Missing some core features

1. Individual download of track is not possible. Only playlist can be downloaded for pro version (I have paid for it !!!!)

2. Can’t download when app is in background. Seriously? Who wants to keep the app open in foreground when kept for download???

3. Hashtag search doesn’t work

4. Jam feature or group play like in Spotify is not available

5. TV version UI is horrible and needs lots of improvement

Loving the Nice Trance Vibes — Great App With Room to Improve

I’ve been enjoying the SoundCloud app a lot, especially the nice trance tracks that keep playing on my feed. The music discovery is smooth, and the app does a great job recommending artists and mixes that match my mood.

However, based on my listening so far, there are a few things that could be improved. The app could personalize recommendations even better, especially when I listen to long trance or electronic sets. A smarter algorithm for continuous playback would make the experience even smoother. Also, sometimes the loading is a bit slow, and improving performance would help during long listening sessions.

SoundCloud is an absolutely fantastic app to stream some amazing electronic dance music like techno and others. The playlists are excellently curated at least for techno and its sub genres. The only drawback with SoundCloud is that some of its songs are not available in all regions or countries. But other than that it’s a fantastic app if you’re an EDM lover.

The song options is good in my opinion but the app is very buggy

This is app is good ig but it’s very buggy as listening the background is pretty buggy cuz whenever I do that the song either cuts and doesn’t play unless I go to the app and pick another song which is inconvenient and whenever choosing a song then reopening the app it just shows another song but it plays the audio of the song that I chose. Algorithm is very dumb and the ui is not organised

Hey, dear friends this is a good app to listion music . And its decent app but in down side the music you find is only popular and viral songs while the local music is very hard to find even people upload the track with weird name(don’t use the original name) some time i reach songs but i can’t find them but many time i found same tracks which is named on the person own name thats why its very hard to find new or unpopular songs and sometime you search and the result it in 5 typs of same songs like slow version base boosted bhut i don’t want to listion this stupid things make the other gurnera

Second the algorithm of this app is very dumb it because it always play only those songs which i listions regulary it could not understand my taste and did not try to play new songs which were similar to those which i listion regularly

I have been using the application for over 12 years maybe. Never have I ever found an app that is more better in quality, user interface, delivery, or constantly evolving with change but still keeps the very original interface intact.

The only thing that would be a con is it becomes difficult sometimes to find the original track.

Covers by some artist are better sometimes.

Soundcloud needs to evolve to stay in the game

Soundcloud is one of its kind and I like its app and website with easy controls and fluid surfing. But the feature it lacks is the ability to play at 1.5x and 2x which is essential listening for various podcasts. Soundcloud is not just used for music, people also use it for podcast. I prefer this app for podcasts because it doesn’t shove recommendations down your throat like other podcast apps. Getting a 2x option will be a win win and great evolution for soundcloud too. Keep up the good work.

Great place to startup music careers!!! Just some missing stuff

As a beginner it’s been 3 years since I had a soundcloud, and nowadays I’m being active enough People must try the music of upcoming artists and must have this app downloaded for it, would be very grateful.....

Infact multiple artists are active on Soundcloud trying to boost their music

Also there’s a lot of slowed tracks and edits which the community loves.

The only thing missing here is a constant volume…there is no audio normalisation

Multiple uploads have various volumes which leads to irregular volume levels

This feels irritating to be honest and a feature must be added for this…

Also speed changing features for podcasts and stuff…

Audio usually takes time to buffer on a slower internet, so I expect better cache memory usage for pre buffering the upcoming track while one is playing like how it works on other music services.

I also hope Soundcloud plus comes to India ASAP…and some tracks aren’t available in the country? Why?

Ad after every song.

I’ve been using SoundCloud for a really long time. Recently however the number of ads have become intolerable. I completely understand that free apps use such methods to generate revenue, however there is a limit.

An advertisement after every single song is simply aggravating.

I really hope to see a change, otherwise I cant help but switch to a different application with lesser ads.

App keeps lagging and crashing

I have been using soundcloud for more than 5 years and it was probably the best app for discovering new musics and artist and im sure it still is, however i have been facing serious lags/ issues with phone application- for instance- signing in takes a very long time from email , it was so smooth before. App keeps crashing a lot and takes decade to scroll to the bottom have tried updating multiple times but its of no use. I repeatedly try to load but it then to loads out to nowhere.

Filled with bugs

Here are a couple of imminent problems as reported by other reviewers but SoundCloud doesn’t seem to care or address.

1. Liked tracks actually don’t get liked. Despite pressing the liked button and the track indicating a orange heart symbol, the tracks actually don’t show up on my liked page.

2. Loading Error, doesn’t refresh: perhaps the most reported bug in the app is the annoying loading error. The landing page doesn’t load or refresh the page despite hitting on refresh. Even dragging it down to cause it bring the spinning circle doesn’t do anything. It simply doesn’t work when you need it, and very randomly will get refreshed. — this happens across all pages including the Stream page.

