cant see indices. Have to switch tabs once to see indices value. This bug is from a long time.
I have applied for the Paytm IPO which was not not issued to me and i never got the refund and it’s almost 10 Days now and i also applied through groww and i received the refund in 3 days only and this is why i tried to contact the customer service they always put me on hold for 1 hour-2hour than they end the chat and i have to do again and again. This is my biggest mistake to create and account in UPSTOX.

I opened account like 2 years ago now i cleared all my payments and there is a holding that i cant sell no matter what i do hence i cant close my account tried hours of contacting with chat executives all are noobs no help wasting my time and money
I am using upstox from 2 years they are charging qmc and trading fees too much . But they free amc to new accounts a big gambling company they don’t even respond correctly and trades get canceled due to technical errors . Just skip upstox for trading , there much better trading platforms with minimal charges and better performance.
I request the developers to use Zerodha and compare with your app. You will realize then how worst your app is.
I have opened an account with you 10 days back and opted only cash and MF segment. But your app doesn’t allow to place an order says Segment is not active.

I would prefer zerodha over upstox for two reasons,
1. Upstox won’t show the price while buying any stock
2. There is no basket feature where as zerodha has this option.

This is a major issue Margin is never shown while placing limit order in equity or options which is a negative whereas the Upstox pro web app doesn’t show the margin as well.

I had an issue with the display of charts on my iphone 12 pro and I’ve reported the issue several times in the last 3 months and the developers have still not resolved the issue.
They used to ask me to create a ticket and then after certain time they used to close the ticket themselves and send me a mail that my issue has been resolved and when I called the customer care regarding the same, I was forced to open a new ticket and till now I’ve opened more than 15 tickets and I’m really fed up with the service team. Charts are really important when it comes to trading and the charts in this app has not been working since 3 months. I got fed up and I opened zerodha account. I suggest that you guys also do the same.
I have been trying to sell mutual funds on the app but it’s been more than a week that I am not able to sell it because the app does not open the CDSL page for authorising the same transaction. The customer care service representative also does not understand the importance of time in stock market and they take their own pleasure time to respond. Earlier also when I tried selling my stock at Rs X, the page responsiveness was so slow that by the time I could place the order the price of the stock went down drastically. Sometimes feel that the services from the old age brokers were much better than this new age mobile application.
In my whole life first time wrote the feedback because I’m frustrated about the service which given by upstox. I using upstox last 1 year from past 3 months I wrote to many times to customer service and upstox about my segment activation there is no any single reply i unable to make trading in equity NSE as well as BSE I submitted my bank statement as well as salary slip but there is no any response till now I am using hdfc securities which is the best one just one thing friends don’t go for this type of brokers just open demat with your own bank they will provide u good service.
They have many bugs in their application because of which i have faced heavy loss. When contacted customer service agent, he agreed and said we’ll raise an ticket on your behalf and same was shared by me i attached screenshot as evidences of the bugs and was said they’ll get it resolved within 24 hours, but now it’s more than 12 days i have been continuously following up but no proper response. Infact my calls are been disconnected after they listen to my complain and if i ask them to transfer it to some senior person. Today I contacted almost 5 customer service agent and everytime my calls were disconnected when i asked to transfer my call to someone senior there. Even the newbies are giving better customer services than upstox. My self was using 5paise before but downloaded uptox for better experience and it turned out to be the worst.
I want uptox to resolve my isse and compensate the loss which I suffered because of their application bug.
Latest update has a bug where app crashes immediately upon opening it up. This is either a poorly planned table structure migration or not thinking through common edge cases. Not sure if relying on such a poor team of developers is worth it. No monitoring and reliability in place to detect these crashes and roll back changes. How are we feeling safe using their applications. Even their night blockades are a mess, cannot check your details after 1 am. Some of the best apps don’t need downtime to perform KTLO activities. At least not 4 hours everyday. They seem to have done it to avoid on-calls at night. Pretty selfish architecture (whatever exists)
Top it up with canned responses from the developer: please click on XYZ link and we will get back to you. Well, I’m not repeating the concerns again, just for you to be lazy. Feel free to forward it to your dev/product teams.
1. The back button on Upstox Application is not working properly on iOS 13 and above. Eg: 1. Open App -> Watchlist -> Click on share -> Back Button (Have to press 3-5 times, very bad UI Design)
2. Open App ->Orders->All -> Any order -> Back Button (Same issue) 2. Now the app is stuck in its initial screen. Deleted the app and downloaded again now i am not able to login. Already created a support ticket but the response is very late.
3. The app crashing when ever i am trying to open. Facing this issue since past 3 days. Please do something about this issue.

