Very confusing to exit out of your position
Not able to sell my holdings and exit. I’m stuck at the generate tpin and proceed to cdsl. Clicking the button just generates the pin with further instruction where to use it and no redirection

Worst trading app
The money will be deducted in the matter of seconds, but when you claim a withdraw from their app, they will take days or even weeks to give you your money back. This is total fraud and scam.

Don’t trust this broker
They deduct money & they won’t tells us for what reason they deducted. It’s hard to find the reason. After some hard effort you will find that your money was deducted for transaction charges even though you didn’t do any transactions. And one more thing they said, “according to your plan you are not charged for investing in ETFs”. Some months later app shows me brokerage charges for ETF investments. What is my situation If I was invested, I have to pay charges. They make false promises to attract more customers. So I am stopped using it.

Scrip details not visible requires repeat reinstalling of app
Since the latest Apple software update, this app has been lagging on the iPad. Scrip details are not visible at times once you logout or close the app; so you have to uninstall & reinstall the app multiple times in the day.
Today a new issue started where the ‘yearly-low’ stock price is showing in percentage and the ‘yearly-high’ is actually showing the LTP for the given stock. That’s incorrect data.
Please help fix this.

Worst experience a customer could have with any brand!
Hello team,
I decided to open an account yesterday with HDFC sky, but due to personal reasons I immediately closed that account. Now, a sales rep from your hdfc securities team, ahmedabad branch called me asking why I did that. When I said it was due to personal reasons, she started arguing with me that how can a customer immediately open and close an account and started to force me to try the app for 1 month. Is this what sales mean to you guys? Do you train your sales rep to argue with customers?? Isn’t it on a customer to decide when he wants to open and close an account(that’s why the account closing option is there on the app right??)
Do you even think I will even think of going for a hdfc savings account leave alone hdfc securities in the near future??
Like your sales rep was literally arguing with me to understand why I started opening an account and closing it immediately and her tone was also too high.
I don’t want to reveal any name nor I want to escalate this to any social media account. But I want an escalation to this.
I never ever expected something like this from a brand like HDFC which I had always hold in high ideal as a brand.
Please teach your sales team to value current and prospective customers equally.

Indicator saving issue
Hi Team,
This is my first review here. I tried thru apps feedback system for an issue but no solution has been provided yet.
The issue is regarding the saving customised indicators profile. There is no such option available. If I do the same by template saving for all indicators, they all gone away frequently and default volume indicator appears with DAY timeframe. Please look into this issue.

Every time chart is getting reset other brokers like angel one having better charts once applied with tools & indicators it gets saved automatically & becomes the layout by default. Even the timeframes & chart types like normal or heikin ashi or any other if added gets reset. Team please work on it

Worst trading app you will ever find. Very poor user interface. Very poorly designed and buggy app. It always keeps crashing. Scope for Improvement in Pricing, Insights & UI Experience
While HDFC SKY shows potential as an investment platform, there are several critical areas that need attention:
🔹 Pricing is on the higher side, especially when compared to newer competitors offering low or zero brokerage models. A more competitive fee structure would enhance its appeal significantly.
🔹 The UI is very basic and lacks intuitiveness. It feels outdated and does not offer the level of insight or interactivity that today’s investors expect.
🔹 A key gap is the absence of in-depth portfolio analysis. The app should provide insights like sector-wise allocation, exposure to small/mid/large-cap stocks, and risk categories. Currently, it offers little visibility into investment patterns.
🔹 In the portfolio screen, the placement of current value vs. invested value is confusing — a simple repositioning or better labeling would improve readability.
🔹 The app allows investment in international indices, but oddly, it doesn’t provide a way to view or track those indices.
🔹 For ETFs, while investment is enabled, it’s disappointing that users can’t see the underlying companies or index composition, which is essential for transparency.
✅ That said, the one strong point of the app is its Research Insights section, which is well-curated and genuinely helpful for both beginners and seasoned investors.

Few issues on UI
App has few problems on IPHONE. Example you try to place GTT order directly enter a quantity like 100 come out from box fill other entries once you apply the quantity always change to 1. Refresh with real time data or at startup shows outdated data.

The UI was better earlier. Now with new features addition, the elements are all disorganised and UI experience is bad. There are much better designed apps in the market. Even under the same house, the new Investright app is redesigned in a much better way than sky. Please improve the UI interface design which is the first layer of interaction any user will engage with.

Lot of battery draining and heating up.
Please fix the issue with phone heating up so bad while using the app that it starts hanging. Forget about using the app other than winter. P.S. it also heats up a lot in winter. Drains the battery so much that you have to keep your phone on charging while using the app. If you don’t open the app for few days, it won’t open on one go.

Third Class Customer Support
I have sent atleast 50 emails for not able to change linked Bank Account. Everytime auto generated reply comes and still not found the solution! On call also they give diplomatic answers and no proper solution.