3. Existing tracks don’t play: suppose you try to play a track from the Stream page, it doesn’t play it whatsoever. It’ll load the initial few seconds and then be stuck in perpetuity trying to stream it.

Honestly this app is unusable, and not worthy of being on your phone. The developers clearly don’t care enough to address these issues since this has been going for a while now. Shame because it’s direct competitor, Mixcloud is rather timely at ensuring all bugs are addressed correctly. My suggestion, uninstall this and move to Mixcloud.

Very slow not letting me log in

recently my soundcloud has been very slow i’m unable to play any songs or search up anything as it keeps saying error. I decided to try deleting and reinstalling the app because in the past that has helped with the same issue but this time it won’t let me log into my account. everytime i click “done” after entering my email and password it never goes through. i tried this on my other devices as well and different internet connections but it still doesn’t work. please look into as it is an app i need and use daily! Network error always

I’ve been using soundcloud for so long that I fell in love with it . But recently Whenever I open the app it shows network error even if I have good internet connection. After trying many times the app opens . When I try to shuffle play any playlist it doesn’t work. It’s really frustrating to experience that in one of my favorite apps. I have been using soundcloud services since 2014 and I am totally obsessed but lately past year and so I have been facing issues saying “Loading error” and it’s constant since!

SoundCloud Phone application on iPhone 7

Hi,

I’ve been using the SoundCloud app for more than 5 years and it was probably the best music app out there and I’m sure it still is, however I’ve been facing some serious lags/issues with the phone application - for instance: singing in issue, it takes a decade to sign in through your email and it was so smooth before.

Second, the app has started crashing a lot plus the song always show a loading error as soon you want to play anything, after I repeatedly try and play it, somehow it then manages to load out of nowhere.

We really need an update for this app!! And immediately!!! SoundCloud developers please look into it. I’m using an iPhone 7 - iOS 13.7 - latest.

Stopped Working Suddenly

I love this app so much, id give it 5 stars but today when i opened my app it says something went wrong and started showing the sign in page,i signed in and it still says something went wrong so i opened the soundcloud website and it says that the webpage is not available...nothing seems to work😭...pls tell me what to do , I reinstalled it but still says the same thing...pls help me..i cant live without this app😭😭😭..what should i do?...please respond if u see this😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Loved it earlier now hated it

I mean no remix button and how can i make queue of song and if i made one how can i see my queue no visibility as well cant see the no. Of comments and likes on tracks as we play them and this app was awesome before this update

I have a humble request either tell me where can i find these features or add these old features or else i am sorry but i have to switch to a new streaming station

Best for music lovers

I have tried many music apps but this is the only one that I wanted to review. This app is user friendly, have multiple music choices, can play in background and allows us to listen offline. Extra points for removing the annoying ads. Best music app!

Loading error

Hello,

I always update the app but the LOADING ERROR is still a MASSIVE PROBLEM. It works fine for like 1 hour after updating the app and after that it’s showing “loading error”. Please help! I really really love SoundCloud but now it’s not working properly. That’s a shame☹️.

Important Note Please Read

I love listening to music specially Electronic & I has been using soundcloud from past 3-4 years but from few months this app is not working properly like sometime it takes long time to play music even though my internet connection is good it shows retry page. I love Soundcloud so please resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Best Music App out there

I have been using soundcloud as my main music app from past 6 years or more..

I love that it gives everyone to know what I am listening

You can share your playlist

And many of the amazing songs are only in the soundcloud app and nowhere else, which makes me stick to this app

Loading Error and No Original songs

Nowadays (start of December 18) it is showing error to load songs from my playlist. There are lots of my favourite songs but I'm unable to play them.

Freezing issue

I’m a ling time user of soundcloud and never encountered any freezing or lagging with in the app. I’ve recently switched to the latest flagship of iPhone and I really fee bad to say I’m displeased with the app interface hope this could br fixed at the earliest as I can no longer use the app way I used to

Give playlist of on going songs and upnext

A music app always need to have a playlist as well as the list of up coming songs . Wee need to change the songs so many time to listen good stuff . Hope you also make songs blue ticked or marked which are orginal . All I need is just a playlist of upcoming songs with suffle repeat option added to that

Things to improve

Original tracks are hard to find please solve this problem so that original tracks shoud be found easily and one more big problem arise is when internet is off the tracks not load please solve this problem this is a big problem as sometimes there is network problems nd tracks not starts there should be offline playlist so that tracks can be downloaded and listen afterwards without internet this is a humble request

Original tracks are too difficult to find

You guys should introduce a verification button so that an original track can be verified and on searching for a song this verified track should be the first suggestion.

Now when we search for a song its too difficult to find the original one, and there are too many annoying covers from every one!

Kindly look into it!
