Impassioned anthems elevate the romantic anthology’s soundtrack

Pritam’s rousing rock-inspired songs for 2007 flick Life in a… Metro—the predecessor to 2025’s Metro … In Dino—made for one of the best-loved soundtracks of the noughties. By sticking to the same sonic template, the composer’s tunes for the sequel may not be as clutter-breaking, yet they carry the same depth of emotion. Once again, layered synths and electric guitar riffs that sing form the foundation for grand declarations of love and longing, but with different vocalists. This time, it’s Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra and Raghav Chaitanya whose passionate deliveries match those power chords.
