An appropriately zesty and zippy OST for the action spectacle

The 2019 box-office smash War is remembered as much for the song “Ghungroo”—and Hritik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s slick dance moves—as for its incredible action sequences. The OST for its sequel, like the film itself, ups the ante with swift, adrenaline-fuelled electro-pop numbers like “Janab-e-Aali” and its English rap version “Tripping High”, which features indie hip-hop stars Tsumyoki and RANJ. There’s not a ballad in sight; even the romantic duet “Aavan Jaavan” is blissfully breezy and uptempo, with only the “Raghu & Kaboo Theme” (and its melancholic strings and keys) breaking the pace.
