Godsend. The beauty of this composition lies in the way love and spirituality form the warp and weft of the fabric called Ranjhanaa. It is intricate, profound, elegant and soulful. My son, all of 5 loves 'Piya Milenge' that he listens to while he plays with his toys. The album is one of the many profound ones from AR that will remain etched in our hearts forever.
Loved every song and strongly believe AR perhaps understood the story and the characters better than the way it was depicted in the movie.

Another masterpiece from the maestro... A class apart work of classic! All the songs are awesome and distinct. The lyrics deserve equal credit.
This music is only going to sound better each time you listen to it! Difficult to pick favorites but Tu Mun Shudi, Tum Tak, Nazar Laye and Piya Milenge are good starters to get started with.

Primarily will appeal to North Indians, many classical influences, I feel... an album that reflects the movie closely...
Indian arrangements are lovely
-ARR back in his innovative zone in Hindi- thanks to Anand Rai for allowing that.
-Really wish the Meluha like ' Land of Shiva' piece was much longer, it was gorgeous.
-My picks: Title track, Tum tak, Nazar layena, Banarasiya....
- After listening to all tracks my favourite , unlikely as it seems is Ay Sakhi... for Irshad Kamil, Madhushree, for the sheer sound and voice quality and the beats (ghatam?? Wonder what else??) . The song is on loop for days.

What can one say...this album is what Rahman fans have been praying for since very long time. Tum tak track transports you to varanasi and you can literally feel as if the lights lamps are slowly getting ignited like a beginning of aarti on the Ganga ghats :)... Raanjhnaa track has so much emotion wrapped in its beats...its difficult to escape the flow of emotions....piye milenge has rahman and sukhwinder singh back in action after a long time and yes they recreate magic yet again....banarasiya is good...i loved shreya ghoshals voice....in fact voice supports the song very rare for an ar rahman composition....nazar laaye na..well neeti mohan voice is refreshing and lovely to listen....tu mun shudi....rabbi and rahman rock together....all an all great album...arr rocks :)

The songs are brillantly crafted to perfection... songs like "Tu Mun Shudi" is really out of this world ... first time I heard the song I got goose bumps ... it's total madness ... even the sufi song Piya milenge which has essence of western fusion ... this album could only be made by a God and that's AR Rahman sir...Thank you itunes for providing us with this brillant composition.
