Don’t use this app if the data is important to you and if you are planning to scan a large number of pages. I scanned around 70 pages and corrected their colour and border. When I hit save as PDF, it showed “could not save PDF” and all the captured data was gone. It happened 3 times with me. Also saved files go missing sometimes. My take on this app:
1. Don’t use for important documents. If at all using to scan, export to any other app for safe storage.
2. Don’t use if planning to scan large documents. After all your effort, file might not get saved. Frustration !! (A tip especially for all hypertensive individuals 😄)

Auto deletion of scans without user’s intervention. Today I saved a pdf and instead of getting saved it was completely wiped out of the app and that file was extremely important to me. Between scans it says that the app has unexpectedly quit. The problem doesn’t seem to be getting solved. With school being online and everything else being virtual, it is sad to see that an app like adobe scan which was earlier doing scanning so smoothly is now down in the dumps and the service to the app is very poor. It was not expected that an app used in all fields should provide such poor service to its users. Also there is no point in writing these reviews if there is no change made. So kindly go through the reviews instead of ignoring it otherwise no one will use this app.

This has solved very minor problem which relieves us from doing lots of work. To scan a document is hectic with printers, if we don’t have one then we should go to the shop and and wait for the person and do the scanning job which consumes lots of time and energy and mainly money(1 page scanning costs ₹10) . This app is perfectly done, any user can use it easily without any pain. Best part is we can create pdf document directly from the app. Thanks to Adobe for solving our problems 😊

Very useful to scan to pdf. The document scanner is excellent. It scans quickly, compresses the pdf file well and has many small functionalities that are really useful. Very easy to then upload several documents at one go to your preferred cloud. Easily a 5* app but for one improvement required. The card scanner should provide useful functions such as saving directly to preferred cloud providers and automatically saving the scanned card to your Contacts in one single step. But overall a very good scanning tool and as it is not a chinese app like (s)CamCard Adobe can be trusted with your data

I downloaded Adobe Scan as a replacement for CamScanner app I was using earlier for my quick scans.
In terms of features it’s neck to neck with the CamScanner.
However when it comes to data security it’s way better than the Chinese counterpart as Adobe meets strict compliance requirements as per the country theory operate in.
Overall brilliant app just wish that the top level features were also free or more economically priced.

This app is super awesome. I searched the whole App Store but can’t find and app with no ads and signature. New feature like creating folder and choosing paper size is very useful for business person and school students. Settings like default pdf name and auto capture are very helpful and even saves most of our time. And the main thing is that you have unlimited cloud storage, you can create edit and view your documents from anywhere. That’s why this app is the best. It runs very smoothly and makes us do scanning more efficiently.

Before updating to the latest version, I was able to export photos to adobe scan from any app by clicking on the share button and then clicking the adobe scan icon. But after the latest update, the photos do not get exported on clicking the adobe scan icon from the share menu... on clicking the adobe icon from the menu, the app launches and then nothing happens next...
Hope the devs. will fix this soon.

After trying many useless document scanner apps from App Store which just want to either push useless ads or want you to pay up right at the beginning this app is like god sent, easy to use and delivers what one needs . Seamless integration with adobe cloud to access your documents on Mac / PC without having to manually mail or copy the scanned pdfs is like a cherry on the cake . Scanned 80 pages into 5 documents in like 8 mins. Couldn’t ask for more from a scanner ....6 stars to adobe .

I like the app because its interface is so simple and it exports quite easily. But the biggest issue I am facing is that even for the same size of paper it creates uneven size of paper. Some scan are very small while others of the right size. This is quite annoying and on Adobe community I found that this is a problem for many iOS users but still no change.

After 2 or more updates it started lagging and keeps on recognizing the text....i’v been waiting for the pdf to develop and i waited for almost 10 mins but it can not complete the process and suddenly crashes....adobe come on improve this CRASH thing and if i make 8 pages or 10 it keeps on recognizing the text but won't be able to make the pdf....which is really irritating and annoying....please developers improve the performance so we can work and make bigger PDFs in no time.

