Don’t get me wrong, the app and the content in themselves are very good. But after paying for subscription, I read the reviews and went running to my credit card app and I found the e-mandate (recurring payement) registered till year 2030! And this was without any prior knowledge. Please be aware and cancel the recurring payment in your credit card app/website itself.

Unauthorised Charges and Misleading Payment Flow
I subscribed only to a 1-week plan for ₹149, and the payment page clearly showed ₹149 as the final amount. But later, BetterMe silently charged an additional ₹749 for a 1:1 coaching plan that I never approved or selected.
There was no confirmation screen, no combined total, and no clear consent taken for this extra charge. When I contacted support, they insisted that I must have selected it, which is simply not true.
This kind of payment flow feels misleading and unfair. I’ve cancelled everything and requested a refund.
Please be careful while purchasing anything in this app.

Better Me app strategically targets consumers through social media app, give exciting offers and then charges double the amount for ‘1-on-1 coaching plan’ that you never sign up for. Be careful because even if you are a vigilant customer like me, they directly deducts the extra amount by the end of the day for which you will only receive mail and deduction notice from bank. As you reach out to their support team they would deny refund even if you cancel it immediately without using the plans for a single day.
In other words, they rip off your money from you but it’s a sophisticated scam.
Rated one star because I didn’t have an option, wish I had means to report it

Amazing destination
I have a massive problem of following through on my plans. Have tried numerous apps, gyms, various classes, but somehow this app ended up actually making stock through a routine. Instructions are clear, considers inputs at the beginning to give a curated fitness regime. And the best part is it never brings in the same exercises, every time it just mixes it up, brings in a new way of exercising! Plus the tracker for water, steps, food, weight just keeps you engaged.

Unfair billing after cancellation
I am extremely disappointed with BetterMe. I cancelled my subscription in advance, yet I was still charged for the next billing cycle. Despite reaching out with proof, the support team claim it was pre-authorised payment and refuse to refund the amount. This feels misleading and unfair customers should not be charged for services. They clearly cancelled on time. Please be cautious and double check your building settings. The cancellation policies is not as straightforward as it seems, definitely not a customer friendly experience

Sync issues
I’ve been using this app for a few days now. It’s been a good experience so far. The only thing I am not liking so far is that the app does not sync across devices. I use iPad and iPhone both, with iPad being the primary device for this app.
However, it’s not always possible for me to carry it everywhere. When I opened the app on my phone on day 5, I found that my progress was not synced and all days except day 1 were pickled out from the plan I had subscribed to.

Scam Application 😭 I paid for subscription but no benefits added
I was using the free version and was quite satisfied even suggested to my friend but everyday I used to get notification to buy membership 3-4 times a day Finally I thought to go with paid membership to take up the challenges after paying I realised I don’t get any added benefits which I was hoping for after talking to support they told me how to cancel my subscription even I stopped using application with utter disappointment now I realised my subscription in the application is also cancelled and I didn’t got my refund FYI I took membership for a year So in short I didn’t used application for a day and paid for a year.
After putting tons of mail they are saying APPLE charged me for it they didn’t charge anything How is this even possible

It's just been 10days and feeling amazing using the app. Have taken calistheics workout plan. It motivates me everyday to workout and track calories. The best part is, it has simple but effective exercises to build body or lose fat, there's plan for everyone. I has paid for a 4 week session via links from Instagram app where it took all the information, however, I did not received any confirm on email of the payment and the app also did not acknowledge me as a registered member ..
The app has already deducted 2.5 k from my account and not provided any services .. I have deleted the app and stopped the auto pay on my card .. please rerun the money as no services were availed.
Also, your subscription services are consistently hitting my card with INR 2000 charges every month which has been disabled by me through the credit card company. This is attempt to fraud. Please discontinue charge my card for this and return the money.

SCAM alert. Hidden Charges. You won’t be able to dodge it
Whoever is reading this review, don’t install this app. They charge you a very minimal amount (INR300) to give you a starter plan and save your card details and get you on a plan for a hidden subscription (INR 5800) which you can’t find on the app, you can’t disable or unsubscribe from it. You have to block it from the bank’s end. I got to know this when they deducted an amount 30 days after purchasing the minimal plan.
There model is flawed and designed to scam people.

