I have made a purchase of the yearly plan and I can see it under my subscriptions list in my iPhone settings . However when I open the app it still ask me to subscribe . Don't get me wrong. The content on Discovery+ is good. It has various topics covered through various shows. But the app feels like made by a beginner in coding. It doesn't give you download option! Who does that in 2022?? I have to STREAM everything!! On top of that it has poor history of syncing the videos in continue watching section. Quite often I have stopped halfway in an episode in hopes of being able to start right from where I stopped, only to find to my disappointment that I cannot start from the point I stopped at because the app failed to keep that thing in its memory. I have to start afresh QUITE A LOT OF TIMES AND THAT'S JUST EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT! There's an app called Ullu which basically streams soft p*rn, and even that app allows me to star watching from where I stopped AND has option to download episodes! Shame on you Discovery+, shame on you!

I bought the app few minute ago to watch the new series -“ sinauli”. The app is crashing on my iPad Pro 2020, I am unable to change the language of the videos, for that I had to download it in my mobile then only I can change the language. The settings logo given on the upper right side is not accessible by my iPad, that is the main issue and when I click on it the whole iPad hangs, the video is running but touch controls are completely lost. Looking at the content offered, I immediately subscribed to the annual plan and am loving each and every content! I’m hooked on to the app! Having used the iOS app, a few minor issues I would like for the team to address are:

1. The audio language- is there a way to set a default language? I prefer watching these in English but each time I play a new show, it randomly picks a new audio language. Gets annoying when you are watching episodes back to back and need to change language after each episode.

2. App for LG WebOS: a cherry on the cake would be to have a dedicated app for the WebOS platform. As of today, all leading OTT platforms have an app for WebOS. Discovery is the only one missing. Would be great to have it on there.

3. Mis-labelled content: I noticed a few episodes are mis labelled. See “How do they do it (S08,E17) as an example. There are many more shows that have a different content than the episode. Kindly address this.

4. Navigation- go back 1 page: while browsing tv shows within ‘Explore’, if we hit the back button, it should go back to display the tv shows. Instead the app takes you back to the channel selection instead of taking you one page back.

5. 4K/ HDR content: are there any content that are available on 4K? If so, can they be mentioned on the cover so it’s easier to identify?

All in all, this app has wonderful content but a few minor improvements can make it a better experience! Thank you!

Absolutely love the user interface and content however my one quip with the app is that I use a VPN for work and when I forget to the turn it off before I open the app it gives me an error that says the app is only available in India.. fair enough but after that if I turn it off the VPN and check again it still gives me the same error, please look into this!

EDIT: This issue is fixed, thank you so much the app is now perfect.

Although I would appreciate it if you could add the schedules of all the channels that you guys broadcast it would make it easier to plan when to watch :)

As much as I like the idea and ready to subscribe. This app has no way to Airplay or an app for Apple TV which makes me watch content only on my iPhone.

A huge let down. Waiting for a year since initial release. The product team not coming up with Apple Tv app or AirPlay support is mind blowing me.

Maybe the whole marketing and product team need to revisit the market and the devices penetration.

Is it at least on your plan guys? I already had a support person saying they will “forward it”. Nothing since.

Thank you for this wonderful app. I downloaded it immediately as soon as I came across it. Subscribed to the premium plan as well. Works perfectly on iPad Air 3. Only complaint is the absence of downloading option in the app. I would be watching shows while commuting and since I am going to watch them on iPad, which only works with wifi, I would always need internet to watch them. So, please provide the option of downloading episodes so that I can enjoy them offline.

You have good content, but airplay is deliberately blocked. Create an app for AppleTv then remove Airplay if you want.

Edit: 6 updates down the line, after lots of promises about passing the info to technology team, Discovery still did not bother to update Airplay or bring Apple Tv support. Believe me, you are taking money from us and providing us bad service.

App have potential to be ‘Netflix of wild life’. Need to add much more videos to the library. Couldn’t find Blue Planet, it could be one stop for all David Attenborough documentaries which will bring much more audience IMO. Subtitles should be added. Your app is awesome as it have so many content which I loved but the main problem is that it have very limited payment options to buy premium subscription. I can’t able to buy the premium subscription as I have Rupay card only and your app only accepts Visa, MasterCard. Include more payment methods like Rupay, UPI, Payment wallets etc.

