Worst and horrible service

When we place order lesser time will be shown to deliver this is to allure customer and deceive the customer, once order placed the delivery time keeps dragging and doubling and you’ll never know here the delivery rider is and Talabat cheaters couple up deliveries for more customers at once even your order is ready it may not be delivered and they never deliver on time if food ordered in night chances of going to bed hungry if trusting Talabat. Very bad UX around offers

You have kept applying vouchers so complicated that one has to really struggle to apply any voucher and then you don’t even tell that the voucher is applied or not and take the user directly to the payment where amount is deducted and only through bank you come to know that voucher wasn’t applied .

Whole app is built so well just this part is made so difficult . Can’t be unintentional.

For any customer POV money is the most important transaction. Saving users money should be as seamless as deducting money.

I had a very disappointing experience with Talabat. My order took nearly 3 hours to arrive, which is completely unacceptable. What made it worse was the lack of communication and concern from their side—there was no proper update or effort to resolve the delay. It felt like they simply didn’t care about the customer experience. I hope they take feedback seriously and improve their delivery times and customer service.

Worst experience

I ordered food from Foodlands at 8:40 PM, and now it’s 10:50 PM—more than two hours later, and I still haven’t received my order.

When I contacted Talabat support, the representative informed me that there was an issue with the rider’s bike and assured me it wouldn’t happen again. However, I’m unable to cancel the order because the cancel button is disabled, and I also can’t track the order since the tracking page isn’t loading.

The app still shows an estimated delivery time of 30–45 minutes, which is clearly inaccurate.

If I had known this would happen, I would have picked up the food myself from the restaurant. This is very disappointing service from Talabat.

Cheating People and Giving fake promise

I am extremely disappointed with Talabat’s customer service. A customer care agent promised to resolve my issue regarding a voucher that expired due to their own technical problem. However, when I called again to follow up, they kept me on hold for almost 5 minutes and then ended the chat conversation without any proper explanation.

When I contacted them again, the new agent said they were not aware of any previous promise and simply told me they would “raise a complaint.” Unfortunately, nothing was done after that. No proper follow-up, no resolution, and no accountability.

This is absolutely ridiculous and feels like cheating customers with false promises. Very unprofessional handling of customer concerns. Talabat needs to seriously improve their customer support and stop making empty commitments just for show.

Issue with refunds and complaint resolution

Today I had the misfortune of ordering from Monoprix on Talabat. One of the items I ordered was unavailable the vendor called and said there would be an automatic refund. I waited the entire day and a refund never came. I started to communicate with Talabat being a pro member on a ‘so-called priority’ basis at about 12 in the afternoon. Till 0630PM I had received seven calls from different agents, each one giving me a completely different answer. The last call phone call from the complaint resolution Centre was from a very curt lady who said they had reviewed my case and they were happy with the action they had taken - which I’m not sure what this action was because I never got my money. She said they would do nothing more for me!!! I just want to highlight this to Talabat management and ask about my rights as a customer.

Talabat Pro is fraud

Talabat pro is a complete fraud. First of all, I was charged for the pro subscription and within 15 mins I contacted the customer support to cancel and refund the same. They agreed. But it has been more than two weeks that I don’t got any refund inspite of following up two more times.

Now to not waste the pro subscription since I have already paid the money, I planned to order food. I saw offer running for meals for one, which was showing delivery fee. But during ordering I saw a delivery fee applied. I promptly contacted their support to confirm, to which they assured that I can go ahead and place the order after which the delivery fee will be refunded. After placing the order, I contact support again for delivery fee refund to which they agreed.

After an hour I received a call from their dispute team saying it that it mentioned ‘delivery fee’ and not ‘free delivery’. First of all such a malpractice but moreover I got this confirmed from their support even before placing an order, which means a complete wrong information was given by them, which shows how lacking their team is.

Such pathetic behaviour and malpractice.

Escalation: Urgent Complaint Regarding Solo Membership Cancellation

Dear Talabat Management,

I am extremely disappointed with the way my Talabat Solo membership has been handled. Despite paying for a yearly subscription, my membership has been canceled without my consent. This is not the first time I have faced issues with Talabat, and it is seriously affecting my trust in your platform.

I expect uninterrupted service for the duration of my subscription. Canceling my membership without approval is unacceptable, and it raises questions about the reliability of Talabat’s services.

I kindly request this matter to be escalated to higher management. I expect one of the following resolutions without delay:

Immediate reinstatement of my Solo membership with full remaining validity.

Refund of my annual subscription fee in full, as I did not receive the service I paid for.

If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to escalate my complaint further through official consumer protection channels.

I look forward to your urgent response and a clear explanation of how you will prevent such incidents from happening again.

