A dreamy, poppy and rousing suite for the coming-of-age film

Thanks to composer Jen Martin, songs of love and escapism dominate the soundtrack for Tamil romantic coming-of-age drama DADA. Its uplifting electronic-pop sound includes a number of film music elements like the pulsing folk rhythms on “Kirutu Kirutu”, which is peppered with Anthony Daasan’s powerful vocals. Yuvanshankar Raja’s deft touch elevates “Pogathey”, child-like glee rings out on “DADA Song” and trap-music flourishes add depth to “Klesa Kadhala” and “Redemption of Dada”.
