This is a good app which helps in learning and specially books. In this chapter by chapter summary is given of books, which helps in getting the essence of the content of the main book. This also helps in better selection of a book which you will read the unabridged version. You can even listen to the summary. If even images could be given in the blinks (summary )than it would be great.

Initially I was hesitant and tried a book which I already read and the blink summarised it very beautifully. Now I started to listen the blinks while I commute. This is modern day book shots. Loved it and I recommend to all who starting to read and also for avid readers.

Dropping the rating more. The UX is pretty bad. The app takes a very long time to load, the downloading / buffering is bad and it keeps stuttering which is annoying especially while driving and you can’t fix it without stopping to the side. One can’t even queue up apps and I lose some interesting recommendations due to this behaviour.

I had low expectations, but I quite like the summaries (blinks) of the various books. Helps to discover a lot of books that I wouldn’t otherwise have read. Getting a feel for the summary will help me decide to buy a book or not. However the app doesn’t run in the background and stops after every blink. This is very inconvenient and I need to keep the screen switched on for hours or babysit the app every 3 minutes. This is the only reason I’m docking it a few points.

Don't fall prey. They say free trial but as soon as you download and log in, your money will get deducted. According to them, 7 days free trial works even when you unsubscribe on 3rd or 4th day(we do that because we think we might forget to unsubscribe before the free trial ends) but guess what they are lying. They cancel your free trial as soon as you unsubscribe. They took the money, and I’m on my 3rd day and the app is already locked, I can read anything. Also, it’s 100% paid app. Every after you subscribe, it only allows you to open the app and listen to few books. Rest, all of the books are kept with a price tag like the way it is kept in shops. I do not understand what we are paying for? We aren’t getting to read full books. We just get chunks or it and still every moment is Rs.499?

First of all, blinkist is a great idea with those who want to read many books but have little time to read all in a category. But they wish to absorb the crux. This is ideal for such dimwits.
Secondly, I have used it free for 2 years now and signed up for premium only one month where I hardly used it.
So I decided to use the free book option. However for the past 30 days I haven’t been able to access the free book.
So left with no option, I’m uninstalling it.
I’m a high capacity reader who reads 50 a year and this I feel is not for me as it is adversely affecting the minds of the new generation that wants to just peter keating their way out.
Also - would you believe it.. they only have non fiction books as if fiction books don’t matter. Nonsense. Maybe they have a few fiction but jeez- you never see them in the free book section.

My only recommendation as I go through the various titles. In the “my library” > “finished” section please introduce a filter where we can separate the shortcasts from the blinks. It’s getting crowded in there and sometimes when I want to re-visit my blinks, the disorganised theme takes it away from the beautifully organised interface you guys have.

I have been using Blinkist from quite sometime now and I must say, it has introduced me to a good number of great books.
The blinkist helps break down a book into 9 to 10 pages called blinks, and these blinks succinctly captures the gist of the book.
It manages to create an interest in the good ones for you to buy the whole book, and helps you from avoiding the duds that looks promising but really isn’t.
All in all I am very happy with this app and sincerely recommend it to all my fellow readers who want to read only great books.
The one free blink a day is the cherry on the cake and it’s really a great service being offered by the app owners.

I have been using Blinkist ever since they started. I got my whole family to use it. It's perfect for people, who for whatever reason, don't like reading an entire book. Blinks are so concise and to the point. I suffer from depression and anxiety a lot and I used Blinkist as a tool to distract myself whenever I have disturbing thoughts or my mind starts to wonder, I just open Blinkist and choose a book and zone out. I promise you this isn't an ad or endorsement (though I wish they did lol) but I am in love with this app like none other.

Extraordinary charges for a verbal review of the book

I was evaluating the app when I was charged before my trial ended. Contacting blinkist support didn’t help as they redirected me
apple support, which in turn was again not useful.
The basic idea of blinkist is to provide summary of the book in 15 minutes but it fails to do so. It looks more like a review rather than a summary. If you think this will save your time reading a book, you are mistaken. Important points are skipped and if you want to listen to the whole book, you have to pay again, even on the premium plan.
That is the final nail in the coffin. I’m not going to use it as it wastes more time than saving it.
I have also requested for a refund!

There is no anything I don't like about this app. Everything seems perfect. Voice of narrator, actionable advices, highlighting important points and saving them for later. It is just perfect. But I think it is bit overpriced. Price in India is ₹800. It should be somewhere around ₹500.

As someone who likes to read, having a book on my hands condensed to a read of not more than 15 minutes, gives me access to some amazing knowledge and content.
Not only the apps language keeps the content neutral, which is central in a platform like this, but also manages to condense the summary in a structured manner which I loved.

