Description
A companion app meant for Maruti Suzuki SmartPlay Studio infotainment system. It connects over Bluetooth or USB and does handshaking with infotainment to identify it as SmartPlay Studio infotainment system. It provides information to the phone user about the other apps that are accessible through the SmartPlay Studio-infotainment UI or apps that can communicate with the infotainment system to control certain functionalities. It also provides information to the SmartPlay Studio on apps that can be accessed from the SmartPlay Studio infotainment and their installation status. This app shall work only with select range of Maruti Suzuki models and audio systems.

Wireless CarPlay support and OTA app updated are missing. It’s very hard to update the system. Many times USB cable is connected and it’s charging but CarPlay is not showing

As mentioned by other users as well. Upon entering the VIN# or REG# and phone number app says- “your mobile number is not linked with the VIN#’. Worst part is neither the showroom dealer nor the service advisor know the solution to this. Worst App.

As rightly said by most users, my vin and mobile no doesn’t match and so I’m unable to use a lot of features like navigation etc . I have been running after the company people since last 1 month but this issue hasn’t been resolved . Look into it asap

This app is too bad. It never takes the VIN and Cell phone combinations. A brand like Maruti Suzuki should really take a good look at it. If basic connection is a problem, how are customers supposed to use the app?

As rightly said by couple of other users, it is not allowing to login using VIN and mobile combination. I think Maruti Suzuki has to keep their database dynamic and updated. I have another issue with smart play hardware- it is not allowing to connect with my smart phones. It retains previous connection details and when I try to connect another phone, it didn’t get connected. Sometimes it will get connected after factory reset. But not every time . Moreover, it is not always convenient to do factory reset. I will be checking with NEXA service center today. Hope it works well.

I never received an OTP despite trying several times! I’m pretty sure I’m entering the correct details - VIN/Registration Number and my registered mobile number (double checked with the dealer as well). The app keeps saying it sent an OTP and I never receive any. I’m unable to use a whole lot of features supported on my car just because this app won’t let me login!!

It always says that my VIN and mobile number does not match, but I am giving the right details for sure. Never lets me login because of this issue!! I see another user has posted the same review in July month, but no fix implemented till now? Then why are you promoting this app in Maruthi and Nexa showrooms ? And have a separate section in my car infotainment system which I will never be able to use because of this app login issue !!

This app says my phone number doesn’t match with VIN and Reg no even though I have used the same number while I purchased my car. All these validation should have been done before releasing the app like these or some alternative way should have been given.
