Monumental songs that galvanise the Telugu fantasy flick

Time-travelling action movie Bimbisara covers both the present day and a regal past. Its grandiose soundtrack does the same, with the composer team of M.M. Keeravani, Chirrantan Bhatt and Varikuppala Yadagiri conjuring up a musical journey that’s as monarchial as it is contemporary. “Eeshwarude”, led by playback singer Kaala Bhairava, has a devotional bent while “Neetho Unte Chalu” pairs mandolin and the voices of Mohana Bhogaraju and Sandilya Pisapati for a sprawling love song. “Vijayaho” impresses with its choral arrangements and “Bimbi Bimbisara - Rap Song” finishes the soundtrack with a hip-hop flourish.