I have opened the Upstox account around 5 weeks ago and I have even paid the account opening charges, which is Rs. 359. The problem that I am facing is I have done my KYC with e-Mudra and the uneducated people from Upstox are constantly calling me and asking me to link my Adhaar with my Phone by saying that this is the company policy. The problem is my Adhaar is not linked with my phone number and that is the reason why in the first place I signed up for e-Mudra and paid the charges. And now these low lives from Upstox are saying my account opening charges are non-refundable. These low lives do not understand that if I had my Adhaar linked with my phone number in the first place then I would have already done it. NOW GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND DO NOT BRAG ABOUT YOU COMPANY POLICY. I don’t care about your company policy I care about my money and return that now.
i’m a trader and investor from past 4 years and have used couple of other brokers, upstox has the best convenience, i have 11 accounts here and i use all of them actively. upstox has a wide range of strike price selection where other brokers are thinking about their own and not the user and block certain strikes. placing trades on upstox is really easy and convenient. prices are also good and reasonable. loving it thanks for helping me upstox. ♥️🥂

Sometime the latest stock values are not loading and you have to close and open app again, another bug in chart clear all selection, not able to delete single indicator from the list in iPad, the color of indicators and not loading on second time, also please consider horizontal view in iPad, it’s really difficult using

After using upstox for almost 2 months now there are many issues that the app creates there is no specified data for charges that are occured to us as a trader from upstox the only thing that is there is withdraw and deposit option other than that there is no column for brokerage that it takes from us and the funds which are kept after selling the stocks in the name of T2 and T1 days are totally a big stupidity for a small investor like me it is never possible to get new funds everytime after selling my stocks and wait for my money. Totally unhappy i think it is time to switch from the app
It’s a good app but needs more to be best. Need to add open interest in charts of futures. Needs few more types of orders. Needs to resolve color coding of stocks, even if stock is negative in the day but any uptick in price is shown as green which some time confuses. Can color highlight the stocks which are either in holding in the watch list or right in position. Charting speed is bit slower. The chart shown as thumbprint when app is opened in watch lists should have choice of time period.
I think It seems some bugs, If we make some studies like adding charts, moving averages, as well as MACD, pivot points etc with user chosen colours, at first while adding, it seems in the selected colour after that when we close the app and re open it, or when we select another company in watch list or in portfolio.. Then all the selected colours of common studies like MACD, moving averages, pivot points even volume chart colour etc...also turns into white colour and make the user difficult and confusing to use these features. I Hope improving the app and making new feature rich updates will be made earlier ASAP...Thank you
It buys/sells on “market” price immediately even when we put limit orders.
Sometimes it doesn’t cancel the order even after pressing “cancel” button multiple times.
Idk what happened but once I put a sell order and after getting sold, the stock still appeared on my portfolio. On checking order list, I found a buy order that just automatically got placed i guess.
It’s troubling. Especially buy/sell on “market” price immediately even when we put limit orders.
In positions , the avg price and last traded price should be there. Secondly When I take the trade then it’s difficult to always calculate how much amount I need to pay for the specific trade and how much funds do I have. Please add both of these into dialog box of buy and sell. Thirdly Market depth too should be below limit order box, it would be easy to see the bidding price when we will place the limit order. Overall good app but these point should be taken into consideration. If I am not able to clear the things then you can see it on zerodha.
After having given them all the details, all documents, video uploads, account opening fee, multiple trials at account opening, these fraudsters have the gall to tell me to share my details with them on their website, as they want to resolve my query and these are not their standards..blah blah.
If you really have any standard then you guys should be ashamed and return the data and money of people like me who have been unable to open an account due to your protracted, pathetic and complicated process, and let me tell you there are a lot such people.

