Steps to install:
1. Install Canara ai1 mobile app.
2. After successful installation open app by clicking new Canara ai1 icon.
3. Click on next button to continue after selecting the SIM having Registered Mobile Number with the Bank. SMS will be initiated from the selected SIM; Ensure balance is available to send the SMS successfully.
4. After successful Mobile Number validation, an OTP will be sent to your Registered Mobile Number.
5. Enter the OTP received and continue.
6. You will be redirected to create and confirm your 5 digits numeric PASSCODE for login to the application.
7. Accept the Terms & Conditions after successfully creating the PASSCODE.
8. Grant the permissions requested during the registration process to access all aplication features.
9. Before initiating any mobile Banking transactions, you need to create and confirm new 6 digits numeric MPIN for authenticating transactions.
10. Click on ‘SET NOW’ to activate your Mobile Banking facility using active debit card details/activation code (Visit home branch for generating the activation code).

The latest update messed up the home screen which earlier showed all the SB/FD/loan balances on the home page itself and was easy to navigate to the required product. Now after the update the products are classified into tabs and even in each tab the multiple products held by the account holder are shuffled one after the other. This becomes cumbersome to navigate. Wish the developers bring back the old home screen and also concentrate on performance. The ai1 animation that you see while opening the app looks childish.

I am facing more trouble every passing day with the banking app. The security password lock sometimes does not work and indicates password error even after giving the right one. The app performance is great. And it’s really easy to use but the issue is with Canara banking system. The worst the thing is about their cunning idea of looting people money just by hiding the card type. It’s not only with me, I checked many people who took Canara bank account, all got platinum cards, who applied for normal debit cards. If you apply for normal debit card, without our knowledge, they send us the platinum cards and the yearly charges will be 590 rs, this way they loot from many people and they get much profit. Uneducated people who are not aware of these card types thinks that may be it’s because of minimum account balance charges. Don’t play with normal people money, tell them clearly when they open account with you, that you will be getting platinum card and yearly charges will be there. If they agree then np.

I have used other bank applications too. But this one is very non user friendly. Every time I open the app it says unable to connect and just shuts down. Nothing else. Then I have to uninstall and reinstall and login and all that process just to do a basic job like transfer or check balance. It’s really really pathetic and does not help at all. I find it easier to go physically to the branch and have my work done than using the ‘digital’ pathetic application.

I tried to install the app at least five times but each time it only frustrated me as each time is leading to upi and then saying mobile number linked to multiple accounts. Never faced such issues with SBI, HDFC, CITI. Here whoever designed this is crazy there is neither great security nor ease of installation and usage. I have two iPhone handsets, one iPhone11 & another iPhone14. The IPhone 11 was earlier linked to my Apple ID, but now after resetting the phone it is with mother Apple ID of my family member. Both are using Canara aI1 app. The problem is once we are updating the app on one set, the app on other set stops working and error message comes “Your mobile number is not registered with device, please clear the cache and re-register yourself”. Don’t know whom to contact and who will provide solution for this.

This guys are releasing app for mobile banking different names more often which makes the Canara bank app to be non trustable. Moreover it is getting confused and makes think harder for users to reset/set pin every time they release the app is makes more vulnerable to attack. Also having several of apps for almost same reason in App Store is not a good idea. This guys needs a better PMO team to streamline this release process. Also they have to avoid releasing different apps everytime rather than a simple update. Foot note : Canara bank app is vulnerable to attack

Always keep more minimum balance than required, for ex if the minimum balance is 2000 , then keep 2100 or more, the bank will deduct 18rs for sms charges without our permission and also doesn’t send us sms and deducts 30 rs monthly, does everything without even sending sms(then what’s the point of deducting 18rs for sms charges when I get no sms about anything)
So it’s better not to use this bank.
Indian bank and IOB bank are the best and they don’t steal our money like this beggar Canara bank. Curse this bank for stealing the hard earn money of innocent people every single sec.

I m struggling wid the app seriously. I have deleted this app three times and reinstalled it and three times I have reregistered this app on my fone. I Even emailed to the support team the screenshot of the err m getting while login in but no reply from your end. Hi there,
I’m not able to open my account details in Canara ai1 app. After entering the passcode or fingerprint unlock, it remains same on the login screen only. It is not logging me in even after providing the correct passcode. My account is not opening in the app. Please check there is a bug. After uninstall / install, I received a notification you are logged in successfully but after that also, no other screen visible. And then I’m getting only passcode screen at every try.