I've used cam scanner tap-scanner and all the other popular ones but Adobe scan is hands-down the best (Plus it's add free).
When you adjust the corners of a selection the zoomed preview of the area under you finger is shown in a different place (unlike in cam scanner which just magnifies the area in place, under your finger hence make it harder to really don't tune). I found this to be really thoughtful of the product team.

There are a lot of internet problems and the crop does not help it makes things worse I was taking pics of my baby on your app so I wanted to see all of the pages. But when I saw them cause of the crop it chopped all the heads and body of the picture. So it is useless. I am sorry I have rated your app 2 stars. I used this application for homeschool during lockdown and it really helped. There are many different types of features to edit your scanned work. The only problem is that even if I delete a scan, it is still there on my iPhone storage and it is occupying space.

Retake Option Missing

The Apps is sufficient and smooth but the only option missing is the “Retake” option once we proceed to next document/page.
The lack of this option posses a problem when we proceed further in the document making and after completing the whole document scan we find that certain page was not scanned properly we are left with no option to Retake that part.
Hope you will fix this and make this app a supreme leader of Scanner.

I needed this to upload files as pdf... this really does the job. I used Microsoft office lens before, but it is way better that that one. Haven’t found any crashes so far. Just a request to remove the limit of 50 pages as I often need to upload 60 to 70 pages at once

It’s a nice replacement app to Cam Scanner when some apps are restricted in India after some changes by Govt.. though need a few changes like Merging and splitting documents, after scanning page sizes in the same set of document looks different and which also effects the print out.. that’s the only problem I’m facing as of now..

I've been using adobe scan for a month and I really like the app interface and the functionality. Kept uploading hand written notes since a week which had reached 80 pages till date, after scanning today's work, saving file to some time and suddenly the app closed (also called as app crashed). It still closed when i relaunch the app and try to read the same document. Thanks for the feature "save photos" that popped right away after I relaunched the app which still ended up in closing the application.

Two concerns:
1. While working with multiple images, app is crashing several times and all the work done is lost. Have to redo it again.
2. Cloud uploading is not required for every document. There should be an option to turn off the sync to cloud. Should leave it lo user preference.
Unless these are fixed, not so reliable at present.

I installed this app as an alternative to Camscanner and right away realized that it is very slow comparatively. Since it doesn’t print its signature on every page, I ignored the speed lag. But recently I tried to scan a bigger sized document (about 30 pages long), the app started crashing and at first I thought “no problem it might happen sometimes” but this app beats my idea of exception and kept crashing after several retrials. Googled the problem and tried all unreasonable stuff. Finally, after 20 or so reattempts the app deleted all scanned pages by itself and left me giving it one star and a bad review. Come on Adobe... be better!!! After being such a huge giant it is unfortunate to say that Adobe is not working upto expectations.

Have been using this since some time now and I find it great and easy to use. The only issue is it takes too much time to process the file and convert it completely to be able to share or save it. If this is improved, it would be 5 stars from my side.

Best alternative for CamScanner. Rather I should say, it is much better than CamScanner. The auto-click feature is truly awesome and very useful. The quality of scan is also very nice. The overall look of the app is also very good and the interface is very user-friendly! In one word it’s- “PERFECT”

It doesn’t allows to scan the documents pages at a stretch. Every time I click a photo and try to go on next page to click its picture, the app shows the previously clicked photo with various editing options! It’s nice that it has many editing options but I would like to edit all the pages together after I click/scan all the pages together of the document. Clicking single pictures and then again coming back from the edit section to continue clicking again is time consuming and tedious. If y’all could add that feature in the next update then it would have been truly a great help!

