Better avoid this highly unprofessional company who doesn’t have time to call the customer and give clarity about queries being asked. The team who chat through emails is super hypocrit, they reject your proposal after getting money spent from your pocket in name of tests and eventually they end up simply dropping a notification that your proposal has been cancelled and refund being initiated. Very rude in terms of customer handling. Better avoid this company and save your precious time. Mr. Umesh you should at least learn email professionalism so that customers don’t end up cursing Niva Bupa.

I am going to a gol store ot in a hospital at Kolkata, I sent paperwork to insurance through hospital, they approved my pre approval just in 10 minutes..after a day a very professional person called me and said,,he is going to seeing my claim and give his number and ensure me for best possible service.. and my ot was done on 21/01/24 without any issues and i was discharged on 23/01/24 morning, hospital sent the file to the insurance at 11:48, and the person approved my claim 12pm in 12 min, yes I used hdfc ergo previously and i was a big fan of there services,.. but from today nivabupa is my first preference and far ahead of any other company., now I am going to claim my pre and post hospital claim and I hope here also surely they serve there best

There is nothing in app, not sure who is the developer or BA who provided waste app. Basic option where i can in put my policy and get my details. No option to check my claim process woth policy number and forcing me to enter my mobile number. I have corporate policy where i dnt have my mobile no registered, i cant see my policy at all.
Tried contacting customer care and tried to registered and received call from customer and when i started saying my issue the call is hanged up.
So waste of nothing.. not sure how they will help incase of emergency need.
Spend some good money and develop good app with good designs.
Keep good customer service agents to resolve the customer issues not just for selling the insurance policy.

I have taken a policy under ReAssure in my name and my spouse’ name. My spouse is unable to access the app on her own as her mobile number could not be included! The app states that her mobile number is not recognised.
The problem is that there’s no provision within the app for the joint policy holder to include her mobile number.
Secondly, when we use vpn, the app doesn’t function well as the app is designed to track our data and if we don’t facilitate their data collection, The app turns stubborn and doesn’t respond.
Please remember you have collected your premium hence provide efficient service.

I bought this health insurance policy “Ressure” for 2 years with annual premium of 24k. I was assured that there is one annual health check up included every year. Last year I didn’t availed the facility however this year I booked for 26th sept through Niva Bupa app. On 25th evening I got to know that my booking is cancelled as the slots are full. I checked with the selected lab and they told they are not aware of any booking received from Niva Bupa. I again booked for 28th September and just now I got message that it’s cancelled as lab is closed for renovation till 3rd October. This is a complete White Lie. There is no renovation happening there. This promise of giving health check up is fraud and cheating. Please avoid buying this policy if health check up is your criterion.

I wonder if someone is stuck and need claims Niva Bupa is not going to reply before 15 days
I think they will wait the customer to pass and then they will say sorry to customer because renewal is so tough then getting claims would be how much difficult, just imagine.

I’ve been a customer for many years. The service used to be great. But it’s a very sorry situation today. There is no customer support in the app. Any emails sent to their customer support are responded to by an automated response after 2 days. Why they need 2 days to send an automated response is beyond me.
The automated response (or for that matter, the support section in the app) directs you to a web portal that is extremely buggy and makes it near impossible to contact customer support. In the unlikely scenario that you find the deeply hidden mechanism of raising a support ticket, you’re asked to verify your phone number for an OTP that never arrives.
For a platform whose core operation is dependent on people who are primarily in a state of distress, their recent customer support moves have been one of the most customer-hostile I have ever seen.

They provide incentive for healthy lifetstyle. App skip step counts for months. For many months it shows ZERO steps. Sent overall 26 emails to the customer service team without any resolution. App isn’t allowing to book annual health checkup saying I’ve already used this year’s check up. It’s been over 16 months since I last got checked via app booking. This is the worst app. The renewed policy cannot be seen on app(It always shows policy expired). There is no Techinical sound option to upload lates policy. Also there is no option to send per intimation on the app. Also customer care options are designed in a way that you cannot reach out to them. Also they don’t reapond to the emails for pri. Intimation. The only ease of option given on app is to renew the policy(Revenue generation option) rest on service part all things are designed complicatedly. NivaBupa is not customer friendly company to be associated with.

