The Puerto Rican star remains reliable on his R&B-infused album

A most reliable collaborator in recent years, Brray participated in team-ups and posse cuts galore throughout 2024, linking with the likes of Anitta, Miky Woodz and Ñengo Flow, to name a few. Following 2021’s Err Bambini full-length, the Puerto Rican star presents his most substantive release in three years with El Alma De La Fiesta. Some of those previously released singles appear here, collectively framing his trap-informed R&B vibe. Among them, a popular pair of guest-heavy reggaetón remixes, for “Corazón Roto” and “Mis Amigas”, bring a wide range of multigenerational talent into his orbit, from JHAYCO and Ryan Castro to Ñejo and Jowell & Randy, respectively. Between the emerging revelations of “Otra Debilidad” and the sexual tensions of “Relación Muerta”, he proves both sensitive soul and slick lothario. His production tastes bleed into these tracks in unexpected ways, with occasional potent dips into retro dancehall and other tropical sounds.