I was using cam scanner for last few years. But after making first pdf on adobe scan i have fallen in love with this app. It makes my work so easy and fast. Great features. The best feature of the app is cleaning a file. It helps remove dark spots or unwanted writings in a pdf file. Great smart app. Love it totally.

I used similar app for few years (that was the best before Adobe launches this) and now use Adobe Scan - its exceptional. The way Scan detects a document when camera is on is just perfect - even on white background pages are auto-detected very quickly. Quality of the scan and user experience are awesome.

Great app, helped a lot with daily office work, become habit, now after updating the app to latest version it’s not letting me sign in, tried both ways with google and Facebook, after successful putting in the user Name and password it comes back to sign in page and stays there. App support page is also not responding, please help. Js

Doesn’t allow manual capturing of scan image so it takes lot of time and also it goes one page by one page for boundaries n edges to save image PDF page . Hope adobe will improve n allow page edge edit after finishing capture of all pages when multi page document is being scanned

Great software better then cam scanner in a few ways, but cam scanner provides many benefits without buying in-app purchase wish it also had that.
But for sure, its a perfect application with a dew AI difficulties when it sometimes automatically crop out required stuff, which i think it will overcome after a few upgrades. Because of this, it's challenging to use this app occasionally.
Overall its a great product with a great future ahead.
App is good but not ideal for big tasks.

This app is great & better than most small apps currently on the App store.
But this is not ideal for creating large number of pages.
I am a student and I find it a bit annoying while creating pdf of my Notebooks.
There is restrictions of selecting 50 photos at a time. You have to click on Album icon again for next 50 photos.
And the processing is also bit slow takes a lot of time in importing & struggles in recognising the pages (it crops certain portion) have to resize & check each pages. Which makes it a time consuming app as you cannot rely on its recognition.
Once I trusted & had to make the pdf again of 120 pages (by checking each page manually this time).
What I am basically trying to say that this app is not perfect & avoid this if you’re into making pdf of your Notes (which you might be looking to do).
It needs a lot of refinement too app makes my iPhone heat.
Besides I am using iPhone 6s and I think A9 processors still has sufficient computation power to process the pages faster.

This app helped me save my energy and time in college in so many ways. I would simply use the app to scan my own notes and read on the go instead of taking all the copies. Also I scanned some essays and articles and shared with friends on WhatsApp. It lets you create lovely PDFs with very little effort and can be saved, shared and modified.
Thank you to the developers as it is my most favourite app.

I am using this app mainly for scanning business cards and adding them to my contacts directly.
I am satisfied with the results however it can further be improved as many times it leaves some contact numbers mentioned on the card and never takes the designation, company name & office address to the contacts. If these are also added in contacts, it would be great.... i hope to see updates incorporating these features shortly...

Positive: easy to use and quick. Suggestions: would have been good if it has features like editing, or writing with PEN on it. 2. There should be some click if you want to auto detect and click pictures. Rest i loved the app.
Also it doesnt allow to update review- why the hell it keeps popping to provide nick name and never accepts. Crap for review part. Frustrating.

I am confused by the way restrictions have been added in Adobe because there have been enhancements but at the same time basic stuff like sharing your own files have been made very difficult unless, may be, one subscribes to the service. It leave me thinking as to what is the objective of the company. Do they want to keep it free or move to a pay as you use model?? Right now it sits in the middle.

I love it. A few things to improve on. If the auto capture takes an inaccurate photograph, there should be a retake the last picture option. There should also be a join two pdfs option as well as a continue from last page of pdf in order to add more pages option.

Very useful app... adobe scan is intelligent scanner which is scanning automatically and adjusting the colour automatically.... also it has one feature, if you scan the business card then it is automatically giving pop up and loading the data before saving in the contacts

I had to send some documents and There were no source to scan and send docs as pdf so I tried Adobe Scan and it was just a matter of seconds. You can save your pdf files on iCloud, local storage in your phone, scan and attach in email and other social media. Its really amazing, easy and more convenient than other Apps. Try and enjoy.
