Our experience with order id 4083896023 has been terrible. I am a Zomato Pro customer.
To celebrate birthday of my Mom and we had guests come over. We placed an order thru Zomato on 5 Spice (Chinese Restaurant – Vile Parle – just 2.7 KM away and time to travel is less than 15 minutes). The order was placed at 8:20 pm and 51 minutes were given as delivery time. We started tracking delivery 8:30 onwards and the delivery agent was shown 5 minutes away from the Restaurant. At 8:45 pm, the status never changed. So we called the delivery agent, and he informed he will delivery with a bit of delay due to rains. At 9:00 pm , the time of delivery, got a call from Zomato , saying the delivery would be 30 minutes late, requesting us to wait. At 9:30 pm, our guests left thoroughly disappointed and we felt terribly helpless and ashamed .
Finally we contacted Zomato customer service via chat at 9:55 pm . The Customer Service person informed us that the order will not reach us at all asking us if we wanted to cancel the order. Did we have any choice??? As a matter of token, a coupon of Rs. 400/- was shared over SMS to us.
Now at 10:00 pm in the night, how do we celebrate Birthday dinner? It was the most disgraceful event , all because of Zomato and look at the apology of Rs. 400/- . We are not looking for tokens but what about annual birthday celebrations lost ?? Our guests walking away and we left with no option but to remain hungry and survive on sandwiches.
I seriously warn people that if u see delivery getting delayed by Zomato, just cancel it and switch to someone like Swiggy or other aggregators if you don’t want to be treated like we were. Alternatively just skip Zomato.

Many Restaurants resorting to lower volumes of food being delivered, while the prices rise too. I call that a ‘Double Whammy’ to customers, which Zomato pays no heed to. That’s appalling, as you have a responsibility to your customers to ensure quality and volume of food for the amount I spend. I recently ordered food from Fort Cochin here in Bangalore. It was one of the worst Kerala Food that I have ever eaten. Am from Kerala and was just appalled at the curries that contained no flavour and had so much water and every dish was only good enough for the bin. One of these days I may react and stop ordering via Zomato and rather cook at home or use other direct to home restaurants, which is slowly happening and I totally support them. You make more money than the restaurants. Am passed off and hence will never upgrade my status to Pro Ever. I know am wasting my time even writing this review. You will never do anything or ever care…….

Dear zomato as I am a student and reside in hostel you can say I am a regular customer of yours. I feel you must change your rules of not refunding your customer if the order has been cancelled from your side. Actually I ordered from a different place to a different state/city and I literally don't know about the city or the place. So I typed the address of my friend's house but the map was pointed in a different direction which I am unaware of. I ordered from KFC where normally food doesn't get wasted. When the delivery partner called he said place is too far from where you have ordered and I understood his problem than I asked what should I do know he said let me checked with the higher authorities if they can help you. After that there was a call from customer service and the lady directly said we cannot refund your money, cancelled my order and cut the phone. I asked her please help if you can transfer the order to the nearby KFC or atleast refund half of my money but no she refused and hang the call. In my opinion people will not atall cancel the order out of joke until there is some kind of emergency. Still there is no provision of refund even half of the money if any sort of things like this happen. This is unacceptable what I feel so. Maybe it's a small gain for you but big loss for students like us.

I had placed this order on 22/05. When the order was delivered, the coffee was spilled all over the food. Not sure about others but I do not like coffee on/inside my burgers. Reached out to Zomato chat support, but they were of no help. I had shared pics to them showing that the entire order including coffee was not in a condition to be ate. They kept on “understanding” my problem and pushed me to give a bad review to the restaurant on zomato app, which btw I have done already. However, against my total order of Rs 764, I was refunded Rs. 250 only. I fail to understand this logic as to why only Rs 250 was refunded?? I had requested the chat support to get the item picked up and talk to the delivery person if there was any query or concern on this. However, there was no further action taken on this. Now tell me this, if the food items were not edible at all and I had paid for the order, why should there be a partial refund?? I had to throw away the food and did not get full refund either. Left a really bad taste in my mouth(Pun intended). P.S: Please coach the chat support not to abruptly hang up the chat if they do not have a solution to the customer’s issue. Rather mention the inability to assist any further and end the conversation in a meaningful way.

We ordered dinner from zomato and the delivery time was shown as 51 mins which is understandable. But every time we checked the progress it kept showing that our order was delayed. On the map that shows us the location of the driver, we saw that the driver was nowhere near the restaurant. We contacted the delivery guy and he said he could not deliver and told us to contact zomato support. On contacting zomato support they suggested we cancel our order. It was 9.20pm we placed our order at 7.40pm and they were suggesting we place a new order at 9.20 pm which would take a minimum of 40 minutes to arrive. We then called the hotel to see if we could pick up the order and that’s when we found out that our order had already been picked up by the delivery partner because we were under the impression it was never picked up.
Now my concern is, we had to contact the delivery person ourselves to find out whether he could deliver our order or not. If we hadn’t contacted him how long before we were intimated that we wouldn’t be getting our food?
Do your customers a favour and have better communication with your delivery partners. It is not the customer’s job to be keep tabs on whether the delivery partner intends to deliver their order.
Also we had to pay more to re order the same food because we could not re-use our coupon, and all zomato support could do was say “we understand your frustration”,
Well zomato, what are you going to do about it?

