This next-generation Tamil soundtrack is packed with rap, rock and romance

Kabali's soundtrack, scored by Santhosh Narayanan, is packed with music to complement the larger-than-life leading man Rajinikanth: opening song "Ulagam Oruvanukka" is notably gritty, backed by uplifting drums and electronic vibes. The film's gangster leanings are demonstrated in instant earworm "Neruppu Da", all electro stings and fiery guitar riffs. Alongside all the swagger, however, there is room for sensitivity, as seen in "Maya Nadhi", which features the stunning vocals of Ananthu, Pradeep Kumar and Shweta Mohan.
