Why do we tend to play games? One of the main reasons is the rewarding experience that it offers which makes your brain hooked-up into the game. The game developers have no doubt developed an intriguing game that provides you the excitement of exploring, competing with other players to conquer various seats of power in Westeros. So, the overall game goes like this...
You’re provided with a ‘keep’ which is sort of a castle, where you can grow and acquire resources, train army, research improvements, and finally hatch and upgrade your dragon. You start at level 1, and can reach a maximum of level 34. To upgrade to a higher level, you require a multitude of resources and of course time!! You can forge 4-tiered allegiances, with potential of rallying together as army to attack other players and occupy seats of power e.g. winterfell... Looks all exciting but wait!!
When you join game, you come across certain allegiances which occupy most of the seats of power, and these allegiances typically comprise of players at very high ‘keep levels’ (keep levels 20-25). So in order to enjoy the taste of occupying a seat of power, you either need to reach their ‘keep levels’ so that you can compete effectively or you can join their allegiance provided there is some space left.
Now, here is the disappointing part. Acquiring these resources is truly a painful task! You are allowed to build only a limited number of farms, sawmills, stone quarries which produce resources at a much less rate. To alleviate this, you are provided with ample resources by Tyrion for each task you complete. Also, when you take part in events, you can earn ‘resource boxes’ by competing in them. In the beginning of game, the amount of resources to upgrade is quite less. But with each upgrade, the requirement for resources increases exponentially!!! While resource production increases only linearly.
So a time comes, when you have reached keep level of 12-14 where you are now feeling the crunch of resources and you can’t upgrade further without the ‘resource boxes’. The easiest way to acquire them would be to SPEND YOUR MONEY (in-game purchases) or else keep on saving resources at miserly pace via the free method with constant fear of losing the resources, if a higher player attacks you.
On chatting with the high keep level players during the game I came to know that they have spent a fortune just to reach that level! And that’s not even the max.. it’s keep levels of 22-26 that too after playing for 2-3 years!!. And those players who have been playing the free-only version and not part of any major top level allegiance, have reached keep levels of 14-16 in the same time and are without any seats of power!
So, in the end the CRUX of the game is.. You need to sacrifice.. either MONEY or TIME or BOTH, depending on your gaming priorities!

First thing is this game is very very tough to play without purchase. The pack available for purchase are that too expensive or you can say they give very very less in return of money. Also once you invested you will think that’s it now you are in top player list, but that’s no true, there’s no limit where you find yourself in top others may unite and kill all your investments because that’s the game kill others game and investment and make this company more profitable. DO NOT spend on this game, the customer support team will NEVER compensate you for the losses you face in the game. They’re extremely unapologetic and no matter how many screenshots or screen recordings you share with them, they won’t help you. “I’m sorry you feel that way, at the moment I cannot compensate you for the losses you’ve faced” is their favourite reply. And on top of that, they will ALWAYS blame your phone and your internet connection. WB makes a fool out of its players. Wish I could share screenshots here, I’d love to expose the liars they are! I picked this one up pretty recently, precisely the Monday after the Season 8 finale. The void can’t be filled, this game is not related to the storyline. Yet, doesn’t matter, a fan feeds on memories. The Song of Ice & Fire asides, the gameplay is engaging. I’m a learner so cannot compare it with the others in the genre, but for me this one is a good starting point.
The review is strictly for the series fan rather than a strategy gamer. For the latter, I’m not qualified, with the former I can empathise. Enjoy the world of dragons, lions, bannermen and siege. Go for the Throne!

It’s been 20 hours since my keep was attacked and randomly teleported, yet I couldn’t find my keep in anywhere I couldn’t send my troops to farm or to hunt you wasted my whole day resources I might get attacked again and lose all my troops again after millions I just spent to heal my troops. The game seems to be a good one and I find it thoroughly enjoyable, but almost empties the battery within 3 hours of gameplay. Hope the developers are able to fix this quickly.