I ordered for an restaurant which is just 1 KM away I do get restaurants take some time to make food still after 2 hours waiting it was still being prepared when I tried to cancel they said it is already being prepared so if I cancel I will have to pay full for the food that I never got. After 5 unsuccessful tries they were not able to assign a delivery partner who could come and deliver the food after 1 more hour they cancel it themselves with even a single call or any work it was not that i would eat that but there is something like consent but no and they also took the full amount for that After trying to support they do not have any human you can just select option and at the end they will tell you to mail the issue where you get an apology
This is just one instance that I am sharing after that just to give it few chances they have now looted me for spilled food, some of them never delivered so product different that is how my experience has been so wonderful

I placed an order through Zomato. My order was cancelled and the delivery was not made by the agent. I had spoken to the delivery agent and guided with the address. I also sent him the location as well as the address on chat. Still the order was cancelled and i got message that i will not get refund. This is just unacceptable. How can they just charge me and then not deliver the food?? This is cheating your customer. I received one call from the delivery agent before he cancelled and i gave proper directions to the delivery agent, resent the address and map location on chat. I did not received any more calls from the agent as Zomato is claiming. Instead of solving the matter the customer care refused to refund me the amount saying the above reason. Really? If the exact locations have been sent through phone call, message and map, how can the agent not find the address and then cancel the order? This has been a horrible experience for me. I paid for food and delivery charges and taxes and the restaurant packaging charged …. and then I don’t even get the food. Then i get a message that they won’t refund me to compensate the delivery agent. What are you charging the delivery fee for then? Its a shame you spoiling your own reputation Zomato.

I’ve been using Zomato heavily ever since I moved away from Swiggy and so far there are no regrets! This review is mostly from the perspective of the app itself and not the service. I like the fact that you can access your bookmarked eateries right from the listing page. Filters are very handy and I use it quite often. The search is thoughtfully placed both on the listing and food menu pages, though the visibility on the menu page could be made better. However, the search cancel feature is placed in a weird location and needed some getting used-to. I thought that would reset the location! 😅 The past orders are embedded way too deep 😥it took me a while to find it out. I would have liked it to be more easily accessible. When you’re tracking a ‘xx mins or free’ delivery it doesn’t show an estimated delivery time like it does for normal deliveries. Used it a couple of times and then stopped just for this reason. The animations, sound fx and graphics are really cool 😍 and I hope that the team can work on these small but nagging issues to make the experience a 5 ⭐️ one.

I think, Zomato, you have started slipping with your customer service This is in regard to a particular order for which I had to wait for 2 hours ! Yes, that’s right.. 2 hours and even after that the order was cancelled !! The chat support person - Shweta was unapologetic, wasn’t even trying to problem solve. The delivery partner was rude and arrogant. The reason given to me for not getting my order delivered was - there is no parking ! And while this conversation was going on.. i had 2 zomato deliveries coming in my office (same location as my order). And i have been ordering zomato almost everyday on this exact same location, and the food always comes till the office This rider was rude enough already to not talk properly and not be ready to come inside and deliver Even the chat support executive - Shweta had the brilliant idea where she wanted me to call that delivery partner and go upto him on the road and collect my order. Dear Zomato, if I need to go till the road to get my order then why do you take those huge delivery fees on every order???????? Also, i had i informed the zomato person that the delivery partner was rude and I don’t want to talk to him. I was still being insisted by the chat executive to still go and call that delivery guy (am i the only one who wasn’t able to get the sense of it?) Thanks for keeping me waiting and hungry !

I ve been a Swiggy super member for quite long and suddenly they keep discontinue their offers and whatever you paid for the membership just disappears nowhere. No transparency and too expensive and they constantly keep changing their minimum order and too much of taxes to top it all . I felt there should be some competitive counterpart to Swiggy . And there comes zomato pro plus. Couldn’t be more happier with their offers and minimum order amount. Plus you get additional offers every time you visit those Restuarant with their pro membership. I don’t want to criticise Swiggy but honestly they have been unreasonable and too highly priced and minimum order starts at 199 to avail any offer . So not fair.
I no longer used Swiggy in the last three months and been quite satisfied with zomato. If any of you haven’t tried zomato. Please do. They have more restaurants tied up and on time delivery with less minimum order amount to Avail any promos or discounts. Keep it rocking zomato!

Hopeless service by zomato If your mobile is not working for whatever reasons and delivery person couldn’t reach you after a few calls zomato will cancel your order and not just that if you paid for food they won’t refund your money also. The delivery guy called me a few times I didn’t take the call. I got back to the delivery person after seeing the missed call. The delivery person is standing with food in hand and he says he can’t give me bcos zomato has cancelled my order. At 8 00 in the night when I am hungry and waiting for food. After making an online payment my order gets cancelled reason that I didn’t take calls. The delivery person literally ran away with my food parcel. I felt helpless and harassed. There was no use trying to reach out to their call centre. There are many food apps if they stick to their stringent policies they are bound to loose customers. I am deleting the zomato app on my phone and switching to other food apps I do not recommend zomato. Their delivery persons are inhuman thick skinned and fraudulent.

I am extremely satisfied with the services provided by Zomato. I have switched to zomato from Swiggy last year as the services provided by Swiggy was not upto the mark and the experience was bad in terms of delivery, cost and many more list will go on. My review is based on my personal and my family experience. Specially at the time of pandemic the services provided is appreciable and many salute to all the delivery boys who has served their customer with full enthusiasm and following all safety protocols. I was very happy to see that now Zomato is promoting women empowerment and I really appreciate that in near future the ratio of delivery persons will be women:men = 50:50. I will also recommend that Zomato should shift towards cleaner energy as there are several employee serving the customers using conventional automobile so it is the time to switch to e-bikes as to make the business more sustainable and environment friendly. Thanks I will look forwards for the continuity in remarkable services offered and recommending that Zomato should adopt new and environment friendly strategies to grow the business by connecting with more customers and stakeholder.

