Never trust for delivery
There is a hell lot of glitch in there system where it automatically shows the expected delivery time, where as the Delivery agent never received the parcel.
It’s a scam basically they do and deliver customer parcel on their own priority and wish.
Forget about any compensation as well.
I strongly recommend never order food from here when you don’t have time to give a second thought. Because you’ll regret and in emergency you don’t have any other option left to order if it’s night time.

This is the worst delivery app I have ever used having lived in many countries.
They artificially shorten displayed delivery times to receive orders and then take 3+ hours to deliver orders that were supposed to take 20 minutes. This happened so many times that I felt compelled to write this review.
On top of that the customer service is worse, they basically relay information that you already see on the app, wasting your time.

I am posting this review from Dubai, and I want to clearly highlight my very frustrating experience with this app.
I was charged AED 23 upfront when I booked a ride. I waited at the exact pickup location and even communicated clearly through the app. Despite that, the trip never started because the driver did not arrive, and the ride eventually got cancelled. After all this, my account suddenly showed a AED 13 cancellation fee, and the remaining amount from the original charge was not reflected anywhere.
This kind of experience makes the app feel unreliable and stressful, especially when customers are following every instruction correctly. The system should be able to recognize when the customer is not at fault. It’s extremely disappointing to lose money for a trip that never even happened.
Careem seriously needs to improve its driver monitoring, refund process, and cancellation logic, because customers should not be paying for situations they did not cause.
Right now, based on this experience, the app feels far from dependable, and I hope they fix these issues soon.

This is where things went from bad to worse. I went back to the app, hoping to remove my payment method until this issue was resolved — and to my shock, *there’s no option to remove your card*. Once your card is added to the Careem app, *you’re stuck with it*. You can’t delete it, you can’t unlink it — you’re basically at their mercy. This is a *huge security concern*.
What kind of app gives users *zero control* over their own financial details? I now feel completely unsafe using this platform. It feels like once they have your card details, they can charge you whenever they want, and customer support will do nothing about it.
To this moment, *there has been no resolution*, no refund, no apology — and my card remains at risk.
Careem’s E-Bike service is not just poorly managed — it is completely unprofessional, unreliable, and potentially fraudulent. If this happened to me, it can happen to anyone.
I strongly urge everyone: *do NOT use the Careem E-Bike service*. You will regret it. Their system is buggy, their support is unresponsive, and their policies are totally against the user. What should have been a quick ride turned into an ongoing financial issue that they refuse to resolve.

Double charge and no real help from support.
I had opted to pay through my Careem Wallet, but after completing the taxi ride, the driver mentioned he couldn’t end the trip due to an “unpaid amount.” Meanwhile, the meter kept running as I tried contacting the support centre. I stayed on the call for over 15 minutes, and by then, other cars were having trouble passing. The driver then asked me to pay by card, which I did — ending up paying more due to the continuously running meter.
Later, I realised I was also charged through my wallet. I tried to reconnect with support, but it seems you can’t call an hour after the ride ends. I followed up through messages, but instead of acknowledging or addressing the issue, I only received a generic response that was of no help. I posted another message over 24 hours ago, and it still hasn’t been acknowledged.

Careem pay is absolutely a fraud, initial few transfers were intact on time but my last transaction which is processed more than 10 days is yet not credited to my overseas bank. Status shows in process, multiple followup on chat and call has not sorted also, only an apology response. And yesterday they sent me a response asking for source of fund, which is after 10 days they know this is why fund is not credited. While after this is been sent also yet no feedback! Looks they run the business upholding customers money for business rotation.

