I have a credit card from IDFC and I have got some really frustrating experience during the - Outstanding Due settlement with Mobile app.
There has been a technical issue with this feature since the day I first got it (6-8 months now).
Not sure if the tech is bad or it is due to the fact that I am not a Savings account holder with the Bank. If it is the later then IDFC (a brand I trusted) is going to lose some goodwill for sure.
Suggestion : do not avail credit card from this bank if you do not have a savings account, or better still just don’t get a credit card at all - if you intend to use mobile banking to settle dues.

Hi Team, Idfc mobile app used to have the best ui which looked futuristic till now. I just downloaded the latest update and the entire ui has been changed. The new UI looks so normal , similar to Canara bank UI.

I am utterly disappointed with the experience I've had with Reliance Digital's purchase process and IDFC Bank's financing service. When I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Reliance Digital at Aggarwal Mall in East Delhi, they lured me with a deal: a discount if I chose the EMI option, which would be canceled if I paid in cash. I agreed to their terms and opted to finance through Bajaj Finance. However, my ordeal began when they introduced me to an IDFC representative named Mr. Vimal. He promised that the 4th EMI would be reversed as part of the discount, convincing me to finance through IDFC Bank. To my dismay, when I contacted IDFC Bank, they started providing excuses and were unwilling to honor the promise Mr. Vimal had made. This experience has left me thoroughly frustrated and dissatisfied. I strongly advise against purchasing any products from Reliance Digital and caution against financing through IDFC Bank based on my disturbing encounter. Such deceptive practices and unfulfilled commitments are completely unacceptable.

This bank is not good I opened online account and after 6 months of banking they have blocked all my funds. They’re advising me to come to home branch for a physical verification but why I should travel to 1700KM on all my own expanse. I am using HDFC and IDFC. I have experienced ICICI and Kotak in past. And my friends have various other bank applications.
If you compare any bank's app with IDFC you can quickly feel the simplicity of IDFC bank. This is best designed banking app.
Though there are 2 serious issues, SGB certificate and FD certificate download always messes up and there is data security issue, as you can get other users certificate (this is actually a serious issue, which needs urgent fix). I shared them this issue multiple times but they haven't fixed it, and so I do not use it for investment purposes.

It says technical issue, cannot login. Giving this information because the app support section also leads to website and customers should not be expected to work hard for bug reporting. Also low rating for bloating up the app and forgetting basic performance in the process. A big net banking transaction failed and the support call button takes me to a tiresome IVR where all options are useless for asking me to give me my own money. Why should I keep 25k average balance when you don’t even deliver on the basics??

App working very slow from July / August 2022 I guess after u improved UI and other option in app. While opening the app it taking so much time to open home page and showing loading Img much time. I think getting data late from server pls check and fix it asap. Bcz I regularly use this app for transactions. I just feel like so much irritation some times while it loading late.

Why I can’t use 3 accounts in the same app

I have 3 idfcfirst bank accounts, 2 savings and 1 current accounts with different names and mobile number. When I logged in with one account and if I want to use another account then there is no option to logout completely from one account and login again with another account. Can you guys look at hdfc bank mobile app or any other private bank mobile app, everyone has that feature.
Kindly update the same.

Hello sir im brahmateja and im having credit card in idfc first bank. So i will regularly use this app to track my transactions. Regarding review abt this app im quiet dissatisfactory in this issue. When i try to login to ur app the process is not smooth. I should close and open 2-3 times to get home screen of ur app properly. If i click on transactions list suddenly a dialogue box appears saying something like its a technical issue please try after some time. Im vexed with this app. I request you to update ths app to ios 15.5 by doing all the bug fixes.

Overall it’s a nice app which caters to all your banking needs. Just one feedback, when the app is opened, the balance flashes in big fonts, which is good in private places, but when in public places like office, outdoors, etc, first I have thing I do is to hide the display so that no one sees my bank balance. It would be great if you could provide some provision to hide it, and if not possible please at-least subdue it. Thank you

Since January I am trying to close my credit account which was creating in January itself, as the CC couldn’t do 3 transactions I tried I wanted to close it and they keep on closing tickets (via call, app, email) tried everything, however, my account is still open showing a decline in my credit score due to their “no resolution”. I am not even using the card, told me the account is closed but as I checked it is still open! I’ll surely recommend people NOT TO GET TRAPPED!

How can be this bank credit card be such a scam.. Worst credit card service worst application and pathetic backend team you have please make a note of this. Its been 3 days I have sent an email but there is no response yet. As I have no hopes from this bank I tried to make a payment from last 2 days through app but great technology they use the payment page was not loading since last 2 days in-fact I tried doing the same today since morning as it was just loading and now all of sudden 3000 rupees increases after 12:00 am!! Seriously i will have to pay for your system issue..
Have some shame on looting people this way
This is not how you do business..
As I won’t be paying that amount I will also file a complaint against the same if not rectified at the earliest..

These IDFC are Flipkart pay later lending people and I clear all the dues on time still in their system no one is there to update it unnecessarily they made my account block and I couldn’t use flipkart pay later option and when I check both of them flipkart and idfc customer care support both are blaming on each other asking us to call one on them finally no one is ready to resolve my issues and it is impacting in my cibil report and they not bothered about customers

Horrible website and the banking application too, many times the tabs dont work. Sometimes there servers are down. I have been using other banking application but I hardly see any downtime in them. But after they have upgraded their portal and mobile application it has became like a bird’s nest most if the time its down. Like now 1.49 am 1 st Nov both their portal and mobile banking application sites are down. First I thought it was issue for my user id only but then got confirmation from my wife’s account even it is down for her too.

