The dynamic Punjabi artist flexes about life’s finer pleasures

With every new record, Navaan Sandhu grows as an artist. His 2023 EP Relentless was just that and, later in the year, his album Naveezy introduced us to the Punjabi singer and songwriter’s emotional side. Over four tracks, Paper Before Money elevates the feel-good and moving elements of his previous offerings. There’s a hedonistic vibe, for sure, but Sandhu also sings about the battles he’s endured to earn respect. On “Famous Enough”, he trades life lessons with singer Gurlej Akhtar over beats by producer Rxtro. Another highlight is the soaring title track, with its rousing hook and subtle guitar licks.