My whole family including my 10 year old son love to watch shows we love as per our convince on discovery plus app. We like to watch the same on our Samsung tv. But, our this favourite app is unfortunately not available on Samsung tv. Also, I’m not able to cast it on Samsung tv through my iPhone using AirPlay.

Kindly, do the needful. We eagerly awaiting watching app on our tv.

First upon thanks to discovery for bringing this app in india.

The app works fine on wifi network but it is not working on mobile network. For cross check I have tried other streaming app with mobile network and it works fine but only discovery+ is not working. It only shows loading tiles.

Please fix this issue asap otherwise app is very good.

I bought the premium version of this to watch shows with my family. They'd been recommended to us and we'd heard great praise about them. However where all other streaming apps allow you to stream shows to smart tv's or my apple tv this app just does not. I hope that you can introduce airplay to it. Soon. Thank you

Please list your Discovery Plus streaming app on the Apple TV App Store so that it can be downloaded on my Apple TV and can be played from there like all other OTT platforms.

Discovery plus app has no sense until we watch this beautifully created content on big screen like smart tv. These show are hopefully not made to be watched over mobile phone’s tiny screens. I cant even mirror my phone to smart tv, this app is not availble on smart tv, i can not watch ot online, what other way i can try. This is the biggest disappointment about discovery. Please sort this issue or help if there is any other way.

I purchased their premium services seeing they replying to many asked queries on when they will be on fire stick, and everytime they replied very soon, anytime now etc etc. However, it has been a while now and not sure when they’ll be on other platform like fire stick, Chromecast etc! In the phase of lockdown they aren’t there, not sure they’ll ever be there.

As much as I appreciate this app, cast support and offline download are a few things which would be cherry on top. Are we also planning to bring tv apps for webos ? I have an lg webos tv and would love to watch discovery on a bigger screen. Cant stream from iOS to my log tv.

This app is just fabulous and covers all the shows on discovery networks but the only thing missing is you can’t watch it on tv through chrome cast yet. I wish new feature is added soon else worth 5 star.

Kindly fix the issue.

Since problem is not resolved in last 15-20 days and no any appropriate response received from developer, should i go to consumer court to file a case on poor service and support?

I am a fan of discovery for so many years and I immediately took annual subscription once I know the app is available. As excited am to spend my whole time binge watching lot of amazing shows available in the app I am not feeling to use it. It is only available in Apple store and google play and I don’t want to watch them in a small phone.

Discovery is all about adventure and the gorgeous visuals and how can not one expect to have it available in television platform. Eagerly expecting it to be available very soon in fire stick / chrome cast. Until then I have to wait without using the app. Sorry discovery.

No doubt discovery plus has amazing contents, but the biggest drawback is one can not cast the episodes using a chrome cast. I’m finding difficult to watch the big length episodes on the iphone as it’s straining the eyes.

Almost all the live streaming apps has support for chromecast and air play. Please update the app with a chromecast support, so that the best shows can be enjoyed on a bog screen and not on 2x4 inch mobile screen.

I am enjoying the superb content of the app but at the same time I am very disappointed that I am unable to watch on my TV, it play only on my iPhone . Since is screen size is small my watching experience is really poor. When will Discovery release an App for Apple TV??

It is useful for children’s and everybody because, it’s a beautiful app. The contents are well designed, but there is a problem the app is not offline and charges extra for other shows. It needs improvement to be offline and remove the charges for other shows.

The app has been very well designed with well researched quality content. It’s informative and a treat to see some of the programmes. The only drawback is that content can not be downloaded. This is an essential feature as one may not have Internet access everywhere and every time due to various reasons. Hope this is taken into cognisance.

1) Need landscape browsing, currently I can browse only in portrait mode on iPad.

2) Some shows have starting seasons missing, like “How it’s made” starts from season 14, where do I watch first 13 seasons?

3) The playback quality switches to low quality in between even though I selected the best quality option.