I'm a regular user. Even after purchasing pro, u are charged for delivery and surcharge on top of that. That’s just preposterous!! Having said that, Zomato has certainly made lives of customers and Restaurant owners better, even though it has given in to monopolistic tendency. If the monopoly continues and rather strengthen it, I guess it will become way too expensive to order at home. The same capitalism can be seen from the misery of the delivery guys. I sincerely hope, they get good amount of competition from 2-3 platforms. From the app front: The search results are not very optimal. Also, There needs to be more pictures of food items. They should venture into that. Rating of a particular dish needs to be enhanced. The ratings on Zomato were very genuine few years ago. Now it seems so much biased. Anybody smart can guess what is happening there. There delivery time needs to be reduced. It is very high at busy times. And there must be no charge of delivery for PRO members. You may charge more if u want on the membership fees. Charging even after that is just so much pinching (I would say offensive, honestly) to me. And their customer support is just extremely pathetic and non-friendly. It use to be very very good few years back. (I guess capitalism gave in here too 😂).

This order was for my little ones at home and was never delivered after all the drama.
First of all the order took time for delivery of 30 mins and on top of that the delivery guy had no idea of location or even looking into maps and delivering food on time. He called for location clarification, when guided he did not follow instructions instead just kept on moving around in the same area for more than an hour without patience . I even called on his personal mobile stand sent the map again as he was claiming that the app wasn’t showing the location. Instructed with all possible landmarks at least 20 places and he was So irritating that the moment I gave instructions he will pass the landmark o told to somewhere else. Best of all the restaurant itself was in 1 km radius. He wasn’t even ready to listen.I had ordered food for my 2 year old and and 6 yr old child waited for more than an hour for him to reach but in vain . Then finally I asked him where he was so that I could go and collect but that fellow happily cancelled the order after all the drama. Seriously it was a horrible experience and will never order on this platform. I think you should hire ppl who know to first behave with their customers and listen to them . If this was the kind of experience why should one even order food I myself would have got it wasted all our important morning office time and energy.

They cheat us, I had ordered some food and also select that if I don’t get it delivered by time it’s free later when the order was not delivered by the time I first tried calling the delivery partner he didn’t pick the call Then after 5 min someone for the customer care called and said that the order is a bit damaged and told to wait for 10 min Then left later when i tried talking to another customer care guy he told that I am trying to call the delivery agent and he is not picking the time that was showing to Delivery the order was 35 min in the starting I had waited for more then an hour and so I tried to talk to another customer care employe I selected English language he is talking to me in Hindi yet I talked to him he told that he will refund my order right the min it’s called and also told that he will give a voucher or an offer and told that he will only cancel the order. Now it’s been more Then an hour I didn’t get my refund amount neither I got the voucher what do I call it now I had to receive the order for free and it costed 600 something and he didn’t deliver it in time so I am supposed to receive that much money now where is it it’s just unfair and I am not gonna use this app from today.

As noticed safety is Zomato's lowest priority! Why did your delivery person deliver the food parcel to the wrong apartment where the food parcel was opened? Then afterwards your food delivery person violated the safety of my family by delivering the opened food parcel with seal broken! Please see attached picture! Your customer executive brushed the problem aside saying its a one time issue and it wont happen again! I threw away the food parcel as I cannot accept a food parcel that has already been opened with seal broken as I am not willing to compromise the safety of my family! I order food from Caterspoint(A restaurant which was showing 15km on the app). It showed a Delivery time of 72 minutes which was worth waiting for. Now I placed the order and was waiting for my food to be delivered cause I was very hungry. After almost 35 mins I get a call from the delivery agent and he goes “Sir, Where is the order to be delivered.”. I gave him my address and he tells me I cannot deliver that far sir we have a range of 10-12 kms. I was like why are you telling me this, I saw that the App showed it was delivering to my location so I ordered and I told him to call Zomato and check it with them. After 5 minutes I get a call from Zomato saying “Sir, the food that you ordered cannot be delivered to your location because it’s very far. So your order has been cancelled.” I was like of we order food and then cancel you guys charge us the the amount of the food and even if we cancel after 5 minutes but what happens when you have to cancel your order because your delivery agent cannot deliver the food. If the restaurant if out of my range for delivery then Don’t show it when search for it or simply state that “Does not deliver to your location”. Please don’t have a hungry person order the wait for her/his food to arrive and the simply cancel the order because you guys cannot deliver it!!!!

I had ordered for just burger Mac Chicken the order was accepted and they failed to deliver because of some reason I live in Mumbai and I got a call from Chennai that my order can’t be delivered then on chat I was chatting to someone in delhi and they said it can’t be done so I asked for their supervisor (this guy name Abhishek from Delhi and I had ordered food in Mumbai ) who dose t know the new state norms of Maharashtra who didn’t give me his employee I’d discuss and said he can only give 100 rs as a compensation such a bad reputation for this big company named Zomato who was listed publicly In Bombay stock exchange and National stock exchange , I will never buy their share and request everyone not to buy their share as it doesn’t respect their customers they are here just for the money please don’t help their owner to be rich and rule on us be careful. If you don’t believe me it will also happen to you in this lockdown. But still I request everyone to behungry but don’t leave their home as Zomato wants us to leave our home and go buy food from outside in this pandemic and get infected. I had ordered food last night..
Zomato's delivery person sounded unprofessional, Zomato didn't deliver the food, I was in conversation with customer care in and out for about 3 hrs escalating the issue as another delivery person said my order was been picked up by some other delivery person from Zomato and he don't have the parcel, I mentioned the whole issue with customer care again.
The customer care executive named Sutpan Srivastava committed me that he will be refunding my money immediately and will also give me the same order for free which he said will be delivered next day as it was late night so they can't proceed at that time, he also confirmed the time for delivery 9:30pm.
Next day when I called up zomato's customer care to confirm the order the executive denied and said it was a wrong commitment given to you hence we cannot provide you with the new order as the refund is already initiated, he said that he will check and get back to me in 2 mins but he never showed up, hence highly disappointed with multiple services that Zomato has to offer, will never recommend to anyone, will never trust Zomato again, have completely ruined my experience.