This is the worst trading app I have ever used. Basic features like the IPO application simply don’t work. I honestly don’t understand the purpose of this app. When trying to reach customer support I was left on hold for over half an hour with no response. I also tried emailing but the issue got closed automatically without any updates. This level of frustration has made me decide to close my account. Absolutely disappointed.

Not so good app
This app solves the basic purpose of trading on daily basis but missing with some features , very basic user experience and sometimes data doesn’t show up properly. Suddenly your partial or entire portfolio of MG & shares gets disappeared for sometime. Not so user friendly as that of other hdfc securities apps. Need to work on experience and usability of app so everything works well. The stocks which are temporarily on hold for trading will not be shown in portfolio, usually it must remain visible in portfolio but disabled for trading (buy sell buttons disabled) and not completely hidden from portfolio makes user confused if he has it in portfolio or not

I think HDFC ki app h to achchi hogi, but it is one of the worst app, poor interfacing ,less efficient, price variation, showing everything zero after market time, withdrawal money is very difficult, after selling money in same app account after hours, withdrawal money is not credit in linked bank account even after 24 hrs. Allotment of IPO was not reflected even after deduction from ban account
Dear HDFC SKY team, let me get this into your notice, even having a big brand name and coffers of investment backing, hdfc sky is incapable of providing customer grievance on the spot to customer is such money and investment matters, there is no mode of communication. let me show you with proofs that i have invested into two lots of ARKADE IPO and money is deducted by upi app and bank too, but still that is not reflecting on your app. please go through screenshot and let me know who will be held responsible for this that even after deduction if the allotment status will be null and void in investor perspective.

Worst app if compared to groww
Even trainee engineer can build better ap than this. Literally i am doing everything in GROWW and then buying shares in HDFC SKY. watch list is limited, portfolio showing 0.00, when buy/sell stocks not updated on time, share prices chart shows 0.00 many times, chart takes too much time to display. I can't believe that biggest bank like HDFC can hire this kind of in competence developer team??? And new app like groww can hire good developers?? Something really HEFC management need to think upon.

No a User friendly app
1. The app says if you request withdrawal before 1 PM you get money same day that doesn’t happen.
2. The OTM options are not shown properly.
3. The watchlist is so bad that we can’t divide it according to our sectors and see those stock in that list, currently they are showing all stock in one page with some tags that may distinguish between the sectors. IT IS FRUSTRATING AND IRRITATING like how the biggest bank of india made a trading app so that is not user friendly.
4. The main screen or the landing page on app show watchlist of nifty 500 you cannot change again to any other list.

Technical Issues During Market hours
One of the worst Broker app ever, i have used other apps and confirm the same. I am facing technical issues since yesterday, on website and app both. Unable to access my holdings, unable to sell them as well.

Holding are not updating properly always., Bad experience of using this app till date.
I have been using HDFC sky for past few months. The holdings are not properly getting updated. It gets updated only after 9 AM morning. And my recent order which I made is not updated. How come we could trust this app., if it is not in realtime sync of our holdings.
I opted for this app as its HDFC one, but really bad experience till date. When it will get resolved? Any update on this would help.

Useless app
This app is just a waste of time. I opened account when we have to courier documents hard copy and then also other apps took 1 week to fully functional the account. In this app I am waiting from more than 2 weeks to get it activated. Moreover their representative calling to invest from past 1 week without knowing that app is not working. 1 more thing no use of this proving feedback or asking help from their representative because they are busy switching from 1 customer to other without resolving issues.

Cannot see Portfolio
No proper option available to get profit and loss report with expenses, expenses not showing in report
Poor app compared to other discount brokers, cannot do BTST, even T+1 share not appearing on the portfolio, After selling shares from T+2 , 80% fund for are not available immediately like other brokers offers , overall ok since linked to strong and wonderful service provider (Hdfc Bank)

HDFC tried something to compete other brokers but lacking in many things such as map, analysis, charts, transactions, showing profit/loss, deposit back funds etc. The most disappointing after using it or testing it for a month is I couldn’t really know what I am doing, where my orders are getting executed and all. I advised don’t use this apps for about a year until they come up with good API to support. Thanks!

Worst Demat application
This is the worst demat application I have experienced. I started this because it is link with India top private sector bank (HDFC). But features and everything are so irritating. You buy at different price but it will show you higher price. When you sell it should give 80% of fund instantly but no here we have to wait for more then 3 hours for that funds. In those 3 hours all your trading opportunity lost.
I expect they will improve the application and processes.

Good App, questionably practice
App is great, kudos to devs.
But when it comes to the general practice, I feel uncomfortable to use this app.
The moment I started sign up process, I got bombarded with their sales representatives to complete the process.
After I completed it, I submitted a bid for an ipo, and they called me back saying that you have submitted a bid, you need to accept mandate on your upi app.
I am just very cautious that they are tracking my every move, and that’s making me uncomfortable.
Also, they do tend to promote some IPOs then others, which is just not right.

