Case in point ordered 2 biryanis today at 7:35pm. Got message for dispatch at 8:45 pm with message that it will reach in 13 minutes. Now even at 9:20 pm the delivery has still not happened. Now message coming that rider has taken few more orders for delivery and will take more time. No number of delivery guy available on app to call. No tracking possible to see where is the delivery guy!
Finally received stale and cold biryanI at 9:45 pm. Full 130 minutes after order and 60 minutes after dispatch message. Terrible to say the least! Seems my last order here.

The Biryani taste is average but the delivery service, customer care and app tracking is horrible. According to their app one has to order 90 mins before but now they take 90 mins just to cook and after multiple calls to customer care the order gets finally dispatched. Almost every delivery takes 2 hours.

It takes usually 90+ minutes to deliver every time, not because it is cooked slowly but they don’t have enough delivery boys. Single person covers 2-3 deliveries which are not near.
There is no option in app to connect to customer service, after clicking on help it asks for delivered food feedback before actual delivery.

Today We ordered Kathal Biryani, Galouti Kabab and some sweet from Biryani by Kilo (website) and we received our food from Mahakali caved road outlet. The Kathal Biryani is completely disaster,, after eating their food, me and mother are suffering from food poisoning and loose motions, vomiting... I didn't have the strength to call so I called the customer care number after 1 hour to raise a complaint and highlight the issue.. but their customer care team is so rigid that they are not accepting the complaint and not even apologised instead they are giving clarification of their food preparation.
Worst food, worst taste, worst customer care service, zero customer centric... pathetic food by biryani by Kilo.. worst Biryani of my life.. if you people are ready to take the risk then you can order from Them. Local Biryani stalls serves better Biryani than this foodchain.

My first order experience with BBK yesterday was a bad one. Firstly, it took over one and half hours to deliver. And they say that’s normal! The pack contained all types of non-value ornamental stuff of clay like heavy handis, lamps to warm etc. By the way, there also was a trace of biryani at the bottom of each handi, barely enough for a weak-tummy person, though they mention that it is enough for 1–2 persons. The tase was good.
My advice, shed all rubbish and deliver only value to your customers. After all, the price we pay is not small.

Ordered this biryani from biryani by kilo… We ordered both veg hyderabadi biryani and chicken biryani. The packaging is just wow. I always wanted to order and taste from Biryani By Kilo as it was trending all over in social media. The highlight is that they send it in a matka and weighs probably around 2kg. Vegetables and flavours in the biryani are really good as well as the flavour of basmati rice is good. Phirni is outstanding and loved it to core. Definitely, the galouti kebab with mint chutney is lovely. Overall experience from biryani by kilo is really good and would recommend everyone. It’s a must try. A small matka and candle will be given to heat the biryani which is a added highlight.

For starters I ordered the Chicken Seekh kabab, I was really happy with the quantity and it comes with the side of delicious mint chutney. The Seekh kababs itself was quite juicy but only if it’s hot.
The biryani here are served in these big sealed matka pots. And their USP is to provide a mini stove to pre-heat your biryani just before you eat it. I found this idea to be really cool and unique. Coming to the taste, I ordered the chicken boneless biryani. The biryani was perfectly layered and the chicken was cooked well. Although I expected it to have more of the chicken masala than then rice. Nevertheless I was happy with mixing it with the side of Salan they provided.
To end on a sweet note I had the phirni which was silky smooth and not too sweet. And yes this is served in a matka too to keep it cool.
Overall packaging is great. No spillage of any substance and the food was warm when it was delivered.

Biryani by kilo is slightly different from the usual biryanis.
They have biryani prepared in layers.. Biryani comes in three layers which is slowly cooked.
The delivery comes with 2 candles and a extra pot..
If the buryani handi has turned cold by the time it’s delivered.. the extra pot can be placed below the biryani handi and the candles can be lit so that the aroma of spices can be sealed inside the handi and the freshness of flavours can be intact inside the handi.
Coming to the taste.. the Biryani was really good and I loved the freshness of flavours in it. The pieces were big enough..
the quantity was more than expected..
I also tried the kebabs.. it had the right amount was spices and tasted really good.
The Phirni was really yummy 🤤
Loved it the most.. do not forget to the order the phirni with biryani.

