Usually it’s enough if the remote is paired just once but in iPhone 13 pro it asks to pair for every use. Adding more to pain need to pair it twice.

It constantly keeps on asking for TV pairing code whenever the app window switches to foreground. Can’t believe Google decided to abandon development of this app. update April’21: It’s unnerving that developer support site has no means to contact developers. Seems like only one moderator is giving canned responses to user’s grievances around using this app by copy/pasting responses to delete app and install it again. The problem is that this app needs an update and it seems like Google LLC has abandoned development of this app completely.

Can’t believe Google made it.. Everytime I want to use this app instead of my Smart TV remote, I have to pair my TV again and again... which now makes the app an obsolete one.
Also, no volume controls and way too many lags will often embarrass and disappoint you.

I have the Mi TV 4A Pro. The app detects and connects immediately without any additional settings to be changed (no separate server, or TV settings required). Previously the Google Assistant mic button didn't work, but the latest version fixed that too.
But it loses 1 star because the app doesn't have buttons for volume control. The only workaround is to hit Assistant mic and say "Volume 20". But that's Google's's feature, not the app's.