I have been planning to write my review from long time , when it comes to delivery , I believe the timelines for delivery are manipulated and rigged, for Eg when i place order the food gets picked up quite early ,but you and your team will not deliver till the time lines committed while ordering are met … in my mobile it will show the driver is still at the shop !! Food getting prepared and so on .. on the contrary the food has been already picked up .. all this are done to maximum delivery numbers by same delivery agent, you will clubs multiple orders along with same delivery and hold on to delivery till the last minute .. as a result the food gets cold and soggy by the time it reached us , at times I had to wait for hr long even when I can personally go and pick up from the same place in less than 15 mnts from my car .. their are some serious gapping issues in your delivery model and you have compromised the quality often . We are not getting the worth for what we are using your services .. if this is how it continues , we will stop using your services .. like me many will do eventually.. I had many experience in past , I just hoped it was one of the odd cases but it’s not . Time to fix it team Zomato , or soon one of us will dig deep and take necessary action ..

I’ve had the same issue of order spillage on multiple order. And every time the chat executive even after providing pictures ask me to think of this as an exceptional order. But this time my order is both 40 mins late and spilled 4th time in a row. The chat executive keep shifting the chat to other executives in hope that the customer gets frustrated and leaves. Reply times are more than 5 mins in hope that the customer leaves. After this not even partial compensation is provided. How many times is one supposed to eat compromised spilled food as an exceptional order? Just accept the fact that ZOMATO HAS NO SERVICE QUALITY. Zomato has turned so irresponsible and careless that unless consumer courts are involved, they don’t care. All they constantly ask is for 5 star rating but when the time comes to follow through with customer relations, it’s a very big dead end and the customer is always at loss. Keep this up and soon you guys will ko longer be the so claimed no 1 food app. As everyone will shift from this non responsive wall for an excuse of a customer support. Even after following all steps as guided and providing all details and pics, it is not responsive. Lost a loyal customer to complacency.

I have been using Zomato consistently since the time it only had reviews and menus of restaurants. It was the only app of its kind. I’ve lived abroad and used Yelp and other apps too. Nothing comes close to Zomato, it’s user interface and it’s focus on food. When Swiggy entered the food delivery market, I was their regular customer too but through the years, their quality in almost all areas has clearly declined. This was further confirmed to me when I placed the same two orders simultaneously from Zomato and Swiggy. It was a normal rush hour like a weekend night but nothing huge. Swiggy took 55 mins to deliver while Zomato delivery man was at my door in 30 mins. I enquired with the Swiggy delivery man as to why they are performing so slow compared to Zomato. They told me it’s because Swiggy makes them pick up much more orders and deliver in one go compared to Zomato. The delivery man advised me to use Zomato always and also mentioned that he plans to join Zomato when they have vacancies open next time. I’ve always had a satisfactory experience with Zomato and have faith in the brand. Would even consider being their shareholder whenever they go public!

We have been using Zomato for long time now and the best part is the user friendly app which makes it so easy to browse various options and the super best part is the Team of Zomato. The delivery boys are so well groomed and so well disciplined that the entire experience of they coming to door step without calling ( Navigating toughest areas on their own and not calling customers to guide them to the specific address) is a great experience. When the delivery guys come the way they interact is also highly appreciated. I am sure Zomato has given them adequate training on Hospitality and conduct. They always have a smile on their face and inspite of odd hours of delivery the energy level is always high. The delivery boys are really great assets and we look forward for longer relationship with Zomato to enjoy their great services. One more important feedback I’ll like to share is that there should be more promo codes or coupons as regular users like us will always need it.

Zomato has not been terrible always, don’t get me wrong, but when it’s in a situation it doesn’t always encounter or understand, IT DOESNOT HAVE ANY BACKUP. Surely this is excusable because it rarely happens but even in all its rarity, it does happen to some people sometimes. Today my designsted valet was out of coverage and the clock on him was constantly switchin from 14-24 mins. Ridiculous we thought, we had guests at home and had ordered for all. Tried customer service and what do we get? An agent telling us that they will take strict action against the valet and proceeded further to ask me “how i would like to proceed with the order” as if i have a choice?? I obviously said i would like another valet but none were available and 2 hours were wasted so what choice did i have but to cancel it?
When it’s good it’s good. When it’s bad, it’s downright terrible Zomato has no clue what to do. Sorry but please improve your red alert norms because there’s FOOD involved here and it’s ot a sim card activation which we can wait a whole day for. Terrible. This happened once when the server went down too. Surely a multi crore company should know how to handle these situations for hungry stomachs?

Extremely poor service, support & coordination from Zomato. We placed a food order. 20minutes later restaurant called to say that order will need another one hour to get ready. This is despite the fact that Zomato site showed 34 minutes delivery time till order confirmation. Also, the call came only 20minutes later. So we cancelled the order on Zomato. Zomato charged us 50% cancellation fees & when we spoke to customer support they initially said that they will refund 100% but within 5 minutes again their representative called & said that they’d never said anything like that & said 50% cancellation fees would apply. Restaurant doesn’t take responsibility. Zomato charged us 50% for no fault of us. They are just out to fleece customers. Both - Mandarin Oak & Zomato are untrustworthy, unethical & unprofessional & money minded in their attitude & behaviour. I am sure this review may not be posted on Zomato & therefore I shall also post it on all social media so that people are aware of these irregularities.

