The recent reblog update is one of the worst things to happen to the app. Leaving a review here because they don’t allow feedback anymore, refusing to respond to comments, and have given a generic reply along side a note saying “we might take your suggestions into consideration”. If not the users, who are you even making the app for???!

I feel like the app has been getting progressively bad and now the new reblogs update is just the cherry on top (derogatory). I understand wanting rebloggers to get credit but to split the notes of the main post? whose idea was this? is this how we become the new pdf? it seems that using the feedback form doesn't do anything so I'm leaving this here

Best social media app ever!!
After Pinterest being killed by ai, this is the closest we have to a true social media euphoria. It’s the embodiment of what social media was supposed to be. I’ve added one star less for the amount of ads but I’d prefer this app over any other social media platform out there. Truly connects people with art and artists and fans with fandoms. 10/10 would recommend.

Best social medium ever. I absolutely love the team.
This app retains our old posts so that you can take a dive down the memory lane whenever you want to! It has a tag/topic follow mechanism that *actually* works. The new dashboard tabs are amazing and I love that there’s a choronological ordered feed. It’s a native app. I love the implementation of multiple blogs. There’s also an audio-file and SoundCloud support. And above all, the company is still here for us even though it’s COSTING Automattic instead of making them money. We have so much to be thankful for.
But of course it’s not a five-star app. There are also the horrors. The adult-stuff ban has taken a LOT of the life away from the app. I often have to go back to the place I was scrolling at because while multitasking the app sometimes restarts. They removed my beloved post button in the middle and I hate the overlay post button.

It’s a beautiful app
It’s not as busy as Instagram. That makes it easy on the eyes and on the brain. I think the algorithm is not trying to sell you anything. Of course there is this occasional nude picture post but I guess that’s okay since we are all adults here. I think it will get better as time goes provided they don’t get greedy like Instagram.

Tag visibility
Usually it happens very rare but for the last two days my posts aren’t visible in the tags. It is very frustrating to say the least. Please fix this up cause otherwise there’s no point of tagging if it ain’t reaching the intended audience.

The real source of art
I don’t usually rate apps but when it came to Tumblr I could not stop myself from writing a fair review. I really dig the Internet to find strange wierd images that might inspire me or click something within me which will makes think. There are so many pages on tumblr that I have found and I keep going back to. If you are from the Design/art/creative files then it’s a really good space to hang around. And it’s not like Instagram where people just post things about them selves. Tumblr also has a way to teach you things that you are really into.

using the app on ios and with the latest update the font size on the app as a whole seems to have decreased? changing my device font size settings doesn’t seem to help lol please i just want to be able to read long text-posts without straining my already poor vision so give us setting options to increase font-size in-app
update: issue is resolved now, thank you! checked by toggling my device’s dynamic text settings and while the text size on tumblr doesn’t increase all the way to the maximum possible, reading is still more comfortable and accessible than when i first updated the app (also not sure why you had to translate my review before replying to it tho—i wrote in english. must be an app store issue this time lol)

a very soothing app
reading posts on tumblr is way better, meaningful and quieter than on other social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter or even Facebook. I always scroll on tumblr whenever I’m feeling rushed or whenever I want to relax. Excellent idea and I love the type of creators that are active on tumblr, and it is overall a very underrated site.

Amazing app
I often use this to read headcanon and stuff and I’m never disappointed, the only time I do get a little annoyed is when it freezes, often I would be reading a blog and it won’t scroll for sometime. Then I will have to open the app again and it’s kinda stressful

Post quality dropped suddenly
I really like using Tumblr I have been posting a lot since a while now. I would give 5 stars but suddenly a few weeks ago the post quality dropped and now all posts only on my phone are kind of pixelated. Crashing too frequently
Tumblr has been and is my favourite social app. I prefer it over insta, fb and Reddit. Unfortunately from yesterday I’m having a really bad experience with Tumblr. I installed the latest update and the app keeps crashing after using it for like 1-2 minutes. This problem didn’t occur before updating. I guess there is a bug in latest update. I hope the team resolves the issue. I’m using the app on iphone 7 plus. If my query is solved I’ll be delighted to give this wonderful app a 5 star.

Suggestions are a not welcome
Forcefully adding a ‘feature’ is never appreciated. On the app there seems to be no way to turn of suggested blogs. Now 30% of my feed is suggestions. I’ve tirelessly marked all suggestions as ‘I don’t like this’ but it seems those are infinite. My app usage has drastically reduced because of this annoying feature. Please at least let us have an option to disable it. Oh wait those accounts probably pay you to be suggested. Solution: make a separate suggested or explore page where those show?

Low resolution images
can you please allow us to see the high resolution pictures when we tap the images. Low resolution images spoil the app. Especially as I like to see creative authors and they mostly post directly on tumblr. I am able to see the high res pictures when I use tumblr on chrome on mobile.

Why do you have to make it worse?
Tumblr app was so good for so many months and i totally regret getting this update. I absolutely hate it. The notifications dont show or refresh. If i click on profile while being on the profile earlier it used to scroll to the top, it doesnt anymore. The posts dont load. The messages dont load. The gif and photo quality has reduced. Updates are supposed to make the app better not worse.

Honestly , a person like me opening up and position opinions was unfathomed fantasy , a luxury I couldn’t afford but I found a community where I was supported and had fun. I love this app, everything is nice and fine but I have one issue I can’t see my messages anymore, it always says talk to a Tumblr and I can’t see any conversations..please fix that..rest everything is pretty good..also if you gues could make the volume icon smaller on top like in Instagram or Snapchat while watching a video at least. Important Query
Dear Developers,
Tumblr has never failed to excite me whenever I’ve felt low. But of late, whenever there’s a multitude of Tumblr notifications waiting to be opened up, after the first post has been opened up, the remaining posts, when clicked, do not open up directly. You have to click on a second banner at the bottom of the screen. I have taken a screenshot but am unable to attach it.
Kindly make a note of this and get back asap!
