnecessarily for a petty amount. It looks like these Establishments are more interested in extracting delayed charges rather than giving good service. Thanks

Alert!! Please be alert that don't use select all option in flexi pay to book your emi through sbi app. coz already billed amount in the previous month is inserting to the new month flexi pay booking. Eg: If ure billing date is 18th or 21st of every month please make sure to select the flexi pay booking amount starting from 18th or 21st, not before. If u scroll out ure spend amount from flexi pay through sbi card app we will notice before 18th or 21 st previous amount showing that already billed or we paid. Cheating to all sbi credit card users. Mailed to authorities but they are not responding.

1st of all , On issuing the Card they mentioned wrong email details
I am not able to use the card even single day , after that only 1 page is displayed in app after login that is payment details .
I am totally helpless , i complained many times but no one listen . They have no customer support, they think customers are nothing after selling the card.
I Request all of you , i paid irrelevant charges for card even i dont use the same this is how they cheat with customer in name of credit card.
I m facing this much issue & i recommend all please beware.

I got a telemarketing call from the SBI Card team and that lady did a mis selling stating it’s a lifetime free credit card. She took my details over a WhatsApp even though I asked her for the official mail ID. She took the most irritating follow up until I give her documents. She generated my form by creating my fake mail ID and granted the access to all forms and then again changed my mail ID. When I got the statement for the first month, I have been charged with the AMC of 3.5K with GST. I tried highlighting the issue to nodal office but she also did not help me. SBI card is scam and beware before you activate the card as it’s not free at all!

Suppose my credit credit in my card is exhausted and I want to make further payments via my card, even if I make payment in my card account with the amount, it doesn’t allow me to make the transaction inspite of available credit balance. Error: transaction limit exceeded for the billing cycle. It does not let me enhance the limit beyond my credit limit . The transaction limit in other Bank cards are for restricting value of one transaction or per day transaction. Please try to rectify this else we are unable to make proper use of this card

This app amd simplysave card is complete rubbish. I got this because of its benefits but This just increased my stress. Every time they just put fine without valid reason and then just blame thier automated system. Firstly i paid my bill online and they putt fine of 500 saying that it was auto debt . In recent month they sent message of insufficient balance and fine of 1000 above. Whats the point of saying insufficient when i have double of my bill deposited in my account????
Its just a scam …. Please prefer something else. As my experience with them is just worst….

Dear SBI Team, I have an issue with Current usage billing cycle limit. I set max limit to usage limit for billing cycle. October 7th i tried a transaction but app denied the transaction saying that usage limit for billing cycle reached. But I have 19k available credit limit. The available limit is due refund of earlier transaction. So currently I’m not able to use that limit due the flaw in App for this scenario. Solution is whenever the refund amount credited in current billing cycle, usage limit should be updated or decremented that much amount. On creating another level of security accessing to the application, would help a great deal against fraudulent “Modus Operandi” person. So far the app is good. But if you want to delete or de register any credit card from the app then it’s not possible.
I recently canceled my credit add-on card. But it’s still showing in the app. Every time, I have to select my active credit card from the option above to see the usage of the active card.
Costomer care says, you will see your old card details until it’s validity gets over. i. e. At least 5 yrs. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hi guys kindly beware of the Sbi cards scammers they are scamming people in a very organised manner first of all they will offer you a card of very high credit limit and then will ask you to upgrade your card with a very high annual charges. I was ready to give that also but when I received the card my credit limit was so low I didn’t use the card and asked them to cancel it but it feels like no customer care executives even care and on top of that they sent me the annual charges and asking me to pay I’m already using Icici, HDFC, and IndusInd cards everything is going smooth but these Sbi card trying to bluff people and on top of that right now I call the customer care again I felt like she was sleeping she just hung up on me . Very bad experience I must say with Sbi cards

The card made me very sad. I did the pendant from credit but in spite of that they took the payment from my account also. When I called their admin team about this on their customer care number, at first they did not call on this fake number, when the call was made on July 4 at 5.22, I spoke to some Mr. Vikram who turned out to be a very bad person and he He abused me and behaved in a very conditional manner. After that they blocked my number. I have made many messages and calls but no one is ready to listen. Neither my payment came back nor did their reply come. I feel very cheated. I believed these thieves after seeing the logo of State Bank. Neither they are picking up the call nor are they answering the message. Not refunding the payment. Not closing my card. Can anyone tell what should I do.

