The Punjabi star brings his A-game to this long-awaited debut LP

It’s taken him almost a decade to release his debut album, but Punjabi singer and actor Jordan Sandhu has packed his first full-length LP with a whopping 14 tracks—approximately the number of singles he’s put out every year since breaking through with “Teeje Week” in 2018. Unlike that bhangra pop smash, ALPHA leans more towards hip-hop in its vibe, courtesy of producers such as Desi Crew, MXRCI and Yeah Proof, while the lyrical content is balanced between the raucous and the romantic. That said, there’s a distinct folk flavour to the earnestly delivered “Jimmewari” and energy-filled “Pre Workout”.