Overall a good app and I am happy so far. One issue though. In watchlist the complete price details change colour in accordance to the real time change in price of a stock or index in ticker. If price reduces everything turns red and green if the the price increases. And the colour remains same until another price change takes place. The current price, even though it is more than the previous close remains red if there is an instantaneous reduction in price. This is confusing. My suggestion is to maintain the colour of current price in relation to the previous closing price. If it is more than previous close, green otherwise red.
Request you to update all the options and presentations like kite zerodha app.
1. Please provide AMO and GTT options.
2. Portfolio presentation like kite zerodha.
3. Develop the reports like how kite zerodha is providing All the reports.
4. Whenever placing any buy or sell orders, it is taking more time to execute the orders. It’s always taking time in spinning and rotating. By the time it execute the transaction, market price will change, at our expected price we will not be able execute the transaction due to its delay and slowness. Kindly fix it.
This app had only one view and not supporting landscape mode, which will help you to check the chart and trade. This is not supporting multitask mode also and so many important features are not in this app where you have to use those on web browser, I tried to open it in Crome browser but it is redirecting to install app. If you want to trade on tab or mobile better to switch to other broker like zerodha(I am suggesting this because Upstox will never listen us, so I am not expecting them to fix these issues). One more point to this even web browser not working properly these days.
Everytime I change the scrip position I have to close the app and reopen it to get in desired place. I told this to their executive who called me at least a couple of weeks ago & asked me for positive feedback but still the problem is as it was. Hangs up so many times. Worst customer service, hard to connect first then different executives say different things for same problem. Lost money the very first day as app crashed & wasn’t provided with TPIN by sales executive. Customer service executives were not aware what to do, asked me to create the TPIN but didn’t know how, no link was provided & after a week or so was sent a TPIN. Sales executive who helped me opening an account never told me of TPIN requirement & blocked me when I asked her to help me create the TPIN
I have been using this app since last year and have got the referral bonus upon adding new users. The platform is simple and can be used perfectly for daily trading. If you want to experience a smooth market access with reliable technical resources then choose upstox, just one bad thing is sometimes login attempts fails due to some bad bugs or issues for which you may not buy or sell your marketable securities which is frustrating if you lose your money because of it but I hope the problem is fully resolved now, other than that it’s really awesome.
Most important thing in stock market is timing and with this app you are going to miss that some time or the other. On 1st Feb 2021, I invested in intraday morning 9:30am, post 10:30 i tried to increase my profit line/sell value but i was not able to login with some “ALGNF1004” error displayed. I was trying to login from multiple devices and finally got in at 4:30pm when markets were closed.
This was not inly the issue with my app, tried to logout, uninstall and reinstall, login from web which also didn’t work for me.
This was frustrating. Opened account with zerodha same evening and waiting for my new credentials.
From my experience I will ask everyone to stay away from upstox. Their servers are unstable and cannot handle load. You will enter into trades and then their servers will go down. You will not be able to login and book profit. Worse is when you cannot stop your losses. This happened on the day of budget 2021 announcement when their server was down from 1pm till 5pm. People lost thousand as they were unable to login and close their trades. Upstox don't have customer service. You have to open a ticket and hope someone gets back to you to even know something is wrong. You have better luck on updates on twitter where thousands are complaining.
Every month more than once this happens.
So avoid upstox till the time the platform is mature enough to provide stability and confidence to its investors.
There is No 2 step verification to login into account if someone has my pan number and user id he/she can easily login through my account and trade , Atleast I Hope Upstox will fix that soon and add more security like otp on mobile number or authenticator apps.