My last ride is to Airport. They showed I already reached airport and charged me 25 AED. I am forced to pay and had to book again as my flight is soon. If you are booking through Careem app to airport. Make sure you have time for flight so you will have breathing space if you have to download another app and book. I have been using Careem for the past 3 years. Recently, I have noticed very poor communication from drivers, and many of them cancel rides without informing me. Despite this, I am charged a penalty of AED 12. On the other hand, when the driver is late and I need to cancel the ride, the penalty is still imposed on me.
Today, I booked a ride that initially showed 3 minutes of arrival time, which later changed to 5 minutes. Even after that, the driver’s car did not move. I had no choice but to cancel and book another ride, but again I was charged a penalty of AED 12. This delay also caused me to be late for office.
Because of these repeated issues, I have decided to uninstall the Careem app today

The new app is terrible. It charges customers upfront before booking, which is unfair, and then fails to deliver basic service. It can’t find nearby captains, constantly shows wrong locations, and gives inaccurate timings—5 minutes suddenly changing to 25. Worst and expensive cab service
Careem is worst and quite expensive in KSA, and the fares often change automatically, leaving you surprised by the final amount when you reach your destination. I used to be a frequent user, but after comparing prices with Uber, I have been saving around 30–40 SAR per day.
As for their customer support, it’s quite disappointing. They don’t entertain the refund requests, even when the charges are due to system errors during peak times, accidental deductions and cancellation fees.

Delayed service, no accountability
I ordered shawarma chicken rice at 10:00 pm and till 11:40 pm I could not receive the order. On calling the captain Mr Renju I was surprised to know that he has no idea that he has to deliver the order. When I called the Careem help only answer I got was that they are apologising.. in the middle of the night you are left with no food after a wait time of 1hour 40 mins. Thai is the reason everyone had always advised me not to rely on Careem for food. Thanks for such a professional act.

a serious concern regarding a recent transaction made through your platform. I transferred money which was marked as “delivered” in the app, but the beneficiary never received the funds. Upon raising a complaint, I received a message stating that a refund would be processed. Very unhappy
I just came back from dubai, this was my 4th time in dubai. First time i had a bad experience, with one of the drivers. My family with 2 kids were travelling on lexus car, the driver was very rude, my son who is aged 1year, was making noise, and kicking legs, the driver were rudely told u tied ur son and keep him shut, otherwise i wl drop you here and u can book another cab. I told him are you gone mad, he is a 1yr old kid, what do u expect. Even i told i wl call the police. He said call the police, then he took tool the side and told us to get down. He even took money from me. I call careem and complained, i was told i wld receive a refund, i havnt. Refund is not important, he should be punished for insulting me and my family.

Not at all happy
I stay in India came to Dubai for vacation, the app deduct the money from ur account before ride (which is more than ur ride payment) and after ride it will give you the refund which shows in 7 days, in ur account .
It’s been more than 7 days for me and yet I didn’t got my refund even drivers are very rude like when second time I booked a cab the driver lie that in his app it shows booking got cancelled my me and when I book another cab the driver said his car is not working but the app already deducted the amount for that ride. It’s ridiculous

Send Money to India
I had send money to India with same or better than google rate at the time and without any fees or hidden charges. The process was transparent, efficient and lightning fast. Now it has become my go to online exchange for sending money back home. Good Job Careem!

Looting money
I recommend never to order taxi from this app. Their driving partner charged more money from me than it shown on the app. I was rushing to the airport, so i said i will pay by card but the driver added 10aed more than the actual charge, since i was in a rush and hurry (microsoft software problems as well) i couldn’t check the amount added by the driver also i trusted the this app their driving partner. Later when i checked bank transaction the driver charged more 10aed. I raised complaint to the consumer care section, they said you should be more aware. Thats it, no action, no refunds, no sorry nothing. Very very bad experience. I would never recommend this app, just get put to the road and get a taxi.

Careem rides are not reliable
Booked a Careem ride, it was accepted & was showing 3 minutes arrival time. However, arrival time remained the same for a long time. Subsequently the driver started messaging to say that he cannot come. He was asking me to cancel the ride. I said I will wait & waited more than 30 minutes in the heat. Finally my ride was automatically cancelled & I had to rush since I was already very late. Careem rides are not reliable at all. Start your trip one hour earlier if you are traveling by Careem.