OPD medical bills submission for the year 2022 was hassle free. Just that original bills had to be sent via courier. Multiple emails were triggered while processing them.
Finally the bills were approved and money credited within 20 days, appreciate if it could be a little quicker.

The Niva Bupa app is a disaster. At least when it deals with iOS (is that even an excuse these days?)
Login takes forever and multiple attempts and you are able to login if it is your lucky day. The health tracker doesn’t work - it does not sync with my other health apps and step-counters despite providing access to them. The promise to provide discounts in premium based on the health app sounds like a scam because the app does not work. I gave up after trying for 3 days to coax it to life.
It says ‘Download the policy document’ and you click on it and the app promptly crashes/shuts down. Tried to download the policy document for 3 days and gave up on that too.
I gave two stars because the the Niva Bupa employee who spoke to me and explained the policy’s features to me was amazing. Both those stars are for him.

We need renewed our policy with Niva Bhupa. I must say they have the most irresponsible customer service … they incompetent and inaccessible to the customers. Wehen they have to renew the policy, they will call you 10 times a day and keep sending renewal link to mail n sms. Once their job is done and the customer renew the policy they are inaccessible, totally unavailable. Their helpline , chatbot and any other customer service is pathetic to say the least. I will cancel my policy now . Max Bhupa was better but now they have sold their share to Niva , Niva bhupa service is horrible .

This app is garbage, After getting my policy number I tried registering and its says my mobile number doesn’t exist, not linked with any policy. Then it says my policy doesn’t exist. These marketing guys say that it is covered from day 1. And when my policy number is not linked to anything how can I claim?? looking for a full refund and a complaint to IRDA website.
now I will get a reply to write an email to some email id with my concerns, after that they think they gained another customer.

My Aunty was paying insurance for Niva Bupa since 4 years, first time she went through root canal treatment and in policy it was written that can be reimbursed, but after applying, we observed first the claim process was not easy, bad app design, no update even after a month time, no proper customer support numbers, from app you cannot connect to customer support. After uploading documents online, again someone came home to verify and asked physical documents. After doing all this, they kept under verification status for 35 days and suddenly one day the status said cannot pay. Due to worst customer support, we are unable to contact them for what reason not payable. Its our fault we bought this insurance when there are few insurance companies settling claim in 24 hours. We are not going to renew this anyways this year. But I want to make others aware of this worst insurance policy.

Niva Bupa team provide very poor service . I am doing mail from last one and half month but they are not providing me hard copy of policy and not giving reply of my mails. Also when first time they sent policy to me, sent policy of another person . I took 10 lac policy but in documents they mentioned 5 lac. Also after that doing so much mails they only react we resolve your issue, I am not understanding which issue they resolved if they can’t provide correct details.

I have bought health insurance Policy of myself and my brother. However, i have been trying to know more about my policy but i am unable to do it due to very bad digital services of niva bupa i am not able to login to my account through website on laptop nor even through app and further calls to customer care number is paid despite unlimited calling plan a person is charged for call. I having complete information required like policy no, customer id, mobile no, email but the login says my policy is inactive, my mobile not registered (despite the same mobile number appears on my policy document sent by you), email not registered ( despite receiving policy on same email), app says no insurance policy linked despite entering policy no and date of birth even then it won’t recognise the user. Nothing can be done online even during this digital age. I cant schedule my comprehensive free health check up, login to my account and access other services. No one is going to visit the branch for these services that are provided online by all insurers. I am afraid how bad would be the claim service if anything happens to me or my brother. I will be switching to hdfc ergo

Doesn’t automatically update my renewed policy. Using “link renewed policy” or “add new policy” also doesn’t allow me to add my policy renewal. App just shows my old expired policy. Been 1.5 months since renewal and several customer care tickets later no one is helping me with this issue. Pathetic customer care and pathetic bug filled app. Next time I will use a different policy company because Niva bupa has no interest in customer service. They take weeks to reply to one ticket and just reply without even reading the email. I am telling them again and again the issue I am facing and they just send me my policy document as reply. How can a customer care be so bad to reply after 15 days without even reading email? Absolutely shameful.