How to cancel BetterMe Subscription Permanently as i charged unauthorised
I signed up for a one month trial on the BetterMe app through Instagram, but the app has been continuously charging my card without authorization. When I try to cancel the subscription through app and web, it doesn’t recognise my email or password first, after i logged in after so many attempts it says you don’t have any subscription. I’ve tried to reach customer support by mail but I haven’t been able to get a response. If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will be forced to purse legal action to recover the unauthorised charges. Please address this matter urgently and assist with cancelling my subscription permanently so I won’t be charged in future.

Do not save you card in this app, in this app even though you are not requesting for subscriptions, they will automatically enable the subscription and deduct money from your account.

Amazing experience.
I'm the kind of person who had tried 100 of $ worth gym to highly recommend yoga class. But my body felt stress buried in pain. And mind mostly irritated. Either by unwanted attention in gym or too much pep talk or people stops between yoga class and start chitchat. Gosh I always wanted it to be calm and peaceful. Thanks to BetterMe i got what i wanted finally. I Recommend for all the muslim woman who wants to be fit but do not like to attain namehram.
Its a wonderful workout from home experience. Where you get to pay very affordable price. And not to mention the couch and other needs of exercise are very cost effective.

Scam — Doesn’t Allow Me to Cancel With Ease and Charges Unwanted Money
BetterMe may have some content that helps you in ways such as to log your fasting data and stuff but it nags and nags so much with prompts to keep updating your plan to include a workout plan. And it did so out of the blue during my initial checkout and if you proceeded without attention at the last step you could be charged double of what you started of with.
I was only signing up for something one-time which I didn’t find too useful and didn’t want to renew — so I went t cancel it well within time.
But then, frther, they have made the user experience and interface around cancellations of plan super difficult. Discovering how to cancel as first itself is difficult then further within those tabs you just absolutely cannot figure out how to cancel. It’s like a trap and such a hassling process is sure to leave a customer not dissatisfied but annoyed.
I revoked all standing instructions from my bank’s end that allowed them to charge my card but disputably they managed to charge my card unwantedly.
They have an automated customer support which is useless. There’s no human to hear you out and you will be scammed if you sign up for this app even once!
Better give me my refund. I am tired of the automated responses that I get from your support email.

Please assess and increase a little time between two poses in the workout; give time to change the movements, for example from wall standing to lying down on the floor poses. One is just rushing in these workouts, give a little more time between movements. Thank you! Overall nicely designed.

I regret not reading the reviews before buying their plan. I too have the same experience. I opted for a 1 week plan & paid 699 rs but within a day they again auto-deducted Rs 2518 using my credit card details.
Upon checking with their team, they say you have availed for additional services which i clearly remember i did not. They are neither accepting their mistake , nor providing any refund. Zero ethics.
This app is no great, we have similar kind of free apps in the market. However, this kind of cheating is totally unacceptable. There are enough negative reviews and bad publicity. I am going to report this app asap.

Excellent overall health App
I’ve only attended 2 classes, but I can safely say that BetterMe provides a great balance between Calesthenics, yogic asans, diet and sleep tips and age wise data based workout schedules.
The only place I see space for improvement is specific instructions on how to breathe while performing each exercise. I believe breath control is essential for effortless and accurate execution of exercise regimens.

SCAM : Do not pay for subscription
Its the worst app while making a purchase it tells the amount will be auto debited after weekly subscription. I didn’t wanted to continue and stop subscription but there is no way in app i can cancel it neither it shows in my iTunes. I also wrote a mail to them before my weekly subscription ends that i want to discontinue still money got deducted even after they acknowledged it. I deleted my account before my subscription ends so that my money doesn’t get deducted as there is no way to end my subscription but still it got deducted and the subscription is not even activated. Its been a month wishing to receive my refund but its still not refunded.

This is a scam!
I took the free trial and then I ended up not using the app since I didn’t find it engaging. Then when I was wrongfully charged a renewal fee, which I promptly brought to the attention of the support team within the same day. They refused to give me a full refund citing some random refund policies and instead gave me only 50% back along with some discount coupons that I’ll never use. I will never use this app again and will not recommend it to any of my friends or family since the basic ethics are missing, let along the engagement on offer.