Yesterday I've ordered 3 preperations from biryani by kilo. I took a Murgh Hyderabadi Biryani, Sheekh kebab and a firni. 1/5 kilo biryani was enough for 2 of us. And it was amazing. Rice and chicken both were soft and spices mixed properly. Kebabs were soft also and tasty. And in this list we took a 1/2 kilo phirni which was amazing and recommended. The food is undoubtedly fresh. The mutton n chicken are soft and juicy and the meat was well marinated. The tikkas and kebabs are to die for, although spicy for my liking. But if u love spice there also a little bit of sugar to complete the package- this matka phirni which is a phenomenal experience for all those with a sweet tooth. They also give an anch to heat the biryani in the clay pot so it’s anyday better than microwaving. The imli adraki lemonade is a refreshing twist to the jaljeera and goes well with their cuisine. My first order done in their system. First off all, the app said it will take 90 min. This was my first disappointment for me. Who waits for 90 min to get the order. But still I thought, let’s try. I placed with online payment by 12:18pm on Sunday afternoon, hoping to get by 1:50pm atleast. But by 2:30pm, order was not delivered even when I called their Customercare/restaurant. Waited for 150 min or 2hr and 30 min for my order to finally come. They took 40 rupees for packing, it’s okay, everyone takes. But atleast pack it properly. The whole package was upside down. Kya karu, we were hungry, we had to take it. All the raita, and curry was spilled across the package. Managed to eat Biryani finally at 3pm as we were so hungry. Don’t try them ever. I am sure I will not.

We have previously ordered and enjoyed their food. Today we ordered a Chicken biryani, a Kabab platter and a separate Galouti Kabab plate. They Seriously need to check their meats specially in this summer! The galouti on tasting was Sour and smelt bad and we immediately called their customer service who was so unhelpful. He asked us to send a picture of the Kababs that were with us to ‘See how many we had eaten’! I immediately sent him a pic as we had definitely not eaten the smelly rotten Kababs. He told us he can only replace it and not give a refund for that dish. The food takes a little over an hour and half to reach us and we were already half done with dinner .. so replacement didn’t make sense .. also, clearly the batch of meat was spoilt and it made no sense risking it again. His final call was Sorry, but we can’t refund, only replacement is possible .. so my husband said to let it be.
Thanks to Zomato’s professionalism that issued us a refund right after we brought it to their notice, and I’d like to thank them for being considerate. Although we never expected this from BBK! #biryanibythekilo #zomato

The quality of the biryani and especially the texture of the meat has gone down dramatically. It is no longer the premium biryani it used to be. For us it was the last time we ever ordered from BBK. We all know how hard it is to find a perfect Biryani. But guess where I found one? Right here at Biryani by kilo ! I used to believe more quantity means compromise on the quality but they proved me wrong. I had to try their Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani and it was just great. Great flavours, great chicken, great Dum, just great. I also tried their Chicken Korma. Team it with their Ulta Tawe ka Paratha and you’ll find a wonder. What an amazing combination ! The best part was that I ordered all of this at home and it still was so fresh and warm. The packaging was very fascinating yet sturdy that kept the food intact. Hyderabadi Veg Biryani: Long and amazing rice with aroma of indian spices like clove, cardamom and saffron.. slowly cooked rice with veggies like carrots, cauliflowers and french beans in a mughlai style with amazing gravy 😻 And garnished with fried onions.. and not just that, when they deliver it to your home, they give a chulhaa sort of thing too! You can heat that earthern pot filled with Biryani in that chulhaa and savour it! Super duper delicious!
Paneer Nawabi with Ulte Tawa ka Parantha: Soft chunks of paneer with a mild and delicioys gravy and served with soft and think paranthas! So so gooood! 😻
This place will take you to a different level of contentment! 😻 Such an amazing experience after such a long time! Biryani served in an authentic style in handi with curd and onions. Woww!