Hello all, Generally I don’t write review but can’t bear now, I opened the account with paying all their relevant fees and now I can’t even login this app, tried number of time to reset the password and every time it’s showing error so uninstalled app and tried again but still same error, I also tried through their portal but again no luck. My suggestion whoever is searching of trading app plz exclude this app from your search list because if your hard earned money got stuck in this app then imagine post scenario. Hope the developer of this app get sort basic error correct first and then expect for trading.
I will tell you about my experience. First of all, I choose an offer of Rs 354/- which includes 1 year premium subscription of money control app & other 2 offers. I haven’t got any promo codes or email for the same. They are not even responding to my calls. I have tried almost 20 times in a day on 4 customer care numbers mentioned on their website. But they never receive it or always busy.
I wasted both my money & time. Moreover if you raise ticket, it will never get resolved. You just receive an automatic robot mail. I’m just happy with my old broker “angel broking”. Please avoid Upstox. Their service is worst.i am going to deactivate my account.
This compels me to write this review. I’ve been trying to open account from March 2020, can you believe they have still not opened the account. After submitting all docs mentioned, still the e-sign process fails. And the worst is no one from Upstox knows how to fix it. Circling around, beating the bush, blaming the aadhar site these are the excuses they give. No accountability nor ownership, several different people contact and none knows the issue which means they do not have a tracking system or crm to document the issues reported by users. And other worst past is they have deducted money from my account and now here I’m without and assistance or refund.

Upstox exactly know when we need it the most so that it doesn’t work. I never could place any orders on any trending day. Most morning it doesn’t work. Sometimes I can’t even square off at the point i want as it doesn’t respond. Not only mobile app their website is even worse. Upstox is comparatively easy and user friendly but they server doesn’t work most of the time. They advertise everywhere that they have the best customer support and before you open the account any time there are millions of their representatives ready to help. Once you open your account and then they never respond never matter how many time you try to contact them or raise the ticker. Please these days call them downstox😂
Real time pricing is completely fake, it will show low price while placing the buy order, if you hit the buy option the price which you have to pay(average price) will be way more higher than the current love price, if the stock price increases and you decide to sell your holdings(intraday too) the selling price(average price) will be too low from the current love price, this company will cheat you in this manner, just shows prices to manipulate people accordingly based on your option to buy or sell, at the end of the day they will send you a bill through mail showing some charges which are meant to be waived off as per offer(1 month free from trading charges), if you try to contact customer care through mail, you will get a mail stating that your issue is resolved, but there will be no resolution. I was shown with good profits while trading but at the end of the day there comes a bill which eats off your profits completely and decreases additional amount from your wallet in Upstox application, finally after few days of use your funds in the wallet gets to undervalue and you will be regularly contacted by the customer care for the repayment.
Tried to open a 3 in 1 account on 22nd june, finished everything and successfully completed the process but till now ( 24th june ) there is no update regarding my account.
Don’t understand how these people are able to make fake promises as account could be created within 24 hours!

Worst service, phone numbers which displayed on website, are not reachable. Customer service is very bad. App specification is not provided. Cheaper broker. This application is hundred percent worst for iPhone. 90% login issue during morning session. Fund calculation is also not good. Deposit service is worst. They can take lots of charges of providing services. OTP cannot generate on time. So, possibility of loss can increase while selling. Overall worst service.

