DT is one of the few bands who even after producing high quality music for such a long time still manage to better themselves. The Astonishing is a proof of their skill and how as a band they can go where very few bands can. Generally you get hooked to couple of songs from an album but like other DT greats this is one of these albums where you want to listen to each and every song multiple times. Since buying this I must have listened end to end latest 25 times.

There is a story no doubt that unfolds quite beautifully and and musical wizardy of Jon Petrucci, Jordan Rudess and James LaBrie is unfolded on you. While James has done a tremendous job of giving voice to 6 characters , The music takes you to the scene without being a copy of earlier DT stuff.
