This “app” is a good study in dark UX patterns and how companies can take something loved by millions and ruin it with pure greed. Let’s start off with the betting system in place. You can lose over a 1000 coins on top of the 200 coins you already bet, but you can’t win more than your balance limit. You mostly end up losing all your coins no matter what tier you bet on. Second, the biases. This game decides the winner of the match before it even starts. And ensures that that person/team wins no matter how well you strategise. I have tested this with other people. Third, the ads. This game is impossible to play without watching the ads. They force you to lose all your coins and the only option you have left is to watch ads to get various rewards. On top of this, the ads take you to the app page regardless of whether or not you clicked on it (tested). I’m sure this is illegal in certain countries and definitely not a part of Apple’s app guidelines. Fourth, the incessant pop ups. Ads for diamonds, coins, VIP points, etc. constantly pop up throughout the experience. They just want you to spend more time on the app so they can show to their managers that they have a very high engagement. This app is a cancer on society and a testament to how greed can ruin good things.

This game is a scam, period.

It uses dark UX practices to force you to watch ads, spend more time on the app, allow tracking, accessing your socials, sending notifications, etc.

When you start each match, you bet a minimum amount of coins, but you can lose all of your coins depending on how many cards you have left (this is on top of the inital betting amount). BUT, when you win, you can't win more than the amount of coins you currently have. So even a Mega Win, where you'd get over 10,000 coins would be limited to 2,000 if you don't have the balance.

On top of this, the winner of the game is decided before the cards are even dealt. You can strategize however you want, but the game will give the previously decided winner a random 4 right at the end to make them win.

If I was in an employee at this company, I would really reconsider my job. It is evil, it is a scam. And watch them reply with a generic response to this, love it.

There are lots of reviews on the amount of ads you show after each game but I think you are not taking it seriously. Used to love this game, came back after a couple of years. First few days, worked fine. Now, I lost about 40,000 coins in just a day. I have the recordings saved to show how unfair/rigged it is.

The number of ads - It’s honestly frustrating but was tolerable until it started taking me out of the game to the App Store without me clicking on it - (Gardenscapes ad) And even if your team says that the card distribution is random, as someone who has played this game for years, I can tell that it’s not. During Wild Weekends, it’s so easy to judge others cards and you will be left with others +4 cards and now in, side to side game, the opposite team will have all the reverses and wild cards and you end up playing just one time and they will complete the game in just 30 seconds. You save up coins only to lose them at a stretch!

One is much better off playing UNO using physical cards than this pathetic online variant. The game’s algorithm ensures that I lose a lot more frequently than I win. I have lost count of the number of times I have been at the receiving end of repeated +4s and +2s from both the ends through the course of a game. Also, I haven’t won a game in days! It’s been mostly third-place or fourth-place finishes, with an occasional second-place finish. The only redeeming factor of the game is that the algorithm doesn’t differentiate between paying and non-paying players when fleecing them! Utter waste of time and money!

They just won't let you win. For eg., You will win four matches back to back and loose only one match but in that one match you will loose more coins than you won in all the four matches combined. They will never give you cards. If you have a +4 your opponent will have 2 of them. Also, they give bots in your team, no matter what you do that bot will never let you win. I had more than 5,00,000 coins, still they made me loose all those coins just so that I can spend money on this game.

Hi Uno Team, I am playing this game since long and since yesterday, I have been receiving an error message while I start the app. It try logging in with my fb id but get the error message which says: App not setup. This app is still in development mode and you don’t have access to it. Is it just me having the issue or a downtime? Thanks

Good App and very interactive. Gameplay is good but the problem is you end up loosing coins way too fast. Also there is no way to earn coins when you are bankrupt. Watch a video to get a ball but that’s also gives only 100 coins, which is very less. Also show the reward or loose before joining the game, that how much coins we might loose or earn after a game.

As said by other user I agree that when you run out of the coins there is no option to get coins other than pay and buy. That is not fair. And when you lose game you lose coins in big numbers and when you earn you get peanuts. Even when you win through scratch card or spin you always get 2 digit coins. Why is it so stingy 😂

The good thing is that game is good and fun to play. Lots of people to match with and play with and overall the game quality is good.

The bad thing about this game is you actually have no control on winning or losing, game decides if you will win or not. I may have the best cards and lose then continue losing till I am bankrupt. And some day I have few coins and wil continue winning. Its not about luck this game is designed so that we are forced to buy coins and then keep buying them.