It has been a repetitive experience whenever I have bad reviews about a restaurant in terms of food quality, missing food items, quantity, spillage, the executive from Zomato copy pasts dialogues of apologies and asks to connect with respective restaurant. After writing reviews for restaurants they never respond not even one did till date.
Zomato puts the hand up saying sorry and pls reach the restaurant. Why do we need Zomato? Food delivery apps are many, restaurants also have their own vallets , restaurants also have direct discounts, if it’s all between restaurant and the customer ordering food why does Zomato exists ? For charging over hyped delivery charges ?
Being a Zomato pro customer and also a working citizen who orders food at least 2-3 times in a week from Zomato, I am highly annoyed with the service and the responses received from the customer service executives. I am uninstalling the app now and will urge all others to think twice before paying high delivery charges to Zomato when they will only raise their hand up if you are in trouble and wasting your money.

I have had a terrible Exp with Sahaas (your rep ) and the Restaurant (Chawlas2). The food quality and quantity ( for the main course meal ) was not worth the amount spent. It was not enough for two people. I have attached the pictures for you to go through and also rated the restaurant. I raised this concern to the rep, and he straight away denied help without any due diligence. All he said was, he was sorry for the inconvenience. If Zomato can't help its users in such situations, we should stop using the app. Please understand it is not just about Food but the trust in the brand, which has now has shaken. I asked the rep for a callback. He said he could not arrange it. I asked for the grievance email address he didn't share it. I asked for how to share feedback for his support. All he said was he couldn't help. I asked for his manager's email, he said it's his case, and no one else can help me. He told It was out of his jurisdiction. Wasted an hour of my time. First, it was pathetic food, and now I had to deal with an unfortunate rep. Also, I am sure the rep is only as good as his manager. He can help an end-user depending on the type of support his manager wants to provide.

Have been using Zomato for a very long time. Previously, it was limited to rate food at restaurants. Gradually, they upgraded to deliveries and to offering Zomato Gold/ Pro which was kind of great. Service has been ok for now. Some views: 1. I see they have degraded Pro by extending it to Tom, Dick and Harry. Even Street Food vendors with no great significance are on Pro! 2. Cost displayed before booking payment can be misleading. Charges and Taxes while would be legit, but get added separately at the time of billing or checkout. This can change the decision of placing order. 3. Delivery and Tracking: Prompt, Reliable, and transparent, until you come across an issue. They drop your order like a Hot Potato, cancel with no options and give you a refund with ₹150 extra to shut up. 4. Restaurants covered and within service area list is ever growing and great. 5. Delay of delivery to valet observed with certain restaurants. Does not damage the reputation of the Restaurant but destroys the Zomato experience. zomato should do something about it? 6. Clubbing multiple orders en route - while this is needed for Zomato to maintain lower costs, better margin and give value, this should be restricted and not clubbed for maybe Pro customers, there should be some differentiation here.

In the name of Zomato pro membership I am getting big zero, it’s works only for Dine out. So now I am uninstalling the app, it’s useless and in the name of hygiene we don’t know what food they are providing. If we go out for food, at least we can see what food and what type of hygienic protocol they are following, we can see the restaurant from our eye. Will never order anything here onwards from Zomato as I have experienced that the delivery guy always leaves the packet under the building anywhere and calls me to pick up from there. Also not got any help regarding my delivery of order from Zomato assistance. Just refund is not the option as we are working from home and not able to go outside we are opting for delivery option. IfIf the delivery guy didn’t want to deliver at the location with contactless delivery then why why we would haveOrdered from you. We could have gone our self and could get the order directly from Hotel. There is no point giving you the tax and even the delivery charges as it is pointless because you guys are selfish with postpaid orders. Once you get the money in advance you don’t feel important to serve the customer. When it is a COD that time only you entertain your customers. This is the ridiculous thing I have experienced six times consistently and it is very very very disappointing. I ordered egg biryani and I was delivered two separate boiled eggs with biryani rice which has chicken or mutton pieces in it.....I am a person who does not touch non vegetarian.....you should be ashamed to be tied up with these all kinds of restaurants....this has happened to me in the past too since am a vegetarian (who eats eggs)....if you cannot serve a vegetarian you should specify those in the description itself....this time it happened to me with Bawarchi Hyderabad (RTC cross roads).... if you want people to trust you then at least from now on take action on those kind of restuarants.... refund is not the solution it’s only a remedy but the trust is what you will lose....increase the price of the items and almost all the people are ready to pay but please serve the food as asked by the customer. Your chat system is gone to the dogs.......”not helpful” is an understatement.........zomato vallets cannot go through private roads which is not updated on your side and hence our orders are not delivered, and when delivered are in terrible condition (most of the times half delivered)! Pictures are taken for the half delivered food along with the vallet, just to prove that he didnt EAT ANYTHING ON THE WAY, and yet your chat executives give bot responses and never solve the problem! We have written to your customer complaints email and still no response! We live in godrej towers right next to godrej memorial hospital in vikhroli east in mumbai....this area has 6 20 stories towers with 4 30 stories towers and one more construction of 50 stories on the way..........just imagine the loss in your business if you keep your level of incompetence. My wife has switched away from zomato to swiggy and their service is spot on!!! I decided to continue with zomato to keep an option.........but its a shame that i didnt listen to my wife..........i too will be shifting soon! Its been forever since i am complaining about this, but zomato doesn't care about its community anymore. Despite having over four thousand followers, my reviews and pictures'd go unnoticed sincs there is no option in the explore tab using which one can consume content by foodies they are "following". Explore tab right now only shows default reviews written for random restaurants in the city irrespective of whether you follow that foodie or not. Also "comment" feature has been removed so there is no way anyone can interact with me, ask for recommendations or thank or complement me for my efforts. City leaderboards were removed eons ago, so there is no acknowledgement left for my efforts as a community member on zomato. Which is why i have stopped posting since over a year now.
People have switched to instagram and zomato community is becoming a graveyard. I dont understand why'd you overlook the decline.. Earlier i felt it was to control spamming and fake reviews but now its just dead here. Please revive zomato and save the community.
Also the marketplace was a handy feature and it was being served by the same stafd who takes care of food ordering, i dont understand why it gor discontinued. Covid is still on! And people like me prefer to remain indoors.