Review so far would tell you actual service and customer satisfaction. I would personally NOT recommend Upstox. It’s a trap. They have made very easy steps to create an account and it’s all digital and online. You don’t have to move from your chair and account is ready to use. But for some reason if you are not using it and wanted to delete the account then they will become a traditional government office where they will accept only hard copies. They will make you run. They tried to make this option not easy so that user would stay in and pay AMC charges.
So, stay away from Upstox.
The app is disgusting it’s having problems with logging , available option are not properly working, worst and disgusting thing I have ever seen on Store.... kindly fix it but I know you guys will never work on that because this complaints were given long before but still no progress on that ... you guys lose our hope...feeling mistaken for chosing your app and now after paying money for opening account thinking to change to zerodha which is better than this I recommend kindly others too not to waste your money with them here go for other apps before wasting your money like me
This is not for serious trading. If you are planning to use this for more than 10k avoid it. The iPhone app keeps freezing. The avg buy price is misleading. If you sell your stocks looking at the projected profits based on their avg price calculations, you will end up losing.
Occasionally Their payment processor Atom takes money from your bank account but does not recognise your deposit so you are made to wait for hours on a trading day before they add it. They suddenly decide to put a stock in z category even if you are using your own amount (not their margin) you will not be allowed to buy it and they don’t even send any intimation ahead of trading about what stocks they will not allow you to trade.
A best thing about Upstox is their dedication towards customer service, before sales and after sales. Various easy and convenient option to get in touch via realtime chat, call, email. Chat option is very reliable and convenient as anyone can chat through their top quality trading app, Upstox Pro. Trading from past 4 years with Upstox and very delightful with their responses every time. Bravo Team Upstox.
App is very great and customer support is good but there is one problem that all beginner investor face that if they want to know that if they trade in intraday so in buying option it should not show that upstox is providing that much margin for intraday and its hidden so its complicated
Please show this also that if we want to purchase shares worth ₹1000 in intraday that upstox will provides ₹500 margin and we have to invest ₹500 only for ₹1000 shares worth please update this and fix this issue because it is complicated for beginners like me. Please help me.
Backend employees are incompetent. They don’t resolve your problem. When you’ll raise a ticket they’ll just send a text that everything’s fine from their end and we should update the application in order to rectify the problem. Although mine is the updated version.
Been trying to change my password for several days now but the application is not redirecting me to the OTP page and also I am not receiving the OTP on my phone.
This is seriously very frustrating when you’ve shared all the required details with them and also paid the money but still not getting the services. This application has lost all of my trust, now I have a feeling that it’s a scam and not a legit application.
This app is so pathetic that it does not let me login in to my account during trading sessions. Same is the issue with the website. Because of this i have suffered losses. The support team is not at all quick to respond, they are inexperienced, they say this every time that from our end we could not find the issue, please check your internet connection, your version of etc. Is a user that stupid that he will not check all these things before reaching out to support.
Please delist your company and remove the website and app from appstore.

I recently started trading i was new in the world of trading i didn’t knew much about how to trade one of my friends suggested me to use this app for trading using upstox was very easy as well as efficient the services and gestures of applications was very clear and easy even as i was a new user it was very easy for me to operate.... doubts and problems were easily and quickly solved by customer executives even during this lockdown period service is fast
The app does have a great interface, the charts are really easy to read, but all of this is only useful if the app is able to function properly. But in the case of upstox, the app won’t even login during trading hours ( in the app as well as web ). However the app does work just fine once the markets are closed ( pun intended ). The disappointment is real, When you’ve prepared your trading strategies beforehand, added funds and the app doesn’t work right when the markets open. Let’s say you’re lucky and able login after trying for 2- 6 hours, then comes issues like delayed orders, ghosting on you while using the app, etc.