There are multiple lenses you can see Blinklist from! Its not a replacement to reading books as that’s uour holy grail, but what it lets you do is the following
1. Summarises ideas from the best of books you May otherwise not have the time to read
2. Creates a short summary / notes for the books you have read and want a refresher
3. Helps you decide what to read next as you don’t have to rely on the cover or others to decide what you May like
In addition the new feature of minutes is useful and gets your day started with thoughts you can mull over. Its good for your brains!

15, well may be sometimes 20-25, minutes is all it takes to get the feeling of having read a nice book. Non-fiction one at that!
I read the book on my way to office in the metro. And re-read the same book to revise its concepts on my way back! Amazing content...no wonder it is summarized by real humans who have actually the read the full book! Highly recommended if you enjoy reading a wide variety of books!

Once I start reading a book a new book recommendation at the end opens up new book and chain reaction goes on some times leading me to finish 4 to 5 books at a time. For an app that claims to present best nonfiction content in a nutshell, this one is a disappointment. A huge one.
Its one thing to base a business idea on people’s pathetic reading habits, but you have to know whom you are addressing after all- are they non readers (they won’t change their habits with your content), people with minimal reading (they have seen better), or someone who has no exposure to most basic social media (yes, they are a nice target group, at least some clickbaits would increase acquisition!)
I got free version, the samples were too few in numbers (1 in each category) and too less in-depth. If I need their paid version to know “excerpts” of what books Bill Gates read, you are in for an enlightenment. Nonfiction is a mammoth category-and someone capable enough to curate that requires to be of Warren Buffet’s reading stature to begin with.
The usual sign up flow harassed me with technical error, something from a rookie dev who seems to have delivered in hush-hush timeline.
It seems like the owners spent too much on Facebook marketing (I see their ad daily) - a portion of that needs to go to curation team and developers. Look at what medium is able to provide- you are ruining a goldmine opportunity.

I used to be one of those people who’d think that reading a book from front to end was essential for a positive impact. Nevertheless, I decided to give Blinkist a try, and I thank myself for it. It’s a great way to get insight in short periods of time. I highly recommend it.
There is just one thing to remember. Use Blinkist for only a certain type of books, depending on why you’re reading a book. For example, I only listen to te “Blinks” of self-help books because one does not have to read the entire book to understand the message. Do not use it to study literature!

I discovered this app accidentally while reading an article online. At first, I downloaded it and subscribed to its trial version although a bit hesitant. Amazingly, the app became by best companion on my boring drives from and to work of about 30 minutes. Now, i just listen to my favorite topics through the way and feel enlightened after every trip! I would probably never discover such treasures in 15 minutes had it not been by Blinkist. Blinkist people, please add great works of fiction too which i so want to read but do not have enough time at disposal 🙏🏻😘😍

Hi there. In the app, 7days free trial has been offered but even for using that, they asked for money and said the subscription can be canceled anytime. And there will be charge. I paid but didn’t find the app useful and canceled the subscription within half an hour. But still my money has not been refunded. I need my money back. Not even one star. Not because the services is good or bad, it’s because they cheat people by making them believe if they don’t like the app, the subscription can be canceled and money will be refunded.

I have read about 175 books on Blinkist and I am astounded by the variety of subjects covered by them. From Architecture (Built: Roma Agarwal) to History (Jerusalem: Simon Sebag Montefiore) to Psychology (Solve for Happy: Mo Gwadat) - any and every topic finds a place in their daily reads.
Beautifully organised with preliminary sections on the expected readership and the author, there is a masterly reduction of the whole book into blinks, that whet the reader’s interest in the subject. In fact I bought all the three books referred to above after reading their version in my Blinkist App

Blinkist is such a wonderful app I can't live without. The magic of this app is reading and absorbing the entire book in few minutes. If I am not able to read, then there is option to listen it in actual human voice.
My only concern is that annual subscription is seems like simple dollar conversion to Indian Rupees. Guys I can understand the efforts you are putting in. However, India being a big and price sensitive market. Please have some geo specific pricing. I am sure there will be millions of paid customers. Think about it.
And please convey my heartfelt thanks to entire team. Guys, you are doing amazing work and the selection of books are equally amazing.

People with less time and wanting to grasp more, this is a wonderful app to invest in. Squeezing such meaningful and important books into something as short as 10 pages or 15-20 minutes audio is a favour unheard of. I have been able to assimilate so much more content than I was ever capable of only because of what Blinkist has to offer that no app ever did. Go ahead and press that subscription button.

You end up consuming a lot of content and some of the blinks really stick with you for life. It is obviously not as good as reading a whole book but I feel a full book also has some noise which can be avoided. This app does it nicely. Apart from that.m: the UI is on point, the fonts are very readable and the flow of the app is very inviting and subtle visual cues make you want to read more titles. I would definitely recommend.