Extra charges Message and Poor Customer Service
I recently subscribed to a plan on the BetterMe app and provided my card details to make a payment. Shortly after, I received an invoice via email, but then I got a message saying that 15,000 would be deducted from my account the next day—an amount far higher than the subscription plan I chose. I never subscribed to this higher plan!
To make matters worse, there’s no option to remove my card details from the app, which is a big concern for me. When I reached out to customer service to resolve these issues, I received no proper response. So I cancelled my subscription and received the mail for the same. But I was still worried regarding my card details and the message which I have received.

Subscription Auto renewed even after cancelling multiple times
Hey, i just paid for 1 week trial then i cancelled it so that they dont charge automatically after one week. Even after doing it multiple times still the money i.e 1000 rs got deducted.. I tried finding active subscriptions on my apple store but i cannot find it over there also then how come you guys are auto renewing and deducting money… is it a fraud app? I wish i would have read the reviews before the impulsively buying the subscription also there is no customer call option to talk to the support. Kindly refund my money i shall be very thankful.

Fraud in terms of non-consent money deduction
Please be cautious with this app. I want to report this app for the fraud they are doing. I took a plan for 28 days and they took the route of auto debt and didn't take my permission for it. That's the first problem. Second, I ended the subscription way before the deduction of the next cycle. I checked with my bank, there was no auto debt enabled. The mandate is not listed for the app owner either. So I opened the app and unsubscribed from the subscription. All looked good. Next day, late night my money gets deducted from the credit card. Please notice that the subscription is cancelled and no mandate exists at the bank side. Still they proceed for billing me for this month. I reached out to customer support and they are offered no help but tired selling their plan for 50% off. It looks like they are aware of the problem and taking it easy even after multiple reportings. They said that money can be refunded if the plan didn't work. Let me tell you that your plan didn't work for me. I didn't lose any weight even after sticking to your plan for 28 days. They are asking for screenshot but I can no more see the calender displaying my progress on the app. I want my money back. If you do not refund my money, I will sue you in the court. I will report to the customer forum and app store.

They are running a scam business!
When I look into the reviews, I see, everyone has written only one review, that is charging them without their consent. Then how come the issue is still there n still all the new members are facing the same????? I had subscribed for one week but I didnt get any time to even use it n on the first day itself I cancelled the subscription from my bank. Then how come you guys charged me again? Why do you have my bank information? This is pure stealing. I want my refund or else I am going to report your company as fraud n I have enough evidence of that! There is no response yet from the customer service team. No contact number to call n speak to! Is this how you are running your business? By taking others money without their consent!?? Thats pure SCAM! YOU GUYS ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE AND STEALING THEIR MONEY! I will wait for two more days then I m gonna visit the crime branch! Hidden charges
Hello All, Ad shown on Instagram and I purchased the plan 499 Rs however unnecessary band price then monthly 1000 rs added in background When I Subscribed it started charging me 1000rs month. First month when I notification i unsubscribe it however again next month it again started charging not sure. This month again I completely un subscribe not sure what is going out i want this app should be completely removed

I have been scammed
I installed this app and purchased subscription for calisthenics workout. The calisthenics program is good and I am loving the results.
However I am not satisfied with the payment method. The payment gateway is designed such a way that another subscription was added to my purchase list without any information and money got debited from my account. After following up with the customer service they are not offering any refund. The additional subscription is canceled and also there is no refund. Total scam.

Horrible, it’s totally scam
Please please please don’t download the app, It’s going to loot your money without your permission, for the first i have seen this sort of app designing. When you make your first 1 week or 4 week or 12 weeks plan, without your concern there will be auto debit feature included in it. Looks like they are literally looting with this option, without going through reviews i just signed up, i got message that auto facility has been activated for 15,000/- which is not at all fair. I sent email to support team to cancel auto debit facility, will come here again and update further details once i get response. But it’s really painful for users.

Revised review
I initially signed up seeing the great analysis of myself on their platform. I took the trial membership for 7 days for a nominal. I made the payment and then it asked me to click a button and that activated a deduction of 2000 rupees from my account which i wasnt able to stop. I spoke to the bank and apparently they have setup an auto debit for next day which i cannot stop.
I reached out to the customer support and they generously acted swiftly and also extended my trial for 30days. I am enjoying it and i will be renewing my membership here on.

