A celebration of small-town flavour with moving tunes

Amit Trivedi's soundtrack breathes life into the film with its evocative melodies, kicking off with Arijit Singh’s “Aaj Se Teri” that embellishes a folksy sound with an Indian raga-like melody. Mika's “The Pad Man” song introduces the title character via quirky lyrics and a jaunty ladies chorus, while the wedding song “Sayaani” celebrates Indian traditions with classic instrumentation, celebrating the soundtrack’s rustic side. Other highlights include the pop-rock of “Saale Sapne”, sung by Mohit Chauhan, and “Hu Ba Hu”—a signature upbeat Trivedi cut.