App is not smooth
Although UI of the app is elegant the feel is not up to the mark. We feel heavy lifting while scrolling or navigating through the app. Its feels bulky. function wise everything is working as expected but it requires lot if optimisation in terms of feel. Its feel bit slow when we are using it. Hopefully this will be improved in further software updates.

Worst application
very useless application, no proper support, order execution not working properly, portfolio showing 0 invertment but i invested money in stocks, showing portfolio always in loss of lacs no matter it it is in profit. showing always negative in balance. i have waited withrwal process for almost 5 days. if order placed today morning 9.30 your order will be completed after next day of working. if you sell some stock and order is completed your portfolio still showing that stock untill next day. NO Proper management, customer support always saying just wait for 1,2 days your account process will b setteledon next working day.

Thank you for making this App and platform
I was a Zerodha user since long and was a bit sceptical on using SKY at first, but to my utter surprise HDFC SKY just SKY rocketed my experience of trading ! Thanks to the developers, product manager and HDFC securities for making this awesome platform ! Kudos to the DEV team 🫡

App requires improvement
There is a visible lag in the app. It needs to more fluid with every touch input. Also the fundamentals displayed for each shares needs to be more detail. I’m missing PE ratio, Industry PE, ROE,Price to Debt etc. These are basic fundamentals that are missing and very difficult to find.
Coming to watchlist , it needs to be improved to separate watchlist instead of tags. The app has potential to be good but not hitting the right spots on the basic feature and experience. Thought of moving to this platform but after looking under the hood , I have to hold on from doing it.

They don’t have p&l statement and absurd charges
In this app, there is so much lagging, I am not able to do option trading properly. The charges of this app is so much they are pretending to be discounted Broker. Moreover, I am not able to download PNL statement and not able to see their total brokerage, they have charge up until now. They are not transparent in their business. So please be careful while using this app.

DEFAULT ORDER SETTINGS ARE PUT OFF
FNO Orders are by default set for intraday resulting in wastage of time every time. And if in a hurry this is not corrected and trade is executed, there is no provision for converting intraday positions to delivery. Most other brokers provide this facility.
secondly, they have no tie up with Tradingview platform like most other discount brokers and this is a significant drawback as you will have to flip between the app and Tradingview in case you are an active fno trader.

Don’t risk your finances with this app
The app is very poor in performance, trades do not show up correctly. Sometimes same equities shows up in duplicates. Order places do not show up, and suddenly it went through. I have faced many time order went twice or missed leading to loss. The company need to be sued for their poor app. Hello have been using other platform at least the developer look at other leading app interface and learn, back end ledger update do not happen until very close to market opening next day. I need to close app and restart multiple times to see correct entries in equities. I will choose to close the account with HDFC if it don’t resolves soon.

Account not activated sine 7 days
When I open account through app they mentioned 1-2 days your account will be activated but after 8 days no communication and account also not activated. It’s shocking for me, it is original app or some fake app developed by hdfc… there is no way to connect with customer care. Never ever experienced such poor response from HDFC.

Learn from peers !!
Never expected that HDFC being such a big brand has invested very minuscule in the software. You should learn from your peers like Zerodha, upstox , Angelone. They have made so smooth that just one slide and you buy/sell.
Moreover cant even provide Dark Mode feature . Please dont come back saying we are still developing because boss you are already in market and should have done that before deployment.

many bugs in this app ZERO STAR
It has been a very bad experience with HDFC sky. If I want to write, I have a long list to go through.
Major three problems are written here
1, I got HDFC security holding transferred and my mutual funds are in that holding, I have been trying for so many days but they are not visible in the app.
2. The day my holding was transferred and the price of all the equity shares was transferred at that day's price, there is no option now that I can edit the price of my original share.
3. The value of the total investment I have made changes every day.

Improvements needed
There are lot of improvements needed , sometimes holdings appear at one place and vanishes from other.. no easy customer support access option (faq are very basic) .. many others too in UI .. creation of account was also not easy some weird errors appeared which delayed account opening

MARGIN NOT RELEASED AFTER SELLING
After selling the shares in MTF margin is not released even after 1 week. Don’t open in this App you cannot use your fund for Profit making.

Incomplete Information
There are lots of incomplete information, specially in company details, there are no shareholding details No technical details, No corporate actions. Lack of these information gives a vague idea about the company to be invested. It might be that the application is at launch level but lots of scope to be implemented before becoming a reliable investment application.

No auto debit option for SIP
There is no option for auto debit for sip the customer service people had prior confirmed that they have auto debit feature, but after opening my account there is none to be seen after having a call the customer service said they don’t have this feature available right now and now I have to deal with a whole lot procedure just to close my demat account

As written zero commission mutual funds in the description but i am not able to see the direct mutual funds investment are available. For that reason only i have opened account so that my all the investments are at one place. Disappointing😕