I was once a happy customer of Uber Eats both in delivery and customer service. From the moment Zomato procured it, problem and worst experience started when comes to customer service especially. They never provide a solution even when the order is incorrect or missing or even stale food. All they say is the same message what we will pass the feedback to the restaurant and that’s it. What’s the use of just feedback when I lost my money and was waiting in hunger for that wasted order. I agree Zomato is not fully responsible and it up to the restaurant the food is ordered but atleast they can provide a better customer service by reordering or refund for the consumers. And again am not saying that I don’t have any problems with other providers. Yes I have it but their customer service is excellent in resolving the issues by no question asked refund or reorder when any problems with the order even small issues. I even dropped mail to support team in lot of occasions with proof but with the same response - WORST RESPONSE that they will escalate the matter to restaurant. I had the entire conversation recorded with one support executive and with all the image proofs of the incorrect and stale food order. I think I should stick with other provider I mentioned or I should spend time in Kitchen. WORST SERVICE EVER. PLEASE TRY TO PROVIDE A BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I have been an avid patron of zomato from the last 3 months. There has not been a single day when i have not ordered from them mostly cash on delivery but ONCE just ONCE i made a wrong order and asked them to cancel it within 30 seconds , though they agreed but they put a rider that future cash on delivery orders will be closed for me for a few orders only . At the time i did not think much about it but even after ordering several orders in a span of 3-4 days continuous still my cash on delivery order option remained closed . When i chatted with the zomato executive they said that sir after a few orders we will open it...first of all this is not a school and you guys are not my teachers giving me a lesson or punishment , you get paidyour delivery charge and overpriced surge charge, even after I repeatedly asked them how much is a few they said we do not have the number but after few orders we will open cash on delivery for you because you are most valuable customer !!! Really !!!! This is how you treat a customer ,a MOST valued customer who has ordered 100 + orders . Absolutely despicable behaviour complete lack of apathy and understanding and total highhandedness of this Giant Zomato !!! Thank god we still have SWIGGY!! So we dont have to take such nonsense from these ppl . Past zomato user future swiggy user your loss ZOMATO

I have not received the order yet and it is too late it is the worst n worst experience with zomato, when i called the delivery boy he is somewhere far away from the location and informed me to cancel my order when i tried to cancel there is no option because there is no refund from ur side i have waited almost 2hours without eating anything in the hospital finally it is showing that order is delivered and when i tried to contact zomato support there is no relevant option to my query am very very badly disappointed with ur service my grandmother was unable to eat any food because of zomato, you better quit your business and i am ready to go for any courts for this issue previously also i faced same problem when i cancelled my order within shortspan because of mistaken order you have not refunded my 520rs which i lost unnecessarily
it is very foolish my mother is in the hospital and i ordered for my mother i almost waited for 2 hours i did not received my order i swear it is the fault of delivery boy if u want proof take my call recording with delivery boy he said he is unable to deliver order and requested me to cancel the order and if u want any proof check the cctv footage of hospital also if it is prooved that i am wrong i am ready for any enquiry

What is the point of writing honest feedback and supporting that with real pictures of bad food served when you have to moderate them and let not other viewers see them . It’s kind of clear how strong the bond between ZOMATO and those restaurants is and how this business works ! Really sad and disappointing. UNFAIR additional charges at the time of checkout , like 26 Rupees and day before 59 rupees delivery charge for an order which is right behind my house and I dropped the idea of ordering via Zomato. I keep looking for other options where I get coupons on almost every order . And you can check my ordering history , I order food very regularly but not I am looking for other options and using them . Another scam is while picking a dish form the menu of the restaurant there are two pieces displayed a higher one and the discounted one , former is always crossed out implying that the lower price will be charged and then when you checkout, they charge you as per the higher price . Really Really DISAPPOINTING!!!

A few weeks ago, I ordered food from Burger King via Zomato and that was my worst experience with Zomato.
First, the delivery guy refused to come up to my door to deliver the food and when I told him it wouldn’t be possible because I had a fracture, he spoke very rudely to me and said-“If you want to complain, go complain! And what will you complain against me,I’ll complain to Zomato about you!”
Second, I got someone else’s order of two burgers and I was so furious because Zomato doesn’t have a working complaint number on the app. When I managed to call them, none of them owned up to the mistake and were not sorry at all. In fact, Burger King and Zomato employers were constantly trying to convince me to eat the cold burgers that belonged to someone else. I didn’t want my money wasted so after waiting for 5 hours on the hold post the mixup, I managed to get my lunch order in the evening but I’m very disappointed in Zomato. And it’s not that it was my first time using the app. I’m a regular Zomato user. And this is how they treated me.