Now a days so many apps are coming in the market..but this is very use full to new traders..here my issue is Iam using this app in IOSmobile..in iOS future and option is not showing..so many times I requested through mail to upstox..may b in corona time they did not attending my mail..hope it will update in iOS app also
It’s a worst trading app, it gets hanged in morning at 9.15 to 10 and after 3 to 3.30,
Sometimes you put order it goes it disappears don’t know where it goes or sometimes order places after 2-3 minutes when price moved to square off price and u will bear losses due to these morons, on Friday 9/4/20 i was unable to login till 10 am. It’s worst trading app, I think they don’t have enough infrastructure or server capacity to handle heavy numbers or order or their system is not able to handle that much clients, still they want to open new accounts, I suggest pls handle existing clients well and keep them happy.
I have opened the demat account from other online brokers but there were always a problem while processing the form and it was complicated but with Upstox pro application the account opening was so easy and smooth that i loved it just a basic documents and information of mine and a simple video of my face with Aadhaar and that's it my demat account was open with the pancard KYC registration.i even got my login ID and password in just one day of the registration. I am really satisfied with Upstox :-)
If anyone want to open a Trading Account, go for any other broker but avoid Upstox.
First of all, buggy app and portal. their portal either doesnt let you login or slows down during morning trading session

Their customer team never picks the call and do not respond timely. If you raise any ticket, it will get closed automatically without any comment or note from their team. They dont even bother to focus on customer pain areas
This trading app/portal comes with least and most confusing features or reports.
I placed multiple withdrawal requests.
All 3 requests were “Approved” and “Processed” and amount was supposed to be credited in my account within 24 working hours. Its been 10 days for the 1st withdrawal request, 5 days for another and 3 days for last one.
For none of these requests I got the credit in my account. These pathetic dumb moron do not even bother to answer my endless queries and follow ups.
This is the worst trading concept with evil minds working behind the scene.

I really appreciate the efforts your team had put to get to this level but I really feel that this app is not for the people who want smooth experience. For instance
- when we open the app sometimes it open quickly and sometimes it takes a lot of time as if this app belongs to an ancient period
- more than 50% of time it stucks on the order page or in other words it fail to load the page properly
- the overall app UI it’s so pleasing as compared to other trading apps.
- it misses out on some basic information like having a separate area for portfolio analysis or having some graphical interface as well .
- misses on a feature like net loss or profit out of the whole portfolio.
I really look forward to have a better app in future and want to request developer to take some of these suggestions into consideration so as we can make it better together as an interested user and developer .
I am very disappointed by your service,on Thursday I was trying to load balance through UPI but it’s didn’t work and then I tried with adding fund by indus smart transfer but their is also same issue the balance was not loaded, I bear a loss of 40 thousand because of you people.
And I also register complaints against this issue but no one can able to solve my issue each and every one is only transfer call from one desk to another and at the end of day i got nothing and they also said our customers executive call u personally but no one called yet, still i am not able to trade daily i losses some amount of money, i hope this review will take seriously.
I was prompted to change the password but there was no forgot password option. As I use other authentication mechanism I don’t remember my password. Now, ideally I should not be able to login and place order. But to my surprise, when I closed the app and opened again I was able to login and automatically and place orders. Although I was happy I could place the order but it’s a serious security issue. Then since yday I’m unable to even go to the login screen. The app shows a blank screen with logo that’s it. I called the support, they I would receive an email but not received anything. Now I again called them, they said pls try uninstalling the app and install again. My app is updated and I don’t know how it will solve the problem but I’m doing it now. Will update once I do this. Upstox team pls look into this.!!!
Dear Upstox team, you are doing good, but flaws are inevitable. First I noticed a problem in placing a advanced cover order which never executed my desired value but the market value, but you rectified. Now I am facing another problem, which is Upstox is not supporting my wifi network but it opens and operates on my mobile network.. very weird but true.. I experienced it after upgrading the app today.. Developers please find a solution.. for more details you can call me any time
Dear upstox team, your application is very user friendly which makes a person to trade easily. I would like to complain about the performance of the application as sometimes when a person wants to switch to some other app and then come to samw upstox app, it takes a lot of time reconnect or somwtimes it just says to login, so that becomes an indicator for poor performance. I would like you to consider it and please add the day and light feature in the application that you have it in upstox pro web.