Here is my experience. tried for the first time in noida . Suggested it to whole faculty at iit Kanpur and ordered it multiple times.
When shifted just behind the gate in a society you deliver first time and then next time you say we can’t deliver to your location after receiving the order and payment. Either don’t take the order or when you take it plz deliver.
Taste is good service is poor.

Why wouldn't anybody want to order from a place that has been following all safety measures with such safely packed boxes and with their kitchens properly sanitized. Considering these factors, I had the trust in Biryani by kilo and they surely kept that trust intact.
I ordered chicken seekh and paneer nawabi.
Chicken seekh was served in a box which had around 7-8 chicken seekh pieces which was nicely packed and served with mint chutney and onions. Chicken seekh pieces were soft and juicy.
Paneer nawabi was delivered in an handi which was nicely sealed from the top. Also it was very creamy and had ample paneer pieces which made it a value for money dish. I thoroughly enjoyed and had a great experience even in this pandemic.

This app is pathetic and needs a major redesign. While searching for the location the text is white on a white background- it’s literally invisible. I had to play with it for half an hour to find the area I live in. The location is also not precise - not at all - the location shown is of a few square kilometres. Good luck finding my house!!

This app helps in speedy ordering. Great UI. always wanted to try out Biryani by kilo for a reason, finally I had the chance to taste this delicious biryani. The packaging is upto the mark and very authentic. Also tried the chicken korma which was equally delicious. The process of heating the biryani is old school and so cool to retain all the flavours. The quality of basmati rice used is excellent. It was accompanied by Salan. No artificial colours are used to prepare biryani.

Biryani by kilo has always been my favourite be it in terms of food quality or their packaging, they haven’t ever disappointed and neither did this happen with my order this time. The food quality was just so good, rather I feel the experience gets better every time I order with timely delivery, great safe packaging and amazing food, their chicken biryani is just so good, love the aroma and quantity.

Biryani cravings are totally justified when you haven’t been able to step out of the house for months!! After a long time getting some amazing Biryani was like getting heaven on earth. And no wonder I had to celebrate ordering food by ordering Biryani from one of my most favourite places - Biryani by Kilo
They serve the most amazing and mouth watering Biryani and gravies you could ever taste. Right from the presentation to the taste everything is top notch and worth every rupee.
To compliment the Biryani I also ordered their Chicken Korma which is absolutely the best korma I’ve ever tasted. The flavours, the marination, the consistency is just perfect and it couldn’t get any better.
Fun fact: they also send in a potable flame and pot which you can use to reheat your Biryani!!! This had to be the coolest thing I have ever seen for a food delivery
Absolutely enjoyed and loved every bit of it. Would highly recommend because you do not want to miss out on this. 🥵👌🏻

I ordered 1 kg Kolkata chicken Biryani from Pune, Wanwori yesterday. As per definition, it will serve 3 to 4 people and it will have 4 pcs of chicken with potato and 2 boiled eggs. It was not sufficient for 2 adults. The bad part is the quantity and the size of chicken pcs. When I opened it, the handi was 25% empty and the chicken pcs were so small that I was surprised. It costs Rs. 760 for 1 kg plus delivery charge plus GST which is costly for sure but I expected it will serve proper quantity and better chicken pcs. Also, the quality and type is nowhere near to Kolkata Biryani since I am originally belonged to Kolkata and I know how Kolkata Biryani should smell and taste. Overall not satisfied with my first try and hope not to take chances anymore and waste money.

Service : Ordered online standing at the outlet. They said we can pickup in 30 min...waited waited...as it was taking more time, told to deliver to my home which is just 400mtrs from the store...waited waited for another 1:30 hrs, not delivered. Finally canceled and then they says the refund will be done in 3 days. Such a horrible and pathetic service.
Food: we saw that they cook rice in aluminum vessel which is absolutely bad, and the boys inside the kitchen doesn't use gloves...everything done with bare hands. Better avoid such un hygienic outlet..