Slow, app has technical glitches, no proper response
My experience with Careem is pathetic. As soon as I collect luggage in the airport I book for the taxi using Careem. Amount deducted and captain confirmed in less than a minute, I was happy. The captain cancelled the ride within no time, app started looking for next captain, I was patient enough to find another vehicle, it’s been more than 5 minutes no captain accepting my ride. It’s hot summer and I was waiting at Terminal 1 outside. I had no clue whether this booking successful or fail. Then I choose cancel ride option on the screen, there is no movement, I hit cancel multiple times, absolutely no response by the app. I was completely clue less what’s happening. I had no hopes on next booking, hence I forcefully close the app and open to double confirm if closed properly or not, I no longer see the app still looking for next captain. With that confirmation I go ahead and book my ride with competitor app, again money deducted I got the confirmation of driver immediately. In the same minute surprisingly from nowhere I got another message from Careem captain that I am waiting for you. This was not expected ideally Careem app first captain cancelled, no driver found for 5+ minutes, then app had glitches, app completely closed and opened to verify there’s no active booking. I had no option I have to cancel one ride, I choose to cancel Careem ride, I have been charged AED 40, I thought it may be process I will get refund. When I reported this incident to customer service they declined to refund the money stating I have cancelled the ride after captain reach the pickup location. She was not willing to accept what I have went through. It is so disappointing. I have never used Careem app for any of my upcoming bookings. I always go with their competitor apps.

Very pathetic Service
I had ordered to Babaram Resturant by 7.30 am, the order was accepted, payment was done, Rider was assigned. Till 9pm the order was not delivered. When I saw the order was cancelled automatically. After calling the restaurant I got to know that the rider informed that order was cancelled by me, which wasn’t true. I called customer service three times and they assured that order will be delivered. I was asked to placed second order by customer care but still even after the food the ready by the restaurant the order wasn’t delivered. I don’t even want to give one star, but unfortunately I can’t give my review unless I choose one star.. Careem is just a name no professional team to deliver food, specially when people are hungry. They should learn to make a proper protocol to deny the order or display on app that delivery is not possible. Multiple riders were assigned and my delivery time got changed from 8.30am to 10pm. Then customer service calls and apologizes for the inconvenience caused, and rider can’t deliver.. I guess we have better companies in the market like Talabat and book who have professional team to work. I will cancel my Careem plus subscription immediately and advise the same to others. This is again after last complain, it’s just two days that I closed the complain on apologies of Careem customer care without sharing any action taken. This time agin absolutely same issue.. if Careem can’t handle riders and thier technical issues then there is a real concern. I wonder it’s some kind of money scam that Careem is doing with customers by accepting payments and then reverting it in wallet.. And same time it can’t be used as they won’t deliver us.. legal action is required.

Terrible Customer service Executive Ms Almas.
We were supposed to receive order at 10:50pm. At 10:46pm since the app still showed restaurant is still preparing.. we called the rider.. who claimed that he had just picked up the order after which I called the restaurant asking about the delay.. the restaurant says the order was prepared 20 mins prior to 10:46 and that the rider had not reached the restaurant.. no idea who was right! To report about this confusion I called the Customer Care and someone named Almas responds like an AI or reading out from a word document about how she can assist..! Her standard response “ I can understand. I will follow up with rider” I can understand, if there is quality issue call us back and we will rectify” when asked how she can rectify when I receive the order late and cold. her response “ I can understand Ma’am you are hungry but I cannot commit on how I can rectify!!!!” When asked to escalate to her manager, I was told there will be a call back arranged. What a waste of service, especially when they charge us.

Customer care is really bad in case the order goes wrong, missing or messy.
Careem needs improve on customer case service in case of any things goes wrong. The process of reporting it and looking up for reply is inconvenient and not conclusive.
An App cannot sustain for long based on bad service quality.
Also the nickname asked at the end of the review doesn’t help since most of the names are taken.

