DSP's folk percussion is high on energy and spirit

Devi Sri Prasad provides an aptly rustic Tollywood soundtrack for Ram Charan's action-drama Rangasthalam building on the film’s period village setting with his recurring motif—salt-of-the-earth sensibilities set to sincere acoustic instrumentation. He evokes this beautifully on “Yentha Sakkagunnave” with simply strummed guitar, poetic lyrics and restrained, stripped-back production. “Ranga Ranga Rangasthalaana” kicks the pace up a notch with a heavy percussion section providing that foot-tapping feel—while “Aa Gattununtaava” brings an equally upbeat mood with an ‘80s spin.