I had to contact twice their customer support and both the times the experience was pathetic. Recently i had raised claim for my annual health check up, company frauded me with reimbursement amount and upon sending emails and contacting customer support realised one don't know even basic maths to add amount together and other don't even know which tests are covered. They will tell u that they will call back but at the end resolution message will come with case closed. Horrible experience avoid them for sure

Loved the app…UI is simple and easy. Health points and steps tracking is an exciting feature and good enough to push you to extra efforts to take care of your health. A small suggestion…steps count should be real-time. I noticed it either syncs at day end or when the re-login in the app.

Regretting switching to Niva bupa

I had hdfc ergo but decided to port to niva bupa and I am regretting every bit of it
1. This app does not sync my number of steps despite allowing the permission to sync with my health app
2. You can’t add your health card app in your apple wallet. For someone like me who does not carry much around, a simple access to my health card in my apple wallet without having any internet connection is a must.
3. I tried requesting my policy document multiple times, but haven’t received it even after 48 hrs.
I am seriously considering to switch to some other company now.

I am Rosamma Stephen, I am 63 years , old, I don’t understand why not give full body check up for senior citizens, 2010 onwards I join max bupa , but still never give full body health check up .,my opinion u should concern this for seniors, blood test for few in 2017 then this year 2021. Actually this is what’s the use , we’re going other places for check up, if do something with medical check up (full body) then we’re also satisfy.,

App crashes on opening

I have downloaded and installed this App two months back. It opened and worked just once or twice. But since then; the App simply crashes on opening. I wonder if this issue is only for iOS 15 or older versions are encountering the same.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling the App; same issue persists.
If I am unable to open the App; it renders it useless. Might as well pull out from the App Store; resolve the issue and re-upload.

I am using family first plan since 3 years but I faced these problems when I actually need assistance from them.
1- their customer service never pick call the minimum time to get response is more than 30 min. So left without filing claim.
2- staff is very rood only polite at the time of renewal but again when you will start paying the premium the support staff become rood and tell you about hidden charges at the time of claim.
3- Yearly health check up tie ups are very bad they have tie ups with the cheapest labs in your city. Who don’t even know about those tests which are written on the email and don’t have weight machine for weight.
Wasted around 70k with them. NEVER go with this company save the same amount of money that will be more helpful for you.
I am stopping my policy with these peoples. They are pathetic in small cities specially.

I have taken parental medical cover with them, unfortunately one day my parent met with an serious accident. I called the authorised circle hospital to send ambulance, they said they will not send, even if I made aware them about policy, still they denied and told me to reach by own. I called up Max Bupa support, they took almost 5 hours(promised for 30 mins earlier) to get back on issue, and after 5 hours they said no again. So I wasn't able to take my parent to hospital since no ambulance there nearby. After saying no to me, they simply didn't concern anything about a patient, who is parent of their customer trusted them so much and taken policy with them, and they saying NO and further nothing has been done??? Patient has been left on their situation without any worry ???? IS FOR THIS REASON I HAVE PAID YOU HUGE AMOUNT FOR PARENT MEDICAL COVER?? I would suggest to all, don't come in such traps of no humanity, be wise, take cover from another reliable source. I will not renew my policy as well after this.

Max Bupa has been very helpful to me. After I have taken my health insurance policy from them. Unfortunately after 15 days I met with an accident. Being a accidental coverage that I have taken from them and a minimum period of 15 days. They have still continued to help me by approving it. As other companies have a process of a month. The premium is on a yearly basis. It is a individual coverage.

My health insurance is with Max Bupa. The services are excellent. I had a claim experience. My daughter was hospitalized and within half hour they have cleared the bill. The coverage is for my family and myself. The coverage is for seven lakhs. The premium is paid on a yearly basis. Mostly they insure all kinds of illness. It would be better if they cover critical illness too.

Worst app ever! First, it takes ages to verify the number. Second, every time I open the app, it shows policy expired for previous year. I have already renewed the policy and so whenever I try to link renewed policy, it fetches and comes up saying no new policy found! Third, the e-MaxBupa card does not have any details of mine for the renewed policy but when I click on it, it shows up all incorrect details such as my mother’s name as main policy holder and my name (who is the main policy holder) as others! Did not expect MaxBupa to not have their app updated regularly!!