Captain dont follow map & Customer support is utmost unprofessional and unethical
I recently had a disappointing experience with the Careem application. Despite providing the proper location, the driver consistently dropped me off at the wrong location. When I raised a complaint with their customer service team, I encountered utmost unprofessionalism. They remained silent when I asked for follow-up, leaving me frustrated and without resolution. The lack of accountability and poor communication from the customer service team reflects poorly on the overall reliability and effectiveness of the Careem application.

Quick and efficient
We used Careem for all our local travel needs in Dubai recently. The experience was impressive starting from the ease of using the app, very friendly and professional drivers to the quick arrival of the cars. All the cars were very clean and comfortable. It is certainly pricey than the regular taxis but the efficiency and saving of time are certainly great points in favor of Careem.

Bad customer service. More money centric than customer
I first used Careem on my visit to Dubai and learnt about Careem that once any user come to a point when they need customer support, Careem always turns deaf ears. In my wife’s account, a driver crossed us without stopping to pick, I waited for a while after which had to cancel. I was charged cancellation fee of about 15 AED. They were very resistive in admitting. I had to keep writing to them and after lot of effort this was reversed. Now, in another account, since I am new I didn’t know i would be charged for CareemPlus automatically after trial. When I got a debit msg from my credit card company, I immediately reached out to customer support requesting to reverse and cancel. No points to guess, they refused. I have had a similar scenario wherein the transaction was reversed when I reached out to concerned person within reasonable time.

Hala ride not able to change starting point
I have to book for my family at different location for a ride. But when I select it always takes the current location as starting point , that’s correct but should have provision to change the starting point if I am booking for someone else. Is there an option already ?

Excellent Delivery but malfunctioning app
Its so nice that each and every time the people deliver the food, parcel, as well as taxi services are exceptionally good. Its just so the app is not made for an iPhone user. After food ordering food you cannot see your amount to be paid under payment summary. It shows the same same food order twice at home screen. The developers should buy some latest iPhones for them and use the app on it.

Extra charged - Zero Customer Support
The Customer Support is non-existent at Careem. I had raised an Extra Charge collected complaint three days ago using the Report a Problem option in the App. Got an automated mailer and no response after that in-spite of raising the same complaint via various options given. Seems that Careem has built a beautiful digital brick-wall through which no customer can get through for any help. Disappointed to see such poor customer service from reputed brands.

Appalling service !!!
A call back was arranged by Ali Abbas (supervisor for Hala Care team) for my issue regarding careem plus subscription and transactions. it’s been good 3 days that m waiting for a call back from this gentleman, despite of calling these 3 days consecutively for any supervisor to resolve my issue but every time i call there is no supervisor on shift or somebody will call in 15 minz. Neither of this happens.
I’m sorry to say this but using careem has been a very terrible mistake, as they can change your subscription plan during an on going subscription without even letting you know which is unacceptable.
Advisors from careem team doesn’t know how to talk in English at all. No call openings, no hold verbiage, no listening without interruption, no sympathy, no empathy, no first point of contact resolution.

Please don’t use this app
During my trip to Dubai I took a ride and fare showed aed 21, but after ride the fare went up to aed 50, and I told captain about the issue and he started behaving arrogantly that I should pay full price. I called support and they said I pay cash to driver and I will be compensated later. After following up for a week it’s of no use and now they tell me driver didn’t take cash and they “waived off” the amount. It’s ridiculous. Very bad customer service, don’t use this app.