Delayed food, wrong food deliveries more than thrice

They take obnoxiously long time to deliver food within 2 distance ! Most annoying thing is , they have delivered non-veg food item ( probably not their fault but restaurant’s) instead of veg/ vegan more than 3 occasions! I am vegetarian, and it was horrible experience. They are so casual about food preference! What if someone has allergy or something. The app needs to ban such restaurants! Horrible experience with food delivery apps in Dubai!

The driver never returned the change and talabat is not not doing anything

I placed an order and the driver did not have change, he said he'll come back with the change, but never did. When i contacted talabat, instead of resolving my issue, they just issued a voucher of the same amount, not talabat credit. And when I tried placing an order with that voucher, it said I needed to spend the entire amount to avail the voucher. I spoke to talabat again and asked them to rectify the situation as this way they're just forcing me to spend money on talabat. I was assured it will be sorted, but still they did nothing. This is the most useless food delivery app in Qatar, they are charging for pro membership and assure free delivery and then they will charge delivery fee also. A bunch of idiots in the customer service department will say you their higher official team (higher bunch of idiots) will contact you to clear this issue, they will never going to contact you or never refund your amount or never resolve this issue. Wow! 🤩the food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors in every dish. The chicken dum biryani was simply outstanding, and the burnt garlic rice something new I tried was incredibly tasty. The Murgh Malai tikka was perfectly balanced, with a delightful charcoal aroma. We ended the meal with a mouth watering dessert a the fresh mango cream which was just heavenly.

I had Talabat vouchers, and this stupid talabat app doesn’t let me use partially. Over that they make sure that you make an order more than the amount in the voucher. This is ridiculous. I had voucher of 20 Bahraini Dinar, talabat won’t allow to checkout until my cart is above 20 Dinar. Who’s gonna need food worth 20 dinar just for 1 person ? Never buying anything using vouchers. Poor customer service

One part of my order was stale. I complained to the restaurant and they accepted and reverted the money for the specific food item. The only thing was that I had to request it through Talabat. Talabat instead of giving the refund gave me a small token voucher to be used within 15 days. The live chat agents keep repeating the same message again and again and don’t want to answer the query on what happened to the refund money from the restaurant

Extremely Disappointing Delivery Experience

I am writing to express my frustration with the recent experience on your app. I ordered food for delivery to my home while I was at the office, and despite providing the correct delivery address, the rider went to my real-time location instead. This makes it impossible to place an order for a different address, especially when I’m not physically present there.

To make matters worse, there was no way to instantly contact support within the app to resolve the issue. This is a significant flaw and results in a very poor user experience. I hope you address this issue quickly, as it seriously affects the reliability of your service.

Worst app in UAE for any delivery

You cant rely on Talabat as they will cancel your order anytime specially for food. You are waiting for food after placing your order and suddenly you get message saying restaurant is closed. They dont have a number to talk to them in help section. App crashes very often, and app UI looks like developed by an intern developer. Very slow and buggy. They dont give you an option to delete your card details saved with them in their servers.

Talabat is a fraud

This is my experience. I ordered food from Gad at 11:20 pm the food was to be delivered at 12:30 am. At 12:30 am the horror started they kept calling from different numbers mocking me for the address and saying the order was coming even though the Talabat did not cancel the order and helped them. At 3:30 am it started showing the order was cancelled so I slept but at 5 am after 6 hours the delivery guy came and started shouting, threatening money. I gave him the money and then he went after that Talabat changed the order to successfully delivered. The food was not eatable after 6 hrs. Me and my friends all were terrified by this experience. I made around 15 tablet help chats and calls. They all said your issue is solved. And this is how tabalat and restaurant people stayed happily after.

Wrong order received and no refund

I had placed the order on talabat mart and had received the wrong order. Immediately I asked for the refund by raising complaint on the app. A message popped up that refund request has been received and refund will be processed within three days. Refund was never processed and when I contacted them again they say as per their policy refund cannot be processed as it is more than three hours after order was received. I told them to take back the wrong order but no response. Customer care seems have only one ready made drafted email stating that item is resolved without even reading the request/ complaint.

Had my order canceled twice due to an error on the useless application. This is by far the worst food delivery service and application in the country, bar none. Both times, my refund is in talabat credit alone. They mess up, and they force you to use their app again. I’ve been waiting two hours for food since both cancellations happened automatically and I wasn’t even notified on this pathetic excuse for an application.

They’re after your money, and offer the worst service of any application in the country.

Indirectly forces you to choose restaurants

Chose restaurant A, on checkout asked me to wait 30 minutes or choose from “nearby list”. Nearby restaurants don’t have food i am looking for. I tried Restaurant B, end-up having same result i.e wait for 30 minutes or order from “nearby list” of restaurants.

An app not worth using ..