I have placed my order with Zomato on 22nd September 2019. One of the item was not available and Zomato promised me the credit within 24-48 hours.
The issue is with the customer service, the level of customer service I have received is beyond my imagination. I never thought that Zomato would be that incompetent. I never wanted to escalate the issue; however, Zomato’s customer service has provoked me until I decided to give another chance, I placed another order today and guess what the same thing has happened, Zomato cancelled my order and took the payment and ensnared me that I will receive the refund within 5-7 days. You people rob customers hard earn money which is illegal. The furious customers tried to seek help from customer service and the level of customer service you people provide is beyond anyone’s imagination. Your staffs are not well trained, copy paste and keeps on repeating the same thing to frustrate the customers more, to reply the each query they takes more then 5 minutes, customers can not escalate the issue to managers as they don’t have the managers or supervisors. I don’t care anymore about the refund now because am deleting this application and I would never recommend anyone Zomato because you guys are pathetic; however, I will take this to social media.

I ordered a dish around 10;46 at night they delivered the dish around 11:20 pm but when i opened the box i was shocked it was charcoal black colored dish was there , smelly ,yuuk ,
I was not able to eat the same so i quickly contacted the support and inplace of solving my problem they offered me the coupon and wallet balance , they treated me like i am begger 😡. THEN i ordered them to refund complete amount to my payment mode ie. PAYTM then they refused to do so and asker that they will offer only coupon and zomato wallet balance. I asked executive to connect me to his floor supervisor or manager but he didnt and disconnected the chat , again i tried but the response was same.
Seeing that dish it was clear that they dont check whether the seller has food safety licence or not they are just doing business they dont give bother whether you can suffer with food poisoning or any other illness they are just seeing their profit, i an going to complain against zomato to FSSAI, and i request you to please DO NOT EAT FOOD ORDERED ON ZOMATO, if some one wants i can send pics of my recent order, i am pretty sure some of you will vomit to see what they sent me. I have shared the same with ZOMATO , but i think they are blind enough to see what they have delivered.

These ppl do not have ethics of working, chat ppl don’t respond, their Sr. Executive wannabe’s impersonating to be Manager or a Team Lead, they contradict with their colleagues and policy, they accept their mistake but will not resolve the problem, if the delivered food is not in the condition to be consumed because of their delay, they would blame the restaurant but will not speak to the restaurant for solution instead will get stubborn and will impose their ill-logical decision “customer paid, non- consumable food delivered, refund will not be provides” so eventually customer it in loss+loss( customer already shared all the images, screenshot of their non-responsive chat team, but they start getting rude, start making their own policy and will name it k these are internal policy and if the customer asks the policy they will not share it and after that their social media team and their customer escalation team will try to avoid the customer and most importantly, if customer ask the wannbe Sr to transfer to his Sr or TL they would straight away say NO and will force you to accept their term’d decision on customer if customer do not accept them they will eventually disconnect the call without seeking permission from the customer, well this is how their wannabe Sr’s work and handle a customer and their problem.

I have been using Zomato for years now and currently a gold member too. Since the time I have started using it except for their own delivery service nothing else has improved. Infact I would rather say that their services are becoming more pathetic day by day.
Firstly lack of coordination with hotels and extremely delayed service to consumers. I have faced some or the other issues because of the restaurants. I understand when its the restaurants’ mistake and when its the executives’. But I have come across 3 such instances in past 10 days and the executives service remain the same. They don’t actually read your problems with orders properly too and then make assumptions on their own and act accordingly. I actually had to repeat my issue twice to that executive. Their attitude is absolutely casual towards your issues. In the middle of the conversation they will ask you to wait and then directly reply after 20-30mins. Even after that much time they won’t give you a satisfactory solution. If they provide one it is so late that you actually need to compromise with your food and have what is delivered to you. I’m done with their fake promises of not repeating the same mistakes and their stupid apologies which don’t mean actually. Its high time that people come to know about your pathetic services worldwide.

I ordered for some Food through Zomato and paid in advance. Somehow they were unable to deliver me and when I checked with them in about 20 minutes, they sent me a message saying that they cannot initiate a refund because apparently it could not be delivered as my number was not reachable. First of all I ask these Zomato guys as to why did they need to call me when my address was already there with them. In just half an hour they were able to cancel the order and very easily take my money and said that your money is non refundable and they cannot pay me my money nor re-deliver.
This is a clear cut case of extortion by these so called Unicorns Zomato and their high handed ness
Through this post I request all people to be aware that Zomato is just there in the market to loot your hard earned money and that if you pay in advance you should be ready that it can go to them without you getting consideration for which you paid them.
Also Zomato has no clue as to where did the food go? Was it eaten away by the Delivery guy or simply thrown away? Quite possible that the food could have been returned to the outlet for yet another delivery. God save people from such policies of so called Unicorns, if by looting people they have become Unicorns of the world then we are better off not been so rich.

Guys plz don’t order from zomato..these ppl r fraud. If u order food amt more then 750rs they will not allow cod and once u make the payment they will appoint any random illiterate person who will not even come to ur place and cancel ur order saying there was no one at ur place or ur contact number was not connecting.. they will give u any random nonsense reason and digest ur money... this app is ment for fraud. This same thing has happen to me once they told that I couldn’t accept the parcel Coz no one was there at home which is absolutely wrong.. why will I order and make payment if I am not at home and next they say they couldn’t connect to my number.. but if they r genuine they had my address and payment, they could have come directly to my place if they couldn’t get through my number. And then when I complain. first of all they do not have any calling support and they gave me an email id to write my complaint and assured me that they will resolve my issue.. but nothing happened. They told once u make order and then if u cancel it, u ll b charge equal amt to ur order but Boss I never made any cancellation. It was ur delivery person who did cancellation for no reason. They do this purposely. Such a fraud people they are. They have appointed all fraud and illiterate staff who not even take responsibility for any of their mismanagement.

