Sultry sizzlers set the mood for steamy big-screen thrills

Tanishk Bagchi and Himesh Reshammiya each contribute unique flavours to the multi-composer soundtrack to Hate Story IV, roping in sounds ranging from ‘70s Bollywood to rock and Latin rhythms in a collection of tracks designed to bring out the passion in the film’s sultry romantic intrigues. Despite the storyline’s extreme emotional swings, the songs are unexpectedly nuanced—Jubin Nautiyal and Amrita Singh deliver subtle phrasing on the ballad “Tum Mere Ho”, while Nautiyal pairs up with Neeti Mohan over Spanish guitar on the mid-tempo charmer “Boond Boond”. Reshammiya’s “Aashiq Banaya Apne” gets an EDM update as timely as it is catchy.
