Adobe reader is very useful app for reading pdf files and very easy to use. But only in my iPad Air 4, while opening my large pdf more than 100mb files, occasionally it crashes. Than it won’t open any files and I need to restart device than only I can open even large files. This problem is only there in my iPad not in windows 10 PC. Must be resolved by creators. Than I can give your app 5 star.

Kindly provide acrobat pro editor at cheaper rates or fixed lifetime rates specially for college students, similar facility is there in so many other apple apps.

The file has to be saved first in OneDrive or other location (for organisation controlled application) and only from such location can be attached to the mail.

When I type any word to find in the pdf it searches the word and takes me to the page in which the searched word is present but IT DOESN’T HIGHLIGHT THE FIRST FIND RESULT IN THAT PAGE and the subsequent find results in the page are highlighted. And suppose if there is only one find result in the page it simply takes me to the page and doesn’t highlight the find result. On clicking next it takes me to the next page and same problem persists.

I read documents of varying size and quality, and use Apple Pencil as well.

Since a couple of days, i have been noticing my iPad heating up (goes beyond warming) at the back of iPad near Apple logo. And few times it heats up so much that I can feel the screen on front getting warmed up.

I have checked and rechecked, and only this App is causing heat. Furthermore, I have narrowed it down to even document’s types which seems to trigger the heating. I read ePaper on daily basis, and whenever I open ePaper now, it starts heating. Whereas, another pdf book, of much larger size, doesn’t cause heating.

Before current version, I never noticed such problem. It’s really absurd. Any insight on this singular problem?

This is by far the best Reader app available on apple store. But if only there was a feature for opening multiple tabs as we have on desktop version, it’ll be unbeatable!

I am a student and I need to constantly jump from on book to the other... and without the multiple tab feature, it becomes cumbersome and I end up downloading multiple reader apps and split screen which at times becomes a stupid thing to do since after annotating and highlighting, switching to other reader app becomes tricky!

I have been using this app to read my college books but of late it is taking too long to open files that are big around 100mb-400mb. It has also become very unreliable in terms of the comments(highlights) not being saved. Some times the app just crashes without saving the highlighted lines. At times I get an out of memory warning and the unsaved highlights get lost when I reopen the book. It’s extremely frustrating when that happens especially when one is hard pressed on time.

I always use Adobe in multi screen with google now. I use Apple Pencil for making notes. I am using iPad 2018. Every time I write a note in adobe while in multiscreen it crashes (every time !). It’s really bad. I have send crash reports every time but crash-ups still persist.

I really like the way the app works, especially the ability to annotate on text. I have just a couple of suggestions, these being:

1. Sometimes the pdf file does not automatically resize to fit the whole screen, and the need to constantly pinch and zoom to fit is a botheration

2. There needs to be an ability to quickly be able to reach any of the annotated pages, a list of the same should be readily available

3. A view of the number of pages in the whole pdf and grid views of individual pages would possibly be a help

4. The cost for the editable version of the app is prohibitively high for a home user and needs to be slashed by more then 50%, this would bring in more paid users and make it meaningful

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a very useful app for viewing PDF's and is better than iBooks for it. But the continued nagging push to upload and save everything in the Adobe "cloud" is irritating. Whenever I try to highlight or comment page does not fix lit moves to next page. Please fix the page when I try to highlight or underline.

Please restore this function, as this was the major reason to buy the iPad Pro. I will be very thankful for this.

While doing annotations on pdf if I don’t save, if I press home, I lose all my annotations of hours and when I come back there are no annotations. Your app can’t even stand in the background. Sometimes even when I save the annotations by pressing “done” and press home and come back, I lose all my annotations since the previous save. What is wrong with you??

And please make diagonal scrolling more easy, if I scroll diagonally, it usually goes vertically/horizontally.

Fix that too.

The app was better before the update!

Could you please make the following changes:

1. Bring back the in app brightness control and the different theme options (sepia, night mode)

2. When trying to highlight a word, the entire line gets selected instead of just the word that you intended to.

3. On selecting the send option, a new mail client type interface is presented which is contrary to the general iOS design language( a small pop up window with different options in it)

I like the new version because it hangs less. Cuz I use adobe day n night for studying medical books, even after highlighting and writing tons of notes , it loads faster . But then sometimes pgs take time to load and is not good for searching in the search box , that takes tons of time too when compared to searching on a computer,

Option to export all highlights into separate pdf will be great. While we read big documents, if only we can export all highlighted text into a pdf or comments window at least, it makes revision of the pdf for students much easier. Kindly looks into this suggestion

Good app to read but unable to write or underline in current version of app which was better feature of previous edition.

