The lyrical maestro hits beast mode with a defiant clutch

It takes a certain amount of self-confidence to declare yourself as worthy of devotion as KR$NA does on “Prarthana”. But then again, its parent EP resoundingly reasserts the hip-hop hero’s GOAT status. FAR FROM OVER has everything Dollar Sign is reputed for: breathless bilingual bars stuffed with razor-sharp wordplay and more pop culture references than a Simpsons episode. He also revels in his love of collabs on duets as fun as they are fiery. And there’s melancholy, too, as he gets reflective on “Some Of Us”, which features poignant verses from Canadian-Punjabi rapper-songwriter AR Paisley.