Its an app not worth using. The support from customer care is just a chat and verbal apologies and empathy. Their answers are just so automated and not helpful. No matter how long a person uses their app, there is no such thing as customer loyalty . No direct customer care number provided. Initially you have to start with a chat and wait for customer care.

If the order is delayed , you get an verbal apology over a call. If i want to cancel my order within 2-3 mins of placing my order, they say the restaurant has already started preparing my order even without seeing what i have ordered for .

Why i have been still using this app? They dominate the market but now there are other delivery partners like Deliverooo which has an excellent customer support and user friendly application. But as a consumer, I really felt like sharing my feedback and give them an 1 star rating before i delete this app and try to clear the misconception that they have of 4.5 star service.

Worst service & Customer Support

The delivery order I placed on app wasn’t delivered and I got a call from Talabat when quoted delivery time was over saying that item I ordered is not in stock with restaurant (App showed order was accepted by restaurant) weird app!!! On the call I clearly stated that I need refund on my original payment method which is Apple Pay and I was assured about it and immediately after call I received sms saying I am given app credit for my refund!!! I used chat support to complain about this and the chat agent was arrogant enough to ask me to check after 30 mins on chat!!! My order got cancelled despite of restaurant accepting my order on your app and you guys can’t even provide refund on Apple Pay and you chat guys tell me to check again!!! Don’t you have automated refund system to original payment method??? What kinda software or app you are running ??

Poor Customer Service

1. If you raise a complaint in English, they will resolve with reply in Arabic.

2. Refund to wallet is fast, but to bank account where you did payment is a nightmare. You will raise complaints continuously, but it still not yet refunded after 7 working days. In other works 10 normal days. They are fast with wallet as they want the customer to spend money on talabat itself.

3. Raised 3 different support requests for same thing at different time. None of them came to a resolution.

It’s a common food court at expo for some chain of restaurants but be careful that you will have to order separately and end up paying service charge for each restaurant. The funny part is you have to pick up your food from the counter and pay service charge for the same.

It just gets cancelled even though I didn’t cancel it

I had excellent experience from talabat till now, but nowadays, even though I order it, it gets cancelled automatically. And when I want to cancel an order, and I click on the help button, it’s showing, not working etc etc..I hope u can fix this issue..

Worst Delivery Service

I have order pizza at 20:10 and its 22:00 and i am still waiting for pizza.

I would never recommend this to anyone rather i’l ask them never order thru talabat. If you can wait for 2-3 hours for delivery then you can surely go for it.

First time on Talabat money gets deducted but order not processed

First time on Talabat on 21 April ordering medicines. Money gets deducted but order is not processed. Contacted the customer care which unfortunately is only on chat and email no phone call customer service. They said the money will be refunded after 90 minutes.

Well it took the system seconds to deduct the money but they will take 90 minutes for refund. They don’t have a call centre with number because such frustrated customers whose money has been deducted will take all their frustrations on them. Poor customer care guys have to take the brunt for the technical teams app failures.

Talabat has provided great service during the core lockdown period. The food quality and delivery is accurate. The app is great!!! Just one feedback please add Multi factor Authenticator like otp or call while making payment directly from card added in profile.

Unprofessional and disrespectful customer service

I had been experiencing this multiple times, after placing order especially through card payment they deliver food late stating they have shortage of riders or restaurant is busy at this moment and so on....When u try to complain it on chat support those bunch of idiots rather than being empathetic they ask u to cancel order as if it’s only customer need to place order on this app called talabat😡😡😡😡

Mifdle East's most difficult food ordering app

If you want to experience a technology solution that lets you order food in the most difficult way then you should try talabat. Every feature search menu to food selection to service time and tracking is difficult to use and shows false information. Even the partner restaurant told me they can't update their delivery time with talabat and asked me to use any other app but talabat. Every time i have a chance to this app I went hungry. Thank you talabat.

Worst Customer Service

Worst customer service, force you to take talabat credit and you’ve to stick with their service again. No hotline number to reach them quickly for support, only live chat is available as of now which will take hell lot of time to connect and you’ve to stare the screen otherwise the session will expire. No intimation from talabat if order get cancelled by restaurants even after accepting the order initially. You’ve to Starve until then !!!!

Worst experience

I ordered something through Talabat and even after 1 hour, I couldn’t check the status of my order. So I had a chat with the customer support team and they told me that no orders have been placed by me. So I went to a restaurant to have the dinner. But after 1 hour, somebody called me and asking about the order that I’ve placed.

There is some issue with your ordering system. I lost time waiting for the food to arrive. Please fix it.

Just started using app about more than a month.

Very user friendly and varied options

On selection of cuisine gives timed offers on various restaurants. Only limitation is if you select one and don’t like the menu and want to choose another the offer is not available though time still remains. This feature if made flexible would give more options