Scam
I was very hopeful when I downloaded the app and was following my workouts regularly then I decided to get the “personal coach” service and it prompted me to pay a fee to get that so I did but I still couldn’t access it every time I would try it would prompt me to pay I wrote to the support team and they kept giving me automated solutions like reinstalling the app or restarting my phone and I have already tried all of it many times and still nothing changes I tried paying again and the amount got deducted twice and I still can’t access the “Personal coach feature” and they’re still only sending me the same automated emails. Very disappointed in this app and the terrible customer support.

Biggest scam of the century
DO NOT ENTER YOUR CARD OR ACCOUNT DETAILS EVER IN THIS APP. Once you subscribe, there is no way of unsubscribing. Your betterme account will say that you have unsubscribed. But you keep getting billed for it. Somehow they have even managed to bypass the block imposed by the bank on the auto debit. I have no idea how they have managed to pull that off. Bank records show no active auto debit order. Yet these scammers manage to deduct money from your account. And when you try to contact them. There’s a stupid bot that gives generic answers and asks if you are dumb and unable to manage your subscription

It’s hard to cancel
The first week of trial is useless cuz the app does nothing apart from showing you a bunch of articles that ultimately upsell their
upgrades. As soon as you pay for the first week and they have your credit card details, they activate the auto-debit facility without your consent. On top of it, you cannot cancel via the app. You can’t even cancel via iTunes or Apple purchases. You have to go to your bank website to cancel that too after a lengthy process. I hate this app man.

Useless App
This app is as useless as any. I paid for the whole year subscription. And it seems like I’ve flushed down my money in a gutter. The personalised workout plans are repetitive everyday. It has same exercises under different names. Any other features needs to be paid. So for the money I’ve provided, I’ve got absolutely nothing. I would suggest people should consider before subscribing to their plans. And at least start with the one month plan before subscribing to the big ones.

Worst online experience
I subscribed to BetterMe and promptly canceled my subscription before the next billing cycle. Despite this, I was still charged. Their app claims that it will send confirmation notifications via email, but I received nothing. When I reached out to their help center, I was given no response.
To make matters worse, even after cancellation, the subscription was not visible on my Apple account, yet I was still billed. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel that their customer service is seriously lacking.
I would strongly advise anyone considering BetterMe to think twice. Their lack of support and accountability is unacceptable, and I am left deeply dissatisfied with their service. And till now they have not canceled my subscription.

Horrible App
Please do not download the app. It is going to lead you to lose you money. The app is designed in such a way that with simple clicks it will trick you to subscribing to their different schemes. Don’t enter you credit card details. They start the auto debit feature and before you know the money is debited because of some clicks you made unaware that you are subscribing to their plan. Plus the customer support is good for nothing. You can not call but just mail to them and no one is going to respond to your mail. So if an amount is auto debited it will not return to your bank account.
These apps are just scamming people in the name of fitness.

Requires a option of repetition based workouts
The app is solid, packed with many variations of workouts, and the workout trainer is a actual person, that makes things easy to understand. But i am not getting adapted to the time based workouts, I feel it’s too rushed and I am not doing it properly, it sometimes take time to understand the workout routine. I prefer the repetition based workouts, which gives the no. of reps for a single set. Overall good app.

Refund issues
Ever since i downloaded the app, i have been charged thrice while I had opted for the payment to be made one time. Initially i wrote an email and disabled the flag on the app for auto renewal and got the confirmation for the same as well. Shockingly my card is being still debited twice since then. Yesterday my card got charged for 5001 Inr. Worst part is on writing emails and requesting for refunds i only get automated emails and am struggling to get my refunds. Can somebody from the customer service team kindly help me to resolve this issue.