Not worth downloading as compared to PDF NOTES. Best software to read on iPad than any one else. Even iBooks won’t be able to defeat.

I tried best app in reading and making notes and I found best one is pdf-notes only. Try and see.

Clearly lacking some intuitive features makes me feel like devs themselves don’t use the app. A few pointers

1. Please allow an Apple Pencil button so user with Apple Pencil can leverage the full features.

2. The comments bar should be on left or right not on the top eating valuable screen estate, PDFs have margins on both sides so why not overlay that menu on the space where no content is presented.

Otherwise a great app.

It just doesn’t save the annotation work automatically. If for some reason the app is force closed, all the annotation work is lost (wasn’t the case before the latest update). Also it is taking too much time to clear the PDF while zooming in and out. The PDF is always blurred whenever I open the app from the background. It takes a while to clear it again. Pretty annoying. Please fix this.

Update has many good things but it is very less user friendly than earlier version...

But later after using 4-5 days my scepticism decreased ..but at least interfaces was better earlier, although now there are some improvements in many desirable areas.

Pdf means Adobe! No alternative

Pdf formats have evolved the texts to another level. Adobe products have played an important role in it. Updates are exciting.

Adobe reader, adobe scan, abode page maker has made life easier. Still many more updates are required. Many more successes to come. Hail Adobe!!!

Forcing to create account for every action

Previous updates were so simplified

no login or account was required. Now even to scan a document or any other simple action you have to create unnecessary account and you have to download other app as well. Dint like it.... hope it could as simple as earlier. Pure Wastage now.... hoping in next update... no requirement to create account to scan documents and no requirement of other application to scan as well.

It was fine till recently . Showing this new error whenever I open other apps and come back to adobe . All my edited notes highlighted points r being erased . Kindly check this matter .

The problem is not being rectified . Kindly provide the solution .

This version of pdf comes with a user friendly features and easy to access files and upload files and easy to read and write as well. I do really happy accessing adobe reader and I would suggest everyone to use Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Can’t open multiple pdf files simultaneously.

I like this app, only that you can open one file at a time. It limits me to cross reference with other files or take notes. Please, upgrade it with the feature, it would help a lot of students who primarily uses iPad as the screen for their books and notes.

I am ready to give 5 stars as soon as you provide a split screen like feature compare 2 different PDFs at same time within the adobe reader itself also make it available for iPad mini 1 cause that is the feature I have been waiting and other PDF reader foxit has this feature and it's even working in iPad mini 1 but really want it Adobe reader

I have added web addresses as notes in my ebooks. After copying the address, We have to hit cancel button to exit the note and then just after cancel next option appears at that place is delete. There is no notification about confirming the erasing of note and in hurry few times I have deleted few notes while exiting the note. Of which the copied web address was only a small part so the important data was lost. Hope this gets fixed in next version.

Please upgrade commenting ability.

1. Writing with apple pencil doesn’t work smoothly. I want to keep some handwritten notes, remarks in margin of PDF books.

2. Within comment box, Pencil should be usable. Handwriting & hand drawing would be faster & smoother for revision. Mixture of Pencil, Typed text, image insertion ability (with basic functions like cropping, transparency, rotating, color tone change) would make it great

3. Separate option should be provided to turn off hand gesture while using apple pencil for commenting, making remark/notes on margin. But allowing zoom & scrolling using two-three fingers. (As Microsoft OneNote provides).

4. While working for above point no.2, please notify that whether such comments/Call-out boxes would be readable & editable in other readers like Adobe for PC, Foxit, WPS, Polaris, Google’s integrated PDF readers or not.

I understand that Pencil written comments would be editable only if Other softwares integrate the facility.

5. While editing the previous comment/remarks, eraser should work properly so that one need not to delete whole comment/remark to change it in future.

I understand that this needs high level programming. Hence your efforts & reply regarding which parts are possible in near future & which are in long term would be appreciated.

I would love to give a five star, if you people had switch between tab options in adobe reader. Multiple reading is getting difficult in adobe as we have to go back and open the other file again. Please take a look at this.

It’s great app... But highlights are not visible in reading mode. Please fix it.

I am using adobe reader to a book in pdf format. I switched on night mode and reading it in reading mode. What ever lines or words, I marked as highlights in normal mode are not visible in reading mode.

Also I can’t mark any highlights in reading mode.

If there is any technical feasibility to fix, please fix it.