Ordered from Mohali outlet yesterday. The order was placed in afternoon for an evening dinner. The delivery came well in time, & was pipping hot. The delivery boy
( Mr Snadeep) was proffessional and well behaved. He explained how to heat the biryani again if needed, with the candles provided.
The packaging of biryani was in earther pots and heating base was another of the earthern vessel.
Everyone was happy with the delicious food and hasselfree delivery. We will surely like to order again.
However, the only thing of concern was the plastic used in packing the raita n salad, the containers & the cello tapes.. i would hope they will surely find a way to become 100% eco friendly in near future..

This was the first time I ordered a home delivery from BBK. The Lucknowi Chicken Biryani was nice and I not only enjoyed the taste of the food but also it’s overall packaging was very attractive.
The Biryani rice used was good quality and the aroma was mouth watering. The rice was perfectly cooked but was a little bit dry. The chicken pieces were not very well marinated and the spices weren’t soaked in it.
Still I would give a high rating. I really enjoyed my food and assure to repeat my order very soon.

Ordered the first time from BBK and it was a disappointment. Keeping it authentic and primitive doesn’t solve the purpose if the food is not well cooked or prepared.. Galauti Kebabs had onion rings n no taste at all. I had to order my supper again from a different food corner I don’t wanna name.. This can’t be a choice of someone who knows the essence of real cooked meat.. Yes, if just the packaging of it makes your day go for it but for a desperate need of tase tap on some other food app.. Done for once and for all.. Do not take people’s money for granted.. These people can’t survive for long as they don’t know what they are doing.. Sell bread pakoras instead, my keen advice..

It was my first experience - very eagerly awaited the order .. We ordered Kolkata Gosht Biryani, Hyderbadi Malamaal Gosht (boneless) Biryani and Burani Raita..& my considered opinion is that -
1. The Kolkata Biryani had lovely aroma, light and different but unfortunately the mutton pieces were rather less in quantity and we very boney. In fact there were crushed small bone fragments too. The meat was very soft and well cooked but it quantity and the cutting (pieces) was rather disappointing.
2. The Hyderabadi Malamaal has good soft, well cooked pieces and in good quantity but a wee bit spicy. The black pepper seemed high in quantity.
3. Burani Raita was different stuff and good but I wish the garlic was a little less and the total rate was less salty.
But overall ... I'll try again.

I recently ordered food from the Sector -41 outlet of this restaurant in Noida and the food arrived after 3 hours delay.
First the delivery executive sent it to the wrong address and even after asking speaking with the Customer care person for Biryani by Kilo they refused to acknowledge their mistake and regardless send the food order to the wrong address.
After speaking to the restaurant manager he agreed to send the food again and when the food arrived, after 3 hours, it was accompanied by no condiments, cutlery, chutneys, or the heating items like candle etc. that usually accompany their order. The biryani was tasteless and the kebabs were dry.
TERRIBLE experience of having food from biryani by Kilo and complete lack of accountability from the staff.
Such marketting gimmicks like selling in a handi should be avoided by restaurants when they cannot gaurantee customer service or good food quality. Shame on you Biryani by Kilo.

Extremely horrible experience. We ordered for one 1/2 kg veg biriyani via biriyani by kilo app, after we received the order we checked that they have sent us a non veg biriyani (chicken)
Called the store to complain and the guy seems so reluctant named irfaan. They don’t even understand how serious it is. Extremely poor and pathetic service. Would never ever order again and will tell each and everyone about the experience. I wish I could report it to the police and higher authority.

I have been a lover of biriyani and earlier have rated BBK as 5 star. However, as it happens most of the times with restaurants, they start off well and then fail to sustain.
This is second time BBK delivered uncooked Kolkata Mutton Biriyani. Today, after placing the order using my BBK app, I specifically called up the customer care to tell them to cook the mutton properly to make it tender.
Utterly disappointed as I had ordered for my guest with high hopes of treating them with some nice biriyani. While eating we realised the following:
- Rice was not cooked properly
- Mutton was not at all eatable. It was half cooked.
- The spices/ flavors were not in the right proportion which spoilt the entire flavor of the biriyani.
Well, I have given BBK some honest feedback earlier so that they can improve, but all in vain.
For a biriyani costing INR~800, I wasted my money. I wont order BBK anymore and will go back to Hangla’s, Peetuk & Other well known Biriyani joints.
