Tamil auteur Mani Ratnam's violent tale of a family blood feud over a multinational criminal empire finds his longtime collaborator and filmi music legend A. R. Rahman craft a complementary soundtrack laced with menace and passion. The indomitably sunny and catchy love song "Mazhai Kuruvi" segues into a furious flurry of Sunitha Sarathy vocals on the energetic "Sevandhu Pochu Nenju".
