Description
The WordWeb English dictionary and thesaurus: fast searching, spelling suggestions, definitions, usage examples, synonyms, related words - and no adverts. An offline audio version is available separately.
The comprehensive WordWeb dictionary database includes:
- 285,000 words, phrases and derived forms
- 225,000 word sense definitions
- 70,000 usage examples
- 85,000 text pronunciations

- N. American, British, Australian and international English
A version with 70,000 professionally recorded audio pronunciations is available as a separate product.
The intelligent word entry suggests possible correct spellings as you type, as well as listing words that sound the same or are often confused.

Thank you so much for this free dictionary !
It’s up-to-date. It covers all kinds of words across all subjects like even technical words in science or geography which are usually skipped in an Oxford dictionary and the best part is we can refer to Wikipedia or other apps also for reference through this dictionary app.
I regularly use it and it has helped me so much in my studies as well as my general daily life. I highly recommend it to everybody.

First of all, thank you for a free app that is so good. The Interface is very simple yet perfect for a dictionary. I found 99% words which I looked for. The most Important thing is the app is completely Ad-free and Infact there is not even option for Incoming Notifications. The Search option is so so handy to find the Exact Word. The only thing which is missing is WORD OF THE DAY option. Rest it is absolutely Inch-Perfect. Thank you so so much 👍👍

I read news online in safari. To look at meaning i should close safari, open wordweb and search (ofcourse i can use lookup funtion in ios but it cannot show recent search history). So please add ‘define’ function in share sheet, so it will make my task easier.

This is The Best dictionary app in the app store.
Only thing missing is bookmark icon.
It would be time saving and more convenient if the bookmark tab directly appears on the page where meaning appears.
Instead of going to options and then bookmarking, you could add just a star icon for bookmark in the top row beside search icon.

It already being a wonderful app. But I request you to please add one more feature like google dictionary extension on chrome, so that by double clicking on any word the meaning should pop up out instantly while reading the PDF.