One of the most pathetic apps ever. Though I love the game, this app shows ads too many times that it becomes irritating. I have uninstalled the game just because of the ads.

Also the algorithm won't allow you to have a lot of coins. When you are winning, you will earn coins quickly, after a certain wins, algorithm makes you lose for a few times and you lose your coins. And if you don't have coins, you can't play. And if you want some free coins, guess what, you have to watch ads, AGAIN!

Never seen such a poor game developed, negative mindset, not user friendly or fun game. It’s purely built to make money by forcing players to purchase inbuilt products ( which don’t even yield anything ) and by blink of eye vanishes as the algorithms and bots are built where one will only win 18-20% of games played in a day and rest you won’t even win convincingly - it will be petty wins probing you to play more and boom you won’t even realise your out of coins — and have to wait 24hrs to play again. Your opponents will always have power cards, and if not when they draw the exact card required they will find and Your loosing streak is more than wining — list is endless of flaws.

Top it coins deducted are not as per the game rules which is total points left in cards multiplied against game multiplier — it’s much higher and you will have to keep a tab of each game and waste of time and effort for such poor built game.

To add the customer service is even more horrible where the response are scripted and you will only recieve emails stating try another time, your strategy is poor, game is built fair, we be pass your feedback to backend team.

To summarise - this is a sham scam game not worth spending a dime or time nor it’s fun or friendly … this game ia to be boycotted and reported to online agency who investigates for frauds

The game rules are not same with the original game...and I don’t know how every time i have a single card and I shouted UNO but I ended up picking up 2 cards..my partner and I played 2v2 and whenever we held our last card we ended up picking up more even if we shouted UNO.. so no matter how good we beat the opposing player we just cannot win..and there is no customer service to complain to...

If you play a higher multiplier game or there’s a member with paid subscription , the chances of you(free player) is 0. If you are playing a higher game you won’t get any power cards ,whilst the paid members will make it rain on you. The algorithm is so favoured , say if you won 800 coins in one round. There’s no way you are getting to keep it. You’ll end up loosing everything. It’s so one sided we can actually declare the winner before hand by just looking at their game characters

The game decides wether you’ll win or lose at the start of the game, so there is literally nothing you, as the player, can do while playing. The charm of uno is that it is a fairly equal combination of luck and skill. This app destroys that. The app runs on a coin system, you “win” coins to play bigger. The games starts you off by letting you win copious amounts of it so that you’ll be motivated to play more. But everything after the first few games is just a slow loss. You’ll just keep losing coins until you’re “encouraged” to resort to paying real money to buy virtual coins only to keep losing anyway.

In this uno if we throw +4 we can’t throw any card on it in real uno we can throw the card on it

This is the worst app. They steal our coins and not even give daily coins on time. The daily coins are so limited that it is actually useless.

They just keep on stealing our coins whenever we lose any match.

When we win they give so less coins but when we lose any match they take away all of our coins.

The bank feature is so useless that it takes our coins and ask real money to buy our own coins.

There are so many bad reviews still ur team is not fixing any on these issues.

Fraud in taking coins which is not at all fair.

For example in classic mode, it will deduct 30 coins for the game and if we win the game it will credit us along with the 30 coins initially deducted. They just credit what we win and not the 30 coins they deduct for the game.

So though you win or lose, for each game that you play you’ll lose 30 coins from what you have.

Its really a fraud. Normally for the game what you get deducted should also be credited when you win.

It’s a fun game, but daily coins received are too less. You play one game and if you loose then all coins are gone at once. When someone plays wild card and if we don’t have it, the system asks a question if the opponent has that particular coloured card or not and at times even when you give the correct answer you end up receiving all the cards. Certain things are quite unfair with the game! Even when friends send coins, 10 coins are not worth it, as you can’t even play a classic with that.

This game is rigged to make you lose all the coins. You lose In 6 then win one and gain 200 coins ( after losing 600 coins in one game). The next time you play you lose 4-5 games and then win 2 games.. Then comes the next game where you go bankrupt... In 2x2 mode, if you lose, you n your partner don’t lose equal money. In fact I lost 1000 odd coins when I was 3rd while my partner lost only 500 coins that he/she had when they were last! Previously I made 35k coins and lost everything, coz probably the game cards AI distributer was set make me lose. It’s like gambling at a casino but here your luck actually depends on the AI bot and not actually your luck!! I love UNO and don’t mind losing fairly... But this game is rigged all the way! Pathetic!