I ordered grocery delivery from al Adil store.
After some time I received a call which the caller hanged on as I started talking
When I tried to call there call was accepted and no one talked and hanged on after sometime
Later I received my incomplete grocery order and was charged fully for the order
On calling customer care they said they called me to modify the order as some items were not available which I have mentioned above what they did they were calling just to prove they called no one was answering
And they put my balance in their wallet in app refused to refund to card
Also there was 25 aed discount which also they refused to credit or refund back

Irresponsible Behavior
Order the food and waited for almost 2 hours. Contacted the careem and customer care representative told order already picked. Status in app is still processing. After some time status changed to Cancelled. Customer care representative response was that he cannot do anything for this order. The time i spent was waste and the Careem systems is totally a waste. Representative cheated me passing me the wrong information. This is worst experience i ever had

Poor navigation
Careem cabs are really good competition for Uber in Qatar, however they need to fix following issues. 1. Poor GPS: navigation system used is very pathetic, many times it takes longer route to reach the pickup point or drop location 2. Drivers: I have experienced that most of the times careem drivers will cancel the booking at the last minute and I have reported this to careem support, but no use. We have to wait for another 10 -15 for another cab from same operator. 3. If you cancel because driver didn’t turn up, then you will have to pay the cancellation charges.

Pathetic app accuracy and pathetic service
I’ve been wrongly charged two times once because after paying it didn’t reflect it their system hence they negated my wallet balance next time I paid cash but that isn’t reflected too. For same payment I did twice but that ticket isn’t resolved from careem’s end
Second, the driver was at completely wrong location and I cancelled and again they deducted money out of my wallet
Generally you’ll see the cab never arrives at the location you are standing and their card machine is often down leaving passengers to wait endlessly

No value of customer
I will ensure will never use this app in my life. I have been blamed that i have not paid for ride, though i have paid the money. I have noticed negative balance when i was trying to book a ride and i remember that i have paid for my last trip. Upon asking for help i have been asked to show the receipt of ride which i took on November. Reply i got was driver didn’t remember can you provide us receipt. Inspite of telling to check CCTV footage no positive response I get.
I will not use this app any more i will rather use UBER where customers request are being taken care with utmost care.

Worst Service Provider, Prefer to walk but never use Careem
One of the worst cab service provider as per my experience of using cab services. Loosely conducted and rubbish treatment on customer requests.
Once you transfer your money to Careem wallet, it will remain there, you cannot request for refund to your account. Is it not illegal and injustice? I have never seen such a condition anywhere with any other service provider I dealt with in past. How can you deny customer yo have his/her money refunded to his/her account if they are not interested to deal with anymore? Is it not blackmailing your customers on the name of such conditions, where we can’t have our money refunded to our bank account? A complete rubbish.
The drivers are ultimate, they ll not listen to you or look at the map but continue their useless jibber jabber and increase the meter while driving around.
The quality of service has gone down drastically, I won’t recommend Careem cab service even on deserted island. Shame on Careem.

Worst customer experience
I have ordered a Pizza Hut medium chicken pizza from Careem in Dubai and paid 41AED but when I received pizza there was only 3-4 very small pieces of chicken flakes. it’s not worth of money I paid and also the packaging was very poor like it was just a box which was not even kept in a cover and ketchup was kept on the side of the pizza box which wasn’t acceptable. I have called on the same to Careem customer care and explained the details to agent name Abdul Rehman and have asked to take the food back and return the proper food for which I paid the amount but this guy has repeatedly denied to replace the food. Who never understood my concern at all. Such a worst experience and I will never choose Careem to order food again.
Please do the right thing do not deny just like blindly without even analyzing. This deserves zero rating.

Option to update pick up location
Guys, please give option to update(drop pin) pick up location once the captain is confirmed and coming. Sometimes the captain is just 30-50m away and thn we have no option to walk fr that long or call the captain to explain him our current location.

I would have gave you 5 stars but there is one thing missing... you should add in build calling system like whatsapp or facebook messenger have coz at some time the user does not have the recharge in his mobile to call the captain so if you make an in build calling option he can easily call the captain

The app is a great deal. Very helpful in Baharain. But need more improvements. I noticed every update makes app look good and easier but making slow to open. And please add a notification sound when the Captain arrives. That would be handy

Since a month or so I have reverted to my previous travel system because you have increased your rates and to add to it you normally jack up by putting peak hour factor( which does not sound logical) It is now no longer affordable enough to travel by your outfit.
