Last few updates are buggy
After the last free updates, the app drains too much battery and the app crashes frequently! Eats away a significant chunk of battery as background activity. Also opening room chat and trying to type freezes the app ui!

Everything converted to chat thread I can’t join live rooms hold the mic for 30 sec it’s a good idea but should be in live room if someone mic is on for 30 seconds others can unmute their mic and not allowing consecutive unmute mic like 3 times at a time is good every time a conversation is going on someone will come and interrupt the whole discussion and derail the topic but the update is very cumbersome

From Bad to Worse
The old version of the app already suffered a lot of issues from content discovery to respecting user preferences—for example the “show fewer rooms like this” did nothing since inception. If you tried to say put down some crappy shoot my shot rooms and hope they don’t pop up, it won’t do anything and you’ll continue seeing such rooms. Another example, if you visit a room and then scroll to another and another and then decide to return back to the first, chances are that the hallway is updated and you can no longer find that old room again.
Instead of fixing these issues, the CH team seems to have created new ones by moving to a far worse version of the app. Now the discovery is completely gone so you just have more compact vacuums which limits discussions further to your own circles. This is terrible and I’m sure CH is gonna lose more members over time.

The recent update of Clubhouse has basically just wind its experience. I have been using it since last two and half years on the I has made a lot of friends but now the app is just useless. You do not have followers. You do not have following you just have friends and it’s very difficult to find good people and when you add everyone to the friend list, you get unexpected messages on expected waves on you so that basically just ruined every thing so I would request all the Clubhouse should go back the weights it was and I know menu menu of people who will be ruining this experience on Do who will be miss using Clubhouse and a number of them leaving Clubhouse, and so have I.

It’s been so wonderful to have the house experience and conversion of clubs to houses .. so many clubs are yet to be seen as houses .. some feel the conversion will be automatic and some do not have an option to covert unless they get a prompt from CH

Unsafe spaces
Before I quit the app, have used it enough to know how unsafe it has become for women, non binaries and people from marginalised communities. The app has done nothing to make it a safe space and a free hand and open platform is given to individuals to spread misinformation, fake news, hate speech and fascism. After repeated complaints and almost a year of being on the app those same people continue to exist without their accounts being permanently pulled off the app.

Idea is good, execution can be better
Hi team,
While the idea is a good one and helps ppl connect well over a seamless platform there is good scope of improvement I see.
One of the biggest issues I feel is I ignore some groups and still I keep getting similar groups in my feed so that intelligence is missing, maybe a simpler way to deal with it would be give me a choice not just on topics but why I ignored a room, do I even want to see such rooms in my feed later? That’s not an option today.
Other thing, we May want to get into a room to check the ppl or various influencers there but there is no option to mute the discussion going on in the room , I need to reduce my phone volume to ignore the ongoing discussion.

Notification to my contacts
I had not setup up account fully and not given the permission to access my contacts and notify them that I have joined clubhouse but what the hell, I opened it again after a month and set it up and gave the permission as”don’t allow” access to contacts and it appears a month ago itself there are people from my contacts who have followed me !!! Which means they got the notification that I’m on clubhouse already!! This is really bad, didn’t expect this from clubhouse !

Suggestion to introduce night mode
I love this app! It is well made for sure. Only one thing that the app needs right now is an option to switch into night mode/dark mode. I, like many other users use Clubhouse at night after work to relax. The screen puts a strain on the eyes at night while streaming. Introducing a dark mode would be cherry on the cake! This app is super awesome but sometimes some people ask to become mods and remove previous mods for fun or try to hijack the room. I just want to say if it’s someone’s club and he/she is removed as a mod and someone hijacks their room, the admins of the club should have the power to end the room even if they are thrown in the audience. Suggestion for a new feature !
I want a private mode so bad. I have two main types of clients and half are in a more traditional/conservative leaning industry and the other half is in the cannabis industry. There are some cannabiz networking groups I want to join but won’t because people will see where I am and/or hop into the room not knowing what the room is about.
I also have some industry colleagues who keep jumping into rooms I’m leading and they try to dominate the conversation when I set myself up there to be the subject matter expert. Then they change the subject to talk shop and everyone leaves because they are boring the audience I was cultivating. I honestly want to unfollow everyone but without a proper room search I wouldn’t be able to find any rooms with no connections.
Plus, what if you just want to lurk in a guilty pleasure room and you don’t need your professional network knowing what you’re into? There’s tons of rooms I want to check out but I won’t because I don’t want my advertise that I’m in there.

Unable to play the sound in my speaker
Hi there, I’m using iPhone 11 and I’m unable to use my I Bluetooth speakers while playing on clubhouse. It works for everything else like Facebook, zoom etc so wondering if this is a missing feature. Would appreciate it if You could have a workaround for this issue. Bdw I’m using Boss Bluetooth speakers. Does it work with others like JBL?

Bug: Old icon showing up in thumbnail
When switching between apps, Clubhouse still shows the old icon in the thumbnail. Otherwise, I like the app and its aesthetics, but the discovery feature needs to improve. Like I know there are interesting rooms being held but I am not able to find them. All I see is rooms with horny people.

It’s a great application in every aspect , would have give a 5 star review in case if there was a option to hide the rooms in the hallway. I would be more than happy to give 5 star if I can create a club for my active community and user group. Time is money, and I don’t mind opting for a paid plan if that could let me create a club. I believe a lot of folks like me would expect the same. Besides these, great work guys👋🏻

Hypocrite
You can not create club.. cause you are not active.. you can not be active on app unless you have clubs in your language and your interest.. so we need to be hypocrites to be active in clubs we are NOT interested in.. and you don’t understand a thing! You can only create clubs if you are active user! You can not be an active user cause we don’t have clubs in our language.. this is an audio medium! We should be able to speak in our language!

Good start, but lots of rough edges
Good social platform. But there are few things that can improve.
1. The search results need to be ranked and sorted for relevance. This seems lacking. Or it could be that it’s still early days.
2. Not sure if it’s in the vision of this platform, but there could be a way to rate public speakers so we know to follow highly regarded speakers around.
3. Adding Instagram account in the profile is broken. It takes to a login page where it just sits blank.

A much needed social app.
There have been video, photo and text based social apps, but never an audio one. Now with the rise in podcasts, this is the way forward. It is to podcasts what Snapchat was to Instagram. Much more live, social and promotes two way communication.