I had cancelled my order within seconds after placing it but then zomato charge me cancellation amount of full bill, which includes deliver charge also. If the food was not prepared then how can you charge cancellation fee, the food was not delivered then how can you charge delivery charge. This means everyone has to be fooled or looted by you guys, because this can happen to anyone. If i had cancelled order after the delivery boy was at my place then i can understand that you can charge cancellation fee but i had cancelled it within seconds. This is like fooling and looting people, just because you are a big company then you can do whatever you wants to do this is wrong. And i will not use zomato and also tell friends, family, my colleagues about this bad policy of yours and suggest them to not use zomato. I will rate it zero. I used to be an avid user of zomato but I just had the most unacceptable and infuriating experience.
I made a late order for dinner at 11:45pm from a place called The Burger Club. Checked and saw that my order was confirmed and was being prepared. But after more than an hour from the estimated delivery time of no contact whatsoever from the restaurant or zomato, I called the restaurant to check on my order and was told that there was no rider assigned just to my order and that I should call Zomato which I could only make contact through delayed chat. And after two hours I receive a response that my order is being cancelled making is even more inconvenient as I already paid through my debit card and refund would take another 5-7 days. And as a condescending “apology” I’m given 39 rupees credit on my zomato account. I do not remember having bought any food worth 39rs from zomato or any other food services nor have I come across any acceptably good food for that amount. I had to make another order from a different delivery agency and eat my dinner at 2am at night or do I put it as morning.
My order could’ve simply been cancelled or unaccepted in the first place if there were issues but I had to waste hours checking on my order and also go through an inconvenience of the refund which will take days.

The customer care is the worst that I have seen in any platform. I have ordered a pizza in Dominos near my home. The order placed to some other Dominos which is 15kms away. I have placed this order at midnight 1. I have been trying to contact both Zomato and Dominos to track my delivery status. Both of them have no answer and both of them are trying to put the fault on each other. Dominos very clearly told me that they can’t cancel the order nor deliver the Pizza because I have placed the order through Zomato and they can’t deliver due to the distance. I put the same across the customer service chat that they can’t communicate with Dominos and their superiors will get in touch with me in 2-3 days. They told me
1) They can’t contact Dominos
2) They don’t know the status of the delivery
3) They can’t cancel the order or Refund my money.
All this torture happened from ZOMATO side only then why don’t you resolve this issue, are you trying to milk money from customers and invest in your advertising’s in social media. What the hell is Happening in Zomato.

I ordered food on Wah ji Wah. Delivery boy said that he was not supposed to deliver at home. Zomato does not provide home delivery. Customers have to collect food from delivery boys. He stopped his bike somewhere far from my place and then asked me to collect my food. I somehow requested him to come to me place because I was not wearing any sleepers. While delivering food he said, “Why the hell did you not come out? I was waiting for you there because my location ended over there.” He was taking my food back. He never wanted to deliver. I requested him to give me the food. That was very horrible experience. I noticed one more thing that packing tape that Zamoto used , belonged to Food Panda. I ordered via Zamoto, but advertising Food Panda. Quite strange.
Anyway, that was very horrible experience with their delivery boy. I paid for my food, then I had to request delivery boy to give me my food. Delivery boys from Zamato will threaten you if you don’t go to their location. I have clearly mentioned my address, all companies deliver at my place. Even that delivery boy also, but he never wanted because his point was that Zamoto paid him for location, not home delivery. That was pathetic, and horrible experience. All neighbours were looking at us, and later all discussed this that Zamoto services are very bad.

This is regarding my first order using zomato app. I was completely disappointed by how customer service respond. They are just copy and pasting the standard formats from last two days.. they don't don't even review the transactions clearly and respond to you.. it's useless to write an email or have a conversation over a chat with zomato. I had ordered the food before two days using zomato app and paid the amount via online transaction. The hotel guy called me and said that zomato delivery boy will be unable to deliver the food as the distance is very long. The hotel had to not accept the order at first place before confirming where delivery is possible or not. Because of the issue I asked hotel to cancel the order. They did even mentioned that I will not get refund back. This was the issue from hotel and delivery guy why I didn't got the refund. Zomato app is showing that I was unavailable to receive the call and location was not mentioned where as I received 4 call 2 from hotel and 2 from call centre for the same and I had mentioned the address in detail at the time of placing an order. The email service is stupid they did not responded any one email correctly to me. This is bad and because of that I am writing this review.

Hello team. Had a pleasant experience so far with zomato. But lately with the SUN50 offers running I ordered few food items and was very excited to receive the order. After a wait of more than 45 mins I receive a call to state that the restaurant is closed and it’s been a month. At the very first place when it was closed why did u even list the restaurant and even after getting a call from the customer care zomato app send me notifications to state that food is on the way and delivery guy has picked up my order. Wah how great. And even till date it still shows that the order is on the way. Zomato developer team or whosoever its concerned please list restaurants only which are upend and running and shut down restaurants and loot the hard earned money of people. And it’s such a pleasant surprise that there is no customer support except for the chat session where I need to wait for so so long for someone to reply. Hope at least now you don’t play up with customers money and refund it.

I had spoken to someone on zomato chat about whether the Gold membership could be used in a different country before I made the purchase and it was communicated to me that it is. I knew it was too good to be true so I had quite a lengthy conversation with that person where he/she clarified extensively that it is possible even telling me that the Indian one is cheaper than the UAE one. After I made the purchase I noticed this was not the case as when I change location to UAE it says I've to buy it again so I contacted Zomato chat where now this whole previous conversation had been removed I don't understand how, obviously something really shady is going on. This time it was communicated to me that the point about the memberships being country specific is mentioned in the detailed terms and conditions but when I checked it definitely isnt maybe there is some hidden clause which I don't understand why it is missing from the detailed T&C in the first place. When I mentioned this to them they changed what they said to saying that the T&C is different for different countries so either the zomato chat people are seriously uneducated about zomato or something very shady is going on.