The app’s UI is so simple and pretty much straight forward with no clutter and lag. The one thing I’ve noticed is that it worked so good on very low internet speeds while many apps failed to load. My only request is please make the Scan to pay option available on login screen itself or make it available atleast on the start page without scrolling down. That way one can use this over other UPI apps. I personally don’t prefer using third party apps but it makes me go that extra step to scan and pay while every other UPI apps places that function on top of everything.

The experience of new platform has been very good. Easy and simple to use. Infact, this is the reason I have opened my business account in IDFC. It’s easy to use both account in same login.
But one of the hiccup is, for transferring the funds between my own two accounts (which are Switchable in profile), I have to add beneficiary just as any other beneficiaries. (Unlike Axis mobile app, where they have very good integration)

Utterly disappointed with the IDFC Bank on the app and customer care. No way to connect, they don’t pick the phone for 30 minutes each executive who received the call after 5-10 minutes refused to take the call thus pushing me to waiting again. Trying for more than 2 days to put my complaint that my credit card not showing in the card section but looks like it is no men’s land. In the name of the technological advancement if this is the way to treat the customers. I am better off not doing any business with IDFC First Bank.

This is worst app of a bank I have ever used. Not even able to login forget about doing anything useful. The team is not able to resolve critical issues. Update - One of the developers shared a link to get my contact number but unfortunately that link is also failing due to technical issues. I got to hear today that my customer ID has been changed by the bank without informing me but worst part is I’m not able to login even with new customer id.
Update2 - it’s been almost a week now I shared my details with developer but still waiting for the call or response from them. Worst service even for the critical issues where customer is not able to login itself.

Update: I was asked to provide my mobile number by the developer team and obviously, I don’t want to. Fix it or forget it! I am done with IDFC First.
The previous version of the App was quick and smooth. This over designed App, asking users to tag every transaction so that the bank generate Analytics out of the user data, is over done and laggy. It has become a painful experience even to see the statement/ history for a week, with multiple clicks and extremely slow response. I am so disappointed with this update, I had high hopes on IDFC First and even became a shareholder of this bank, but now I really regret. Needless to say, the share price is also dropping daily, with dissatisfied customers moving to other private banks.

Poor handling of accounts. Bank wants to rep customers by charging them heavily.

I have my saving account in IDFC since last 4 years but never experienced this kind of mismanagement and mishandling of accounts. I have been charged multiple times this year and without any reason. Really don’t understand what is expected from customer? I have never been informed by bank about these charges before or after the transaction so it seems customer has been taken for granted here.

Great App but do not add credit card

The problem with new app it do not add credit card detail as you have debit card account with idfc first. For this you have to delete the app and reinstall the app with new customer id of credit card to get information for credit card and you will not get any information of debit account as customer id varrys.
So its every time delete and reinstall for using debit account and credit account differently.

This new application is quite good but some features seems to be broken which are implemented as per the FAQ in the app. For me viewing the debit card details in the app doesn't work as the view option (eye button) on the image of the debit card doesn't appear at all, due to which I had to switch back to the old app. Also adding billers (electricity biller in my case) doesn't work a times. Overall many small small usefull features and options are missing compared to the old app. Hope these all features will be optimised and bugs will be fixed so that I can switch to this new app again.

This is indeed a fresh and clutter free experience, compared to other banking apps which has random stuff thrown in on main screen. Some UX improvement feedback for design and dev team -
1. App logs in as soon as it launches, think of giving an option where customer HAS to select login before keying in MPIN or FaceID verification.
2. There are notifications visible below the bank balance card, either they should be visible only in the already present notifications area or can be dismissed from main screen. Right now they just scroll infinitely.
3. The account / balance info card doesn’t not get minimized into some meaning information or area. It’s just visible as a small square behind account number when scrolled vertically.
4. Icons can be more consistent and represent call to action, some icons and colored icons feel out of context. Example logout icon is power icon in more area, keep this and notifications icon common, so that it is visible across any tab. Users will mostly swipe off the app, instead of logging out.
5. The call facility under notifications can be better placed as a common or quick access icon like notifications, search etc.

Good points everyone knows, I'll highlight improvement areas:
- time taken after touch id authentication and actual page loading is wayyyyy too long. Not acceptable.
- Even browsing various options inside the app takes too much time as compared to other banking apps.
- I really wish you show total balance per row on the Transactions page, rather than just the transaction value.
- On Netbanking, the captcha $ucks big time. I mean 6 letter captcha consisting of uppercase and lowercase? Seriously? IMHO, a 4 digit lowercase only + numeric captcha would suffice.

First there is no credit card option and settings in the app or anywhere else if you have IDFC FIRST Bank Credit card. Ask to change mpin every 3-4 days. Gives error on every click like technical issues. Debit card purchase limit like domestic and international online, domestic and international pos, domestic and international contactless, domestic and international atm all have separate limit within 6 lakh total limit. Like other banks have only have limits on domestic and international and then separate sublimit on each like I can utilize full limit on each domestic online, offline, ATM, contactless each and full limit on international online, offline, ATM and contactless each.