You lose coins so often and gain so less. Friends giving 10 coins at a time? How does that even help? Gold scratch crd gives 50 coins most of the times. There should be some reasonable limits set to these. Daily spin giving 10/20 coins is not reasonable. In uno universe, even if we earn 3 paws, we lose a life. That doesn't ever happen in any other game. Plus time taken to earn another life is 1 hour. That is too long. Should be half and hr maximum. Also, if i earned two paws, I dont get an option to shield and play for third paw. Why would i want to shield only one paw. Sometimes the three tasks on one level are not even in line. We should atleast have an option to Shield and play again.

All of these make this game very inconvenient.

Remove the bank feature ASAP. It is supposed to give back the coins earned after a period of time, by saving it. Instead it asks the player to pay real money to get the coins back and if that isn’t done, after a certain date it resets itself and all the saved coins are lost. Why should one pay money to get back coins which were won by them? And there is not way to disable it as well. Very very disappointed with UNO. Bank feature must be removed immediately.

I’ve never seen a game this complicated with this horrid user experience. It took 20 minutes to find my friend, invite him to play, and finally getting into an actual game. And christ! how awfully bad the game mechanics are. Why is it filled with a million different options to play such a simple game as UNO? This is the prime example of over engineering such a simple concept. Can you please release a dumb down version of this crap without all the useless animations, millions of types of games and basically everything that’s not UNO? Everything is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I love the game, only one issue i feel here that. When someone has particular color but still he purposely put draw 4 and change the color, even when he is caught the color still remains the changed one, which is kind of unfair. If when he is caught then color should remain the original color and not changed to new color.

UNO in general is a simple card game which can be built online with less configurations and size. But this App is simply a copy of big games like PUBG with unnecessary features like Golden Pass, Events, Missions, etc. Every single feature you find in PUBG, you will find it in this app too. PUBG is a game which needs good graphics and missions, which is why their app size is big. I don’t know why all this is needed for UNO.

If you’re so keen on copying PUBG, also copy the fact that we don’t need coins to play every single match there. In your app, we always run out of coins which makes it difficult to play matches.

This game was fun at the start, winning coins like there’s no tomorrow, but after reaching a certain point, it becomes so heavily biased that you lose all coins..like for me , I won 3000 coins after playing almost 10-15 games, and then lost it all within 3 games...!! yes you heard that right..it just favours a particular player/team and you are just a mute loser.. at one game, I didn’t even get a chance to play my card since they kept on showing skip cards and then boom one of them puts all cards down and won..will try to never gonna come back for sure

Personally I love playing uno but I don’t get this game designed by the developers of this app at all. Most of the times I play in classic mode and whenever someone puts a +4 wild card and a question is asked for example “does abc have a blue card?” And even though he doesn’t have it and I click “no” as answer but I end up picking 4 cards and this is totally out of my mind.

Another issue is that I tend to lose more than coins but when I win I get very few coins.

Also you should design your app to generate random cards for everyone instead of favouring a particular player in the game giving equal opportunities to all players in the game.

When ever I open the app it loads... It loads for about 5 minutes-though I have proper internet connection. Not only that it gets disconnected in the middle of the game. If I reconnect, it’s again a problem, it loads, loads and loads. Other than this problem, the game is really fantastic!! I have been playing it for a long time. Hope that you fix the problem soon!

The game is a fun experience. You can play with your friends and is a lot of fun.

But the problem starts when you loose. If you loose two or three in a row, you are left without any coins in your hand and then you can’t play the game anymore. You have to purchase coins with real money and that is really bad.

Unlike other games there is a limit to watch ads for coins as well so you are left with only one option to buy coins.

If this thing is made better the game will be perfect to play.

I am planning UNO since long. Getting coins when you’re on losing streak is worst part of the game. There is a major issue of non availability of coin to play games even you can’t play classic mode with less than 100.

Their algorithm might’ve been set as if you’re on winning streak, you will get lots of coins but then after suddenly you start to lose the matches. I am not sure, but I noticed this.

Kind advice to developers that at least give 1000 coins daily to UNO player.
