Dopeadelicz band can be called find of the year, especially coming from Dharavi. Kudos to Ranjith for discovering this talent. Santosh has beautifully leveraged them. Especially Poraduvom, Theruvilakku and Nikkal Nikkal being just bit montages in the movie, he has composed them into full length songs for the album. Semma Weightu is just that... semma weightu. Yogi B does his thing in Katravai Patravai. His rendering as usual has his signature punch. Thanga Sela is a foot tapping song with the quintessential dholak playing that sounds pleasing. Shankar Mahadevan's voice sounds a bit strained in places, but might be apt on the screen with being shot on fairly aged character couple. Kannamma and it's Acapella version is Santosh at his melodious best. Thanga Sela and Kannamma sound to be arranged and recorded live. A rare occurrence these days. My pick of the lot is Urumai Meetpom for it's arrangement and qawali type composition. Sounds very refreshing and different. Ananthu and Vijay Prakash complement each other beautifully. Overall a fantastic blend of tunes and genres.

My early opinion: Tracks 1-6 are quite good. Not really a fan of the Dopeadelicz tracks 7-9. Need time to get used to them. Excellent lyrics. I’m sure all songs will rock with the magical screen presence of the one and only SuperStar Rajinikanth. 🤘🏼