Canara Bank app used to be slow. But now it is really fast. Now I use both banking and UPI with Canara Bank app. I used to use different UPIs earlier. Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, MobiKwik. Now I have moved to Canara Bank BHIM UPI. It is fast and I dont have much privacy concerns with them as the other UPIs. Also some private UPIs constantly ask for KYC details and no choice to disable this behavior. I don’t have any such issues with Canara Bank app UPI. So far very much satisfied with the app.

I used the recharging option in the app to recharge my BSNL mobile connection (pre paid). I tried many plans and other than losing my money, none of the plans worked. I went to a local BSNL exchange to verify if the plan recharging went through, but they said no and told me to wait few days to see if the money gets refunded back to my Bank account. Now its been 14 days since i did the recharge and I am stuck with the money lost to Canara app for BSNL recharge.
I know that Canara app is a Banking app so changing my 5 star review to 1 star may not be 100% apt because this is a mobile recharging issue. But if something does not work, please don’t implement it in the app. Maybe recharging works with other operators. But it didn't work for BSNL. And please refund the money if the transaction could not be completed.

I usually use this app for transferring money and creating deposits, all of which seems smooth. My only suggestion would be that the home page uses more subtle icon rather than the colourful icon it is currently using. Those icons are not easy to understand and are distracting as well. Except that all seems good.

Why roll out half baked app when none of the functions are working? Simply pathetic.

In the name of upgrade, this is a serious downgrade. None of the basic functions which used to work in the previous app are working now. Even getting a view of loan account, transferring loan amount is not working. Linked accounts are gone, beneficiaries are no longer visible…wonder what sort of control mechanism the bank follows for rolling out such critical updates going to such a large customers base. Really an awful experience.

Overheating when connected via wifi

It’s disappointing even the new version of the app just like the previous one overheats my iPhone 12 when connected through my home wifi but doesn’t overheats when using app via mobile data.
Currently the phone is running iOS 15.5 and the issue has been even in previous iOS versions as well.

1. Registration is cumbersome. SMS won’t deliver at lightening speeds that the app expects. We end up sending multiple sms.
2. It is a stupid idea to link the app to the phone SIM card in these times where people keep more than one phone for use. No other bank does this. Not for security, this is only for customer inconvenience.
3. It is a stupid idea not to allow to complete registration for wifi internet users. The app does not allowed use even on home wifi networks!
4. When opened, the app spontaneously closes. Please fix this issue first.

I am unable to use beta version in my Apple XR. Kindly help..
Added beneficiaries got removed automatically.. why and how?!! With the resetting of the mobile software, all installed application got erased from the mobile along with Candi. All the added beneficiaries also got removed along with the removal of the Candi application while resetting the mobile software which is really disheartening and enforced to do extra work by adding same beneficiaries again and again which was previously added, whereas rest of the applications come with all previous records once got registered. Kindly rectify it to make the Candi App more user friendly.

I am an iPhone user and whenever I try to Launch the app it doesn't, even after allowing all the permissions to the app. As soon as I launches the app and go for verification of mobile number, it returns to the home screen of mobile automatically and no any kind of message neither sends nor received by me either for confirmation of registration or about the error of not registering the device. Very dissappointed with the version of app. Unable to use the app for last 3 months or more.

When I downloaded it first, the app was working all fine. Everything thing was easy to understand and quick. Lately the app keeps crashing every now and then. There are certain banks which don’t appear in the list and there are times I insert the account number but the number of characters supported by the app is less. So basically I’m not able to use the very basic feature of transferring money also. Please fix this problem.

Dear sir, I have been syndicate bank account holder 1982 onwards. Meerut branch services were part excellence and were quoted as an example to all other banks. Unfortunately now online services since merger have become worse.
users have given more than adequate response on unfriendliness of candy app.
Request to redesign the app to make it more user friendly.
Good features of other banks can easily by adopted.
It seems management intentionally wanting to dissuade customers to close their accounts and switch to other bank accounts. I am thinking of switching to other bank for my entire family.

I trusted once upon a time but now all staffs of this bank just lazy and ignorant stupids.

I paid my credit bill funded my account with sufficient funds for EMIs, but they swept off my entire balance for the credit card bill without updating my payment details for two days, so my 3 cheques bounced, who the bloody hell pays off the bouncing charges and damage of my cibil and credit score, hate you bloody stupids.
I have given written complaint in Hirebidanur Branch of Gowribidanur town, to change my mobile number that bloody staff never changed it even after many phone calls and written applications, what nonsense this bank staff are doing, shame on you for your irreparable damages that you idiots cause to customers.