It’s a scam app
I just registered in this app & done only for meal plan of INR 699 & it asked for other plan like supporter etc I didn’t accept all such and once I gone thru the plan it was not for Indian people so I sent a mail that it’s not suitable for Indian like me. So am not interested on next 1 hrs I sent this. But on next day they had made a transaction of INR 2099 & INR 799 without my permission …. I had deleted the app also … I had blocked my card. This is totally scam …. Pls don’t download it. I’m didn’t get any reply for my refund mail…

This application is a scam ,they initially charged me 150/-(INR) and later they charged a subscription renewal fee which I didn’t opt for and without my consent even after I cancelled the subscription they charged me 1000/-(INR) as renewal charges and now they are forcing me to show results in order to process the refund like how does that even matter when you have falsely charged me.
Really disappointed with this.
If you care about your reviews please process my refund as soon as possible.😣

Looks Like Fraud
I saw an add and started with the test. At the end of it, they asked me if I would like to take a 1 week plan for 224rs. I gave it a try and opted for it. In another 2 hours, i get a message that an auto debit of 15k for an annual subscription has been activated. This is just absurd. I had already taken my plan and I never opted for a yearly plan. This is not how you do business, this is just pure fraud. Fortunately, I saw the message and cancelled it.
And I also saw a review regarding the same problem, which was 2 years ago. I guess you people are still scamming

No clear payment method and no easy refund process
The app is good , but the way I have drawn to the payment and the details shown were not correct. The payment option shows that I was paying for the 4-week plan but somewhere in between the personal (1to1) fee also included and I end up paying for something which was not clearly shown in the payment page. The 4-week plan charged me in local money but the 1to1 which I was looking for was charged in dollars, this is not acceptable and this is what makes me think that even though the app is good but it is trying to swindle the customer. Now The refund is not done yet and I am unable to apply the refund through the process shown on the app. Kindly help me in my refund please.

How can without any notification or any approval a subscription will start?
I haven’t accepted any auto renew or for any subscription and you guys have been debiting the amount even after cancelling the subscription?
I have raised tickets and contacted you guys in your email no response yet.
Whom ever is buying the plan make sure to 1st cancel the subscription because the BetterMe won’t ask your approval and directly start auto debiting your amount and coming to the customer support part? That is terrible.
They have mentioned that it depends on their team to give us a refund or they can even deny depending upon the reason.

poor customer service
i signed up for a week’s subscription and they charged me for the whole month. i have been emailing every day but have got no response whatsoever. there is no answer and no one is getting back to me. i am a student and cannot afford to lose money like this. automatic renewal is an option i specifically unticked and yet they charged me for the WHOLE month which is something I CANNOT AFFORD. this is absolutely unacceptable and and what is even more unprofessional is nobody getting back to me. i have rents to pay and a college fee to deal with. 35 euros is a lot of money for someone like me. A BIG MISTAKE subscribing for even a week. please get back to me and refund my money. at this point i’m literally begging these rich organisations that feel like no one can touch them and they don’t owe an answer to no one. HORRIBLE.

Fraud !!
Do not sign up on this app. They are fraud. The app showed me an offer to which I signed up & later without my notification they charged me an extra amount to 39.9 dollars which I didn’t even sign up for. I have been constantly following up with the team for my refund but I have not received any response from them yet. I going to post this on Twitter as well.. you cannot fraud people into signing up for things & looting them without any notification just because you have there card details !!!

Revised Review
I would like to amend my original review. I was under the impression that the app is a scam. But their customer support got in touch with me and helped me with my refund. Im sure this is a good app for people who want to change their lifestyle. However i do not think that the diets provided in the app are suitable for Indians as most of the diets have items that are not usually consumed by Indian.
If you need a refund, you would have to wait for a while. But be assured that you will get it.

Worst app, frauds
I saw its ad on Instagram and downloaded it thinking it will help me on diet plan so for this first i paid 2800 INR for 12 weeks plan which they supposedly said diet and workout plan and I proceeded further to find my diet plan they asked for 1600 INR more for 12 week personalised diet plan. Trusting them i paid that amount too thinking it will genuinely help me but to my surprise when i looked at my diet plan it showed all the continental and european diet that I cannot even prepare. I am an indian and I follow Indian diet. In the ads they showed all the indian dishes and here after paying 4300 INR they shows me just options of continental dishes. This is truly unprofessional and now I believe how fake this application is that it just want people’s money and break their trust. I am so disappointed and disheartened. Never will I recommend this app to anyone . Frauds.
