I have to say…both Shankar and Rahman threw their past successes and worked like two new people who have just entered cinema…..Surprised to see shankar okayed these tunes in first place….well done combo….still can’t believe these songs are created by the same combo which did “En veettu thottathil” twenty years ago…..at that time that was so fresh…and “i” is so fresh to this generation….amazing...

A R Rahman is a composer who takes risks in every album he does. This one being a magnum opus, he still took the same risk to compose different tunes at international level and experimenting at its best. None could have expected a local western track like Mersel Aayiten from AR.

Did you? :) that was a attempt to show ppl that he too can give instant hits and chartbuster songs like Anirudh does. Mersel aayitten will be the no:1 entertaning song of the year. Pookale this has a shankar arr typical combo stamp all over it. Can be said on the lines of kumari , sahaana , kaadhal anukkal kind of track. Shreya and haricharan gave their best.

Ladio , this one is totally experimental an trend changing track. Aila aila its funky ,quirky ,conky ,peppy with so many variations in a single song will withstand for long in our playlists for sure. Ennodu nee irundhaal by sid and sunita is typical rahaman melody with some classy beats and strings it will surely make one fall in love instantly. Reprise version is dominated by chinmayi and the entire orchestration of the song was a classic. Mersel aayiten remix its a shorter version and what i liked was neeti's humming throughout impressed me a lot. Energetic. Overall its a classy commercial album for all types of audience. The reach will be huge and its a album that will stay in our playlist for years. Worth every penny. A R Rahman is the best for all decades. He's ruling from his first album till "I". None can stop him from being at top no: 1. My rating :- 5/5.