Two times I have paid via ‘scan QR and pay’ option in the app at POS terminal at domino’s and mcD and after money was deducted, they showed me response timed out. Bank closed my complaint in one day without any solutions. Money hasn’t come back yet. My issue is whether app sends payment data properly to the POS terminal? Coz at customer side app gives message ‘payment successful’ but at POS showing BHIM QR side, payment gets timed out.

As there’s always room for improvement, they could look into adding options like shopping, travel, investment etc.

Hi, I have installed the app and been facings problems. Initially, I wasn’t able to login and now after I managed to login, I cannot add my card details. I have used syndicate bank app earlier, and it was all good, now you guys have disabled the Syndicate bank app, and forced us to install this Candi Canara, and syndicate bank customers are facing many issues. Please update the database, so that, we can input our card details and make the transactions. The app will be of no use, when I cannot make transactions, I hope you got my point. Thank you and looking forward to use the app
Any update on this, please. It still shows the same error when I try to enter my syndicate bank card details. The error “ Invalid account Status “.

I have install this app a lot of time for personal banking but it’s alwys slow, contact a lot of time in branch it’s showing your account is mapped with multiple cell numbers bt I don’t have any account.

iPhone User - Surprised to see a PSU concentrating so much Security Features of Mobile Banking app.
1. App automatically for deactivated after switching of SIM cards & one have to re-register & setup app again. That’s a very good security feature.
2. Very user friendly app & designed to understand by Leyman.
3. Quick addition of beneficiary & hassle free funds transfer
4. Can activate/deactivate/hotlist & set limit for my card very smoothly. Didn’t find any glitch here as other users have complained.
5. Easy access to Internet Banking too. Can create online Fixed Deposits & Recurring Deposits & close without worrying for banking hours. Loved this feature.
6. UPI is also integrated in same app. Wow.
7. I can pay my various bills through same app. That’s very useful.

Yes, I faced some issues while registering & for OTP but it seems the issue is with my Network Service Provider may be due to network congestion cause of bulk SMS flooding. So, I opted for OTP on call & completed registration.

Worst app made by you people. You people are still far behind from latest technology platforms. It’s such a pathetic app having millions of unknown errors , customers are struggling to register to such a terrible app. It’s better to merge this bank too to some other bank. This is the worst apps of all the banking apps that I have used .... Cannot access debit card info it loads and crashes and take me to the login page... I have a credit card cannot access credit card info most of the times ... payment option in credit card do not work ... not sure what good is this app for ... and the size of app is is 227mb.... not sure if the developers are competent to maintain this app... I will be closing my credit card because of this issue ... as I am not able to make a payment using this stupid ap..

I don’t know who built this stupid app. There are two options under “Block” section for credit cards which have “Block Temporarily” and “Block Permanently”. Both are set to ‘on’ by default. If you turn it ‘off’, it will block your card. It should be the other way around. Is this some kind of joke or someone doesn’t know English? Also very annoying that when you are making a transaction or checking some details, app just logs itself out repeatedly. Such a terrible experience.

The app is simply crashing each time i try to open it. Very very inconvenient. I haven’t been able to keep track of my finances as this issue was persisting.
Even the overall app experience is very bad. Website needs to be improved.

If you don’t want your customer to do nothing with this app, just delete. I have a NRI account. I am fed up with useless app. Every time if I want to login, I have to reset the password. And for resetting the password, I have to fill up the details several times even though the data are correct. If I login, I cannot add a beneficiary, I cannot transfer, I cannot make a loan payment, I cannot recharge, etc. Then what’s the use of this app. It’s shameless you are continuing with such a ridiculous app in these times. I used another bank’s net-banking, it was 1000 times better than this. I will definitely move to some other banks, since you are still insisting people come to the bank directly and stand in the queues.

This is the worst mobile banking application ever. Nothing is working. I’m not able to access the account. Every I login , it keeps asking for the password and suddenly logs off. It keeps asking to register the mobile number whereas the number is already linked. Fed up with Canara Bank. I think it’s better to close my account with you and make an account with other bank. You must be ashamed to call yourself a nationalized bank. I will also recommend new account seekers not to open any account with camas bank. You must be closing your shutters if you are not able to keep up with the market demands.

Crashes at the start

I used this app for about 5 days and it worked fine at the beginning, though at times it used to crash or gets stuck but after reopening, it worked fine.
But from last 4 days I’m not even able to open the app forget the rest services. This app crashes right at the beginning and takes me to my phone’s home page.
This is my advice to the developers kindly fix the bug and other issues which is causing the crash and other problems ASAP so that one can use the digitalisation of banking in today’s digital world!