I was fool by unknown person with SBI credit card. They were asked about my card details I too trust they are bank employees and I also shared the card details. My total card limit is stole by them. I have report this incident in local police station and cyber crime department in commissioner office. They are searching the thief’s. Definitely it will take time. So that I have decided to fix this issue and visit Chennai branch in Kandanchavadi. I have clearly explained about this issue and they too understood the criticality in this situation. I am not using any single amount in this card. Card vaangi 1 month laye Idhu madhiri aagiduchi. Feel very bad. Bank person never give up to give me a settlement amount. I applied for SBI SIMPLY CLICK card in the month of December. Somehow because of a mistake on executive’s end, They delivered Simply save card. As and when I received the card, I called up customer care executive team to cancel the card and requested to provide SIMPLY CLICK card. They have taken the request and processed the SIMPLY CLICK card as I didn’t make any transactions in the old card. Till here it is smooth.
But the problem here is, They charged joining fee on both cards. Why will I pay the joining fee for the card which I didn’t wished and cancelled. Then I spoke to executive, He told no need to pay charges for old card, just pay for new card only. But I when I pay joining fee for the NEW (CLICK) card, they marked it under OLD (SAVE) card.
It’s completely cheating. How can this be possible?
Worst part here is customer care team...!!! It’s very pathetic. They don’t even understand the queries (both technically and verbally) we raise, they just repeat what they planned for. I hold 6 major bank credit cards and never had a problem with any of the banks and customer care team. Everyone treats very politely even if they don’t have any problem from their end. I won’t recommend SBI card to anyone..!!

Since there’s renewal fees wave off depending upon the annual purchase, it would be cool to have this feature in the app that tells how much one has spent since last renewal and the upcoming date when renewal fees will be charged. So that if a person is not too far from the target, he could spend some more by that date and take benefits of the renewal fees wave off. Depending upon the card variant, this section could also show how much you have to spend in a year to get the benefit and how far one is right now. Like a progress bar.

Maybe they are trying to pretend themselves to be a good credit card company, they way of handling of customers even when the card is active or vice versa is ridiculous. They have hired collection executives or god knows may have given reaponsibilities to third parties which are is short ‘Third Class’. They lack communication among themselves and at the same time only know how to loot customers money without helping a customer genuinely. Even there are people who are from third parties and state themselves to be SBI cards people and if one talks to them it seems you are talking to a 8 class fail student. SBI cards... you have a long way to go to become actually a good servicer. Remember... a customer is a customer even after the card provided is inactive.

First of all..SBI is a very good card. The features & benefits are very good. I use an ELITE card and I get points for every milestone spends.
Coming to the app, most of the cards do not have an app. Sbi app males itvery easier to manage spends and rewards. The best part is payment of dues. We can directly pay our dues through the app and it gets instantly credited. Overall its a very good card and very good app. Its not a sarkari one!

It’s a very useful App. Of all the credit cards that I have used, SBI is the best! Also rewards offered are attractive, useful, up to date & value for money.
Only 2 suggestions I have;
1. Reward points redemption should be made more effective. Items on the App do not match with the SBIcard website. Website info is more up to date. Both should be in sync.
2. Payment process should be made more smoother, simpler & easier. The windows that open while making the payment are not iPhone / smartphone friendly. The screen sizes are that of a laptop / desktop screens & that makes it quite inconvenient.

A good concept which will let any of the card user do all those things which he wants to know either after login through sbi website or need to ask from customer care for any service requests including card upgradation, easy to convert all those transaction which you actually wants to convert on EMIs, card statements at any time, quickest to recieve your payment at the point you do the payment.
